Hazzard County being in the house is very cool! 👍🏽👍🏽 Move Over People Are Racing That's nice of the Chinese that now owns those companies to donate some stuff. Specially seeing that they've managed to run them all way downhill since they acquired them.
Edelbrock is not Chinese-owned in any way, shape or form. Rather, it's owned by Industrial Opportunity Partners (IOP) out of Illinois. It's pretty easy to look up. Unfortunately, due to EPA standards and globalist negotiating away America's industrial independence, we don't hardly produce any raw steel domestically, requiring companies to purchase raw materials for US-made manufacturing. Thankfully, all Edelbrock/Comp's aluminum is still cast in the US.
@@moparconnection LoL OK Guess the conglomerate group has moved it's base on paper. It's not a secret in the scene. Comp sold out year's ago to the same group. Have multiple personal friend's that lost their jobs here in Michigan. What's the warehouse manager a young Asian female now? She was breed in IL. They own almost every major company now. And Edelbrock went to garbage after the buyout as well. And they also got rid of all high payed employees. Carbs are cast in Mexico now. Heads are garbage too. And we won't even get into the nightmare MSD has become since they sold out. Owned by the same group... Why's Comp sell China lifters now? I'll wait
Every Edelbrock carburetor is cast in South Carolina. The manifolds are STILL cast in California and Illinois. Holley owns MSD, not COMP or Edelbrock. And because idiot Americans are too cheap to support US companies using US-made materials AND keep voting for Democrats we can't produce enough raw material to remain competitive with US taxpayer-subsidized Chinese steel costs. So raw stock for cams, lifters and more are made from Chinese steel and machined in Memphis, TN.
I met you today, you never finished the story on how your Charger's Grille had a connection to the General Lee, you mentioned something about a guy in La Cienaga, (I was the guy with the 1:18 scale General Lee signed by Cathrine Bach & Tom Sarmento that was put in Rob Kibbe's General Lee
In brief, we encountered a gentleman who had 4 shipping containers full of '68-'69 Charger parts all in various levels of disrepair. I was able to purchase 3 complete (and 1 incomplete) damaged grilles from him for $500 and piece together the one in the Charger currently. When asked where he got all of these parts, he laughed "there's an old scrap yard down the valley. I'd sneak in there and took what I could." After some investigation, we realized he had been sneaking into the CBS/Warner Bro's storage lot where they had stored the General Lees.
Very nice video thanks for posting it
Glad you enjoyed it
A scavenger hunt is a great idea! Love to have you at a future moparfest in Ontario 🇨🇦
