I would be over the moon if someone made me something like this for my birthday (and I'm in my 40's). Very cool. I hope your daughter has/had a great birthday!! She should definitely love this
What a spectacular little treasure chest. I first thought that you were going to have to do a lot of metal work making the bands and edging. Your plan made it very realistic and no welding required. I'm sure she loved it. Well done Dad!!
Love how meticulous you are with your projects and your attention to detail. 👌🏾 Excellent build, mate, I bet your daughter is thrilled with your efforts. 👍🏾
First time, I missed the block plane used to chamfer the edges of the sides/ends of the chest. So much love going into this - your daughter will cherish this for years, and hopefully pass it on to her children. Man, you've just made yourself as close to immortal as anyone can. RESPECT!
What a great project! I am deeply impressed what you created from some old palette wood (and some extra hardware of course)! The used look of the flamed/burned wood looks extra authentic. Now I want to build my own 😄
I love your projects - please keep sharing them! Very nice, I love building containers & boxes (I don't know why). You have one lucky little girl, dad could have gone cheap for an item used one day, but this is forever. I see many memories being saved in this box.
You are a very smart, talented and amazing craftsman sir! This little treasure chest is a work of art and I'm sure your daughter will be very pleased with it!
You Sir, are an incredible skilled craftsman. Thankyou for the video the format is great and images perfect. Your daughter will have not only the chest but treasured memories from her father. 👏👏👏
Oh no! What's you awesome-fantastic wooden lathe is doing on the ground? Hahaha. Just kidding. I saw your video about the absence period. Hope things are better. Great chest. My best, Bento from Brasil.
Now my daughter wants one. I don't have a table saw (or room for one in my garage), so I'll have to make a few tweaks. Good thing I've got 7 months before her birthday.
Very nicely done. I didn't see any plans or other details for it on your website as you mention in the description, though. I am interested in building something very similar. I especially liked recycling the pallet wood.
Ig bi a chlei niidisch uf Dyni Tochter. Isch es super Projekt u gseht mega us. Was het Dyni Tochter äch dine? Merci für ds Video u d‘Idee. Viellicht boueni ou mau eini, wär weiss...
Once i get the tools, I'm looking to build something like this to keep gold and silver bullion in, probably some gems too if i can find some good ones that are worth a bit.
I'd love to see a tutorial on how to make this! I'm trying to make a treasure chest like this so that I can make an authentic-looking guide-to-magic and leave it out somewhere for some little kid to stumble upon so that I can inspire them to write me some fantasy books. Yes, I have ulterior motives, but the outcome would be good for everyone involved, and I have not read a SINGLE book from the perspective of a dragon, so something is wrong, and it must be fixed. Rather than writing that book myself (I don't have the energy for it), I am going to craft something so epic that I change someone's life, hopefully luring them into the trap of writing at just the right angle that they find a good way to write a fantasy book and years later write one from the perspective of a dragon, and then I can read it. Much easier.
This is such a cool project! With the part where you were filing down the metal bands, before you used the hand file, what was the tool you used? Was that just the table saw blade?
See after brushing the burnt wood off, no matter how many times I scrub it, my fingers n hands are always brown from it, what can I do to stop that from coming off? A clear coat or something?
Im new to all this. I love how this came out and want to do a similar one, but bigger. Im just wondering if you could list the machinery you used in this video (if its not too much trouble). I hope to find them at the lowest prices i can since im essentially starting from the beginning.

This is the coolest chest I’ve seen. I wish you sold them.
I've watched 4 videos similar and this is my favorite. Great Job!!!
What a spectacular little treasure chest. I first thought that you were going to have to do a lot of metal work making the bands and edging. Your plan made it very realistic and no welding required. I'm sure she loved it. Well done Dad!!
Great stuff. Your daughter must have been delighted and the envy of all her friends.
Love how meticulous you are with your projects and your attention to detail. 👌🏾
Excellent build, mate, I bet your daughter is thrilled with your efforts. 👍🏾
Awesome video again. It’s nice to have you back.👍

Excellent job. Many good tips in the process of building. Thanks.

Sieht echt cool aus, ich dachte zuerst das es wirklich Metallbeschläge sind! 👍👍👍👏👏👌👌👍👍👍

Every little girl should have a father like you!
Oh no! What's you awesome-fantastic wooden lathe is doing on the ground? Hahaha. Just kidding. I saw your video about the absence period. Hope things are better. Great chest. My best, Bento from Brasil.
Marvelous chest! The only thing I would have done differently is put the hinges on the inside... for further security.
Now my daughter wants one. I don't have a table saw (or room for one in my garage), so I'll have to make a few tweaks. Good thing I've got 7 months before her birthday.
👍🙂
Superb achievement! just one question, how did you find the cut angles for the round? Thank you
Very nicely done. I didn't see any plans or other details for it on your website as you mention in the description, though. I am interested in building something very similar. I especially liked recycling the pallet wood.
I really want to buy one of those

Wow! Ich hab nen Moment gebraucht bis i h gemerkt hab dass es Schwiitzerdütsch ist. Klasse Dialekt wie ich find :)
Nice built. What degrees did you cut the boards for the lid?
Once i get the tools, I'm looking to build something like this to keep gold and silver bullion in, probably some gems too if i can find some good ones that are worth a bit.
Very nice!what angles do you cut the boards on the table saw to make the semi circle?
What is the black trim he used this was amazing
Nice one. Add a strap and she has a hand bag, I’m sure she will fill it . . 😊
Awesome build!!! What type of wood did you use for the trim? Especially the wood that you soaked and bent.
Amigo, seu trabalho está perfeito. Parabéns
Eu só não colocaria esse cadeado. Não combinou.
Colocaria um cadeado mais antigo de uma cor escura.

When you brush off the soot after the wood burn, is that a steel brush or a bristle?
This is such a cool project! With the part where you were filing down the metal bands, before you used the hand file, what was the tool you used? Was that just the table saw blade?
Excellent job.but i ask whats angle of edges of top woods slats
congratulations excellent job, I really liked it, how many degrees did you use to cut the trunk lid I'm from Brazil
What angle did you rip the pieces for the curved top?
Great build! What were the final dimensions?
And later she could use it as a jewelry box
is it possible to get some bluprints of this build?
What kind of brush was that you used after the burning?
How do you figure out the angles to cut the slats fornthe lid?
it would be nice if you were talking about what your doing while your doiing it. VS only occasionaly
See after brushing the burnt wood off, no matter how many times I scrub it, my fingers n hands are always brown from it, what can I do to stop that from coming off? A clear coat or something?
Are you going to sell these plans on your website?
How do you calculate the chamfer angles for the chest-top slats?
Maybe drawing and using transfer angle?
Ciao, sul tuo sito non ci sono i piani di questo cassa del tesoro! Come li posso avere? Grazie
checked your site and the specs aren't there.
What if you only have a left-handed wheel
After playing genshin impact , i want a real treasure chest LOL
yup it's all wooden. 100% w-o-o-d. no metal whatsoever.
Im new to all this. I love how this came out and want to do a similar one, but bigger. Im just wondering if you could list the machinery you used in this video (if its not too much trouble). I hope to find them at the lowest prices i can since im essentially starting from the beginning.
