How do you get him used to doing his hair? I barely condition or brush my boys and he acts like I'm ripping his hair out
You said you barely condition/brush his hair which is probably contributing to his pain.
Is your son mixed with black? If so, his hair should be dangled with conditioner every wash. Not trying to be mean I’m trying to inform you as a black mother myself.
You just gotta get them use to it the more you brush their hair the easier it is
Definitely invest in leave in conditioner and also if you shampoo his hair you should co wash it instead, getting him to wear something to protect his hair at night makes alot of difference too. My daughter's hair gets so dry if she doesn't wear her bonnet. Also, If you're not washing his hair but it needs to be combed, use water in a spray bottle

Could you do a video showing how you braided his hair. I can't really tell how you did it and I want to braid my daugthers hair the exact same way. It doesn't look like you are doing a french braid. How did you dod it?

I've been dealing with this with my grandsons hair since he was this age. My son won't cut it and he doesn't like getting his hair braided 1 bit. His is longer bcse he's almost 3. My go to is about 6 braids bcse only 2 braids would be more pulling but it turns out super cute considering. Your baby hair loss nice also
