I've had mine for 15 years and it still works fine. The door did start to rust a little in spots after around 10 years, so I sanded the rust spots, put 2 coats of Rustoleum primer on it and then 2 coats of Rustoleum paint. It still looks like new 5 years after that. That said, the surface rust I sanded didn't affect its operation, so it still worked fine - just didn't look as nice. I'm not sure if fixing the rust would have been covered by a warranty, but for a couple cans of spray paint, I wasn't going worry about it. With occasional maintenance, it should last longer than me.
It doubles as an oil change pit for your vehicles as well.
I think it might be useful for protection in case an intruder was trying to break into your home Hide inside and call 911 . Don’t know just a thought
