  • The aprilia Crank locking Tool used to lock the rear cylinder ready for valve clearance adjustment.
The engine has a full oil level and it dribbled out a tiny amount of oil I didn't even have to use my nut and o-ring to seal it , and it's a 6mm Allen not socket.

You started the right way, marking everything. Should have no problems, good luck. 🔧🏍️

Thanks for your reply just adjusted today and to be fair it's not a hard job when all locked at the crank end everything is marked or has a dot stamp from the factory

after days of searching and seeing little snippets here and there but never quite enough. I find your videos and you nailed it. as far as i have seen you are the only one who covers Finding TDC and locking crank to ensure reassembly is done at tdc. thanks mate.

Thanks for your kind words , it's quite easy just take your time there all marked up from those boys from Rotax .
Just block all holes up so nothing drops in them .

Thanks very much just what I was looking for. Do you have dimensions for the locking tool you made up.

Think M8 130mm long domed end and strength 12 I believe well the strongest one you can get ,works a treat at a fraction of the cost by some .
