YOU DO MAKE GREAT VIDEOS AND I ALWAYS TRY TO WATCH IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. ACTUALLY YOU FEW CANADIENS INSPIRE AND MOTIVATE ME A LOT (CHRIS, PETER, MATTI, GERALD, YOU AND FEW OTHERS) IM BASICALLY FROM INDIA AND it's 2:45 am I THINK THIS TIME YOUR CONTENT WASNT GOOD ENOUGH LIKE MOST OF YOUR PREVIOUS VIDEOS. IM EXTREMELY SORRY FOR SAYING THIS TO YOU BUT I HOPE YOU WILL TAKE THIS IN GOOD AND POSITIVE WAY. MUCH LOVE
I think I would rather fake it in LR since I do not have to wait for it to be processed or buy rolls of film. I did just order a film camera. I wanted to continue working with film since I learned and used a bunch while in school. At the moment though, I have no problem with faking it so that I can achieve the same look. Thanks Lizzie for this and sharing it with us!
Definitely shoot film itself. There is nothing like shooting and getting your film back. While emulating film looks are very in rn it doesn't hold a torch to film.
I love the fact that the monitor has measurement marks at the bottom and sides. I used nail polish marks on mine so that I can look at certain print sizes to scale.
thanks for the video... i have 1 question, from 6:42 - -> 7:16 the image look completely different, yet we didnt see the change you did to it, did i miss something, felt like the crucial transformation for the look happened in that transition, yet we didnt see what you did.
Just tried this one a family portrait I took, it was my first time trying continous lighting and I was really worried and nervous, the pics looked nice but I thought I need more softness and damn... this came out buttery, followed the tutorial just so I can understand and wow thank you!
Love this. Been stuck in a bit of a rut with editing every photo the same way. Nice to see a totally different edit to my own, it’s inspired me to do things a bit differently and have fun with edits again!
This is awesome! I always lean towards dramatic edits its so nice to have something to reel me back in and this is hella accurate. Well done! I love how you look at colour editing
dang, the specs for that 24" variation at only $200 is actually really competitive. and to think I just came to watch you edit photos - BONUS I got a good monitor recommendation.
Great tutorial! Definitely a style I’d seen before but never was able to replicate. Have some clients that are going to love this style applied to their portraits! Thanks so much for sharing this!
This was such a good tutorial! Great speed (I hate it when they're too slow) and exactly what I was looking for with just the right amount of explanation and just doing it. Awesome, thank you!
Who the f... down voted this video? You are killing it and your channel is one of my favorite channels. I really like your laid back professional presentation. Thank you and keep up the good work. You really deserve a lot more than 142k subs😊
@@tobiasnietgen OK, thank you for answering. I didn't think of that anyone would react with a down vote because of that 😊 As I see it, it's just a trend and next year there will be another look that is popular. Anyway, I look at the video as a whole and I like the way she's presenting her topics.
Thanks for the preset! I figured I'd pick up your Lunar pack and bedroom preset while I was there. I hope you have a wonderful day and give Luna a pet for me!
The edit was amazing. The end result was stunning. Also who else caught a few photo elbow and ear bombs lol. I see you there Chris, who can notice how many times? This should be thing who can show up on the others vid with ninja like skill. Love you work Lizzie 😆😆😆
I find that portra is just a few kelvin north of daylight, plus green shift to pull some of those pork hues out of the skin of white people and cyan those skies. Basically like a flat Astia from Fujifilm. Honestly, I prefer the blue magenta shift that Ektar has going on, I think it makes colour more a part of the equation compared to Portra's catch-all green beige aesthetic. It does look nostalgic though. ✌️
Love the ! I mostly shoot landscapes so editing portraits is not something I really do, but this preset works well (after some tweaking for winter conditions), thanks!
Leave it to me to be watching this while my 1983 Olympus is sitting next to me with Portra in it lol. Editing my Sony mirrorless images when i could've just used it from the get go haha.
That's absolutely amazing! Loved seeing the process and I definitely need to spend waaaaayyyyyy more time diving into the intricacies of lightroom! Keep up the awesome work and the preset is much appreciated 👍👍
Would you rather shoot on film or fake it in LR?

Use film simulations in Fujifilm.
Shoot it on film 😺
As you edit the image, you're explaining why you're doing the adjustments. Not many people do it like you and for that I thank you.
you had me at "free portra preset" - and love how you actually showed how you did it
Thought that might help 😂

Hey! Tank you so much for this video and the preset. It's a great video!
Can you calibrate this monitor using external tools like Spyder? If it - it's useless for professional use.
Can’t open up the file on my iPhone... 🥺
Can you do a tutorial on the new colour grading tab in LrC? That would really help with my editing
Thank you sooo much for explaining this! I am quiet bad at editing tones and all I have is Photoshop CS4 but this video actually helped me out. :)
I don't actually watch sponsor adds but that editing is badass
The edit was amazing. The end result was stunning. Also who else caught a few photo elbow and ear bombs lol. I see you there Chris, who can notice how many times? This should be thing who can show up on the others vid with ninja like skill. Love you work Lizzie 😆😆😆

Hii! Great video :)
How did you make the framework on the thumbnail? Looks great!
Love the ! I mostly shoot landscapes so editing portraits is not something I really do, but this preset works well (after some tweaking for winter conditions), thanks!
Does anyone know how you can add the porta 400 framing around a photo?
PicsArt , go on stickers and search for Kodak
Leave it to me to be watching this while my 1983 Olympus is sitting next to me with Portra in it lol.
Editing my Sony mirrorless images when i could've just used it from the get go haha.
do specific picture profiles help with these presets?

Does this work for mobile lightroom?
