Wouldn't he matt/gloss be hidden under the varnish anyway? I matt varnish everything, but then I touch up certain spots with a brush on gloss varnish. Great for visors.
It comes down to your own preference. Synthetic is more durable and cheaper, natural is more delicate and more expensive. I have both and it mostly depends on what technique I'm using rather than the type of paint I use. If I do something rough, like removing enamel paint, or pushing enamels around on the mini, then I use synthetic. These movements are bad for your brush and will damage it quickly, so I prefer to use a cheap brush that can withstand the abuse a bit better. If I do regular painting, then I use natural brushes.
Maybe not this many, but 1 unit of 9 to infiltrate and block your opponents infiltrate and scout moves, then 2 X 3 are still good for screening, behind enemy lines, engage and of course the -1 hit in melee debuff
It's hilarious to play with. Pick the -1WS/BS contagion and everything is constantly at -2 to hit. Anyone who tries to get in melee is stuck there for the rest of the game. Take a couple of fixed secondaries like homers and cleanse and you're scoring slowly, but surely more than your opponent. The new mission might change a lot though!
for anyone who actually plays in events i would suggest not waiting your money doing this, any decent TO would look at the scrawny model and call modelling for advantage
I'm calling nonsense on your theory. First of all, any decent TO would realize he's not at a 40k tournament and that modeling for advantage isn't really a thing in AoS. Secondly. what appears to be your definition has nothing to do with what modelling for advantage means in any recognized sense of the rule. The models are still nurglings since they are in fact nurglings, and nothing about how they are built would effect line of sight, create confusion over which model is a nurgling, or pertain to wysiwyg since nurglngs have no weapon or accessory options.
@@jarad9946 Why are you making stuff up? Do you even play AoS? What recent rulings? To my knowledge, modeling for advantage issues haven't come up as a major problem at any of the major recent AoS tournaments. I've never heard it being a problem in any game of AoS ever to be honest.
Any other good suggestions on how to get more out of a box? Let others know here in the comments!
ork truck box and 1 mek gunz box makes 4 great custom ones
Awesome idea!
That Gellerpox tip is amazing. Never would have thought of that.
This week's video has a few more of these for Death Guard
I got more like 6 out of one box but I like the way I spread them out and I still doubled by money.
Yeah, with 6 bases out of a box the minis will look better with more Nurglings per base.
@@FogOfGore yep just sort of put them in triangles and smoothed out the rock transitions with green stuff. Real easy.
Awesome stuff, nurglings are the best.
Love this idea. I can get so much more bang for my buck!
Yeah, I'm going to see if I can find more of these "kitbashes" that can get you more from a box.
@@FogOfGore yes! I think they would do great. They help so much!
I have no interest in purchasing nurgle demons, but I gotta know how you get so many DAMN nurglings 💀💀💀

I don't varnish my models, but yes. If you use a varnish it will all take on the texture of that varnish.
Subbed for next weeks video💚
Thanks for subbing, welcome aboard!
I was thinking about doing this with the nurglings on Mortarion's base
Yeah, good idea!
With oils, is it better to use a sable/natural hair paint brush, or a synthetic ?
Synthetic.

Had a similar idea. 🙂 But do you really want so many of them now with Pariah Nexus coming out?
Maybe not this many, but 1 unit of 9 to infiltrate and block your opponents infiltrate and scout moves, then 2 X 3 are still good for screening, behind enemy lines, engage and of course the -1 hit in melee debuff
That list sounds equally fun to play and oppressive to play against 😅😂

Great video!
Curious about other places to dave money and be creativenlike this.
I'm definitely going to look for more of these ways to get some more bang for your buck
I did the same but they are christmas theme
Just put one from the other boxes on a base. No one cares.
How to get more nurglings. step 1. buy 3d printer 2. buy resin 3. buy files
It seems a bit excessive to buy a printer just to get a couple extra Nurglings
@@FogOfGorebut think of all extra nurglings you can get now!

You must be playing in some very strict tournaments. Where I'm playing this is no problem at all, even in international tournaments.
@FogOfGore GTs and up can be pretty strict, especially given recent rulings as it pertains to modeling for advantage

pfffft imagine not just printing them at this stage hahahaha
I already heard about this idea, but loved to see the basing ideas and results! Looking forward to see the gellerpox video 🦠
Coming soon!
