I believe that there are some oils that are lighter and penetrate better and some that are heavier and best for sealing. Using a sealing oil first is what the problem would be. If you use a light weight absorbing oil then the cream should still be able to absorb as well.

@800mEric well fragrance (parfum) could contain a host of ingredients.. combinations of several ingredients. To my understanding, many if not most of these ingredients that make up artificial fragrances are potential irritants to the skin and generally should be avoided

When I first went natural 8 years ago I watched videos from the science of black hair and she basically talk about the LCO method before it was a method. It made sense. You lock in moisture with oil because it's a sealant. When I started to hear about the LOC method I tried it. It didn't work for me. The LCO method not only scientifically makes sense, it works for me. (I'm 3c to 4b with a hint of 4c in the front where my hair is very thin.) Love your channel. Good luck with fluff nugget.
Yeah it used to be super difficult to moisturize my hair and I was spending money like crazy. I thought let me revisit the products I have but use them differently... and for my hair LCO MADE HUGE DIFFERENCE IN MY HAIR.. it’s crazy at how the order In which you use products make a big difference in outcome!!

i almost screamed when i saw that lco won! our type 4 hair mostly thrives on the lco..first we moisturize( liquid&cream) and then we seal. since fluffnugget has thin strands, sweet almond is the perfect "light" oil. african threading gives a max stretch
kapparhotau181 with lco, you are supposed to be using a sealing oil like castor oil or even a Shea butter. Something that will lock in the moisture. Loc, is where you use the penetrating light oil like sweet almond oil.
@@MyCrimsonMischief So I tried your suggestion with castor oil with the LCO method and my scalp was so dry I cringed at how bad it felt and looked. The bright side was my hair dried within hours which has never happened in the winter. I think I will stick with the LOC method. Mine is really LLOC, i section my hair first spray on the water then work in the Leave-in then put the oil on then the cream. I think putting the leave-in after the water then the oil right away locks in the moisture b4 it escapes my strands allowing my strands to stay moisturized.
I never understood the purpose of the LOC method. I've always used the LCO because oil is a sealant. Liquids and creams are moisturizers. Unless the cream is an oil-based moisturizer, I wouldn't use it as the sealant. Now I use hair grease and it seals the hair a lot better and LONGER!
My last suggestion, use a leave-in & steam once you add everything. Once it’s all soaked into your follicles, braid or double-strand twist & leave it alone. Hydrate every 2 days with aloe juice & touch-up your LCO method at least once a week, you’ll notice a huge difference
Question would she still have to steam her hair if its already medium to high porosity tho? I think the hair follicles are open enough to recieve moisture.
GarnetBabe2.0 God's child yes, she clearly still had product sitting on her hair after it was dry. Steaming isn’t a bad thing, it helps with moisture retention
Yea African threading is the way to go in my opinion. If you leave it in long enough it will definitely stretch your hair to the point where it actually looks straight.
@@lolab1917 how do you prep your hair to African thread? And do you use yarn? I have used ribbon how to thread my hair but don't know if I'm getting maximum stretch. And perhaps I shouldn't have started with it wet, maybe on damp hair?

It depends on what oils you use. JBCO is a sealant whereas Avocado oil actually goes in the hair strand to moisturize it. Loc and lco both work. But it depends on the oil
I am also not certain if cream penetrates the hair shaft unless it is a leave in conditioner perhaps. I know that olive oil penetrate and that Jamaican black castor oil is a sealant. It should always be put on last.

Your side-whisper (with reverb, no less) into the camera has me howling! You're hilarious.
I luv that ur urself. That ur not trying to be like anyone else. 🥰
Where have you been all my life. Your intro is everything
Yessss thickness coming back💙💙. A trim for sure would be a good idea. Also do you detangle with a comb or wet brush/normal brush to get some tension on ur strands for stretched defined hair in your styles , i think it might help for your definition. And have you ever thought of blow drying you hair with a little oil and hair serum in ur hair then styling as you normally do. Nothing like a bantu knot out on some stretched hair , the curls will look beeeaaauutifuuul 💙🙏🏽 crazy definition.

I love your personality so much. This is just what I needed today.
Your hair looks so good LCO for the win❤❤
???? Am I the only who watch the "Merry Curlsmas " video at least once a week? I ♥️💜♥️💜 that video so much!
Four years later, thank you. Continue speaking to me the way you do.
i’m so happy her channel has really grown, i used to watch when your videos would get 2k views but you’d still make semi consistent upload 😂😂❤️
Lol 😂😂 this girl is wild I love it! Keep it up these videos are great your personality is bomb! Just made my whole day lol 😂 and LCO method is life for my type 4 hair.
That updo in the beginning is so creative and cute!
You’re always beautiful 😻😻 I would recommend to do a pre-poo before washing fluff nugget ☺️ leave the products in for at least 2 to 4 hours before washing and styling 😏 *we have the same eyelash strands on our head and the pre-pooing changed her life* 🥰💗
I feel seeeeeeeennn! “Trying to style a head full of eyelashes” 😂
You always make me smile😂 Danielle😆💗😄💗😂💗Thank you for lifting my sprits and educating me at the same time.
Beautiful Black Princess 👑
A bunch of eyelashes on my head
🤣
I'm a dude that is fairly low maintenance. I started growing and moisturizing my hair. I was doing my own experiments while getting familiar with my own hair type. I have similar 4C hair to yours. I think it's also mid to high porosity because it absorbed water really quickly after a shower. I found that the lco methods definitely helps my hair to absorb and lock in moisture more readily. It just so happens that I stumbled on your video about it. Good experiment.
Omg I have a head full of eyelashes😂😂
Just came across this video and I just can't get over it!! Such weirdness is so refreshing!!
Adding scrunchies to your roots when braiding really stretches your roots. I learned it from TheChicNatural
Your skin is literal goals 😭😭
Definitely download the app Think Dirty! Cantu scores pretty high on their charts and a high number is NOT a good thing! When I was using it, my head would feel itchy and flaky. I thought it might have been me since I do have sensitive skin but golly it was bad. I'd love to see you try out Shea Moisture! It has done wonders to my hair and it's gentle enough that it doesn't irritate me scalp.
I smile the whole video watching you! You're so great
