Maaaan. You just lvled me up so much. My vocalist is extremely sibilant around 9k and nothing was working as I wanted. From now I rx de-ess at the first place and then later will use pro-ds in wide band after processing. Thanks you so much!
Ever since I started editing s’s I notice them in practically every song on the radio. It’s crazy how little editing they do to s’s. In a nutshell they should re-tracked half the songs across the world lol! Not a big deal but worth noting.

Thank you for this video. I've been battling sibilance for some time and this has helped me a great deal.
Hands down the most transparent De-Esser I've ever used. Absolutely stunning process, iZotope! Well done.
Could have de-essed his own voice.

Beautiful.
really transparent De-esser. great job!
Thank you for this video, good !
how to deal with sibilance that is not just above 4200hz? Is there any way that RX can detect sibilance more dynamically?

Brighter is better in the music industry and louder is better too. 🙃
I wonder if this could work on music as well? say an overzealous hi-hat?
Absolutely.
Yes, and lots of folks are actually using this in mastering..imagine that :)
Not sure why my preset wont save...

De-sser? More like B-sser, can't hear any improvements.
lol
You can't fix a singer.
I agree. Can't seem to find a good setting for severe sibilance on a female vocal. Just like de-reverb it's poor.
Can´t fully fix a cheap mic´s high frequencies either
A lot of the problem is singers being 2 inches from the mic in a bad room when they should really be 8-12 inches from the mic and at an angle
