Hey an old guy doing young guy stuff on VWs! I'm waffling between plasti dip and vinyl on my 19 Tiguan. Did the rear badge today with dip, and I like the matte-ish finish, and how easy it was to do. The windows look easy. The roof rails, and grille have me spooked.

Hell, yeah! Old school here, too! First car in 80 was a 67 Chevelle. I rebuilt the 327 to 400hp, Muncie rock crusher, 4.11s and all that straight line stuff😅. Now, it's Vdub and retirement planning with a side of funeral thoughts 😂.

This is great. I'm not mechanical at all, plus I live in an apartment with a carport where it rains all the time. I don't have easy access to power. If I had to make it work with a butane torch, that's some source of heat right? Not recommended I'm sure, but it's what I've got. lol

Looks awesome, is it a must to use a heat gun ? Can it be done without?

I’d recommend using some heat to adhere especially corners or places you tuck in. A blow dryer will work if that’s all you have. But a Heat Gun doesn’t blow Air so your vinyl doesn’t blow around. Just get the tucks and corners and you should be fine 💯😎👍🏼

Thanks for watching. Yes the wheels are ESR 18x8.5 x30. Not too expensive. I think like $1200. Not including tires. Look the RF15 wheels by Esr on Fitment industries on line.

That’s VViViD light tint for headlights. It goes on like vinyl wrap. No water.

That’s just the turn signal glass. Plastic or whatever. I just layed hex tint down on it. Super easy. VViViD hex tint.

Ohhhh your talking about the chrome on the door. Yea just had to take my time. It kinda sucks but I did it. It’s far from perfect but it looks ok. Get your razor knife in there and cut away
