What does threading the sewing needle with the hook link through the shrink tubing do for the rig. I am new to wild water carp fishing. I greatly enjoy Mr. Warwick's rigs, tackle etc. My mentor here in the US, is always talking about things Mr. Warwick does. I have seen another video from a different company who does this, but did not understand what it does for the rig. Thank you.

Its called a line aligner, gives the rig a more aggressive turn and flip action when the fish takes the bait and blows it out

Only thing that baffled me, was.
Why did he use 2 pieces of shrink tube

first 1 was to trap the hair in place just before the hook starts to curve, the second is to make the hook turn more effective, also after rig is made you shrink the shrink tube over boiling kettle steam to make it neat and sit perfect
