As someone has already mentioned, I slide the plastic clip on the seat belt, all the way up. This holds the buckle above the area where it knocks about. I agree with the 7th gear thing. And my phone simply goes in to the centre arm rest
Told you that’s why 2.7 more fun? Seatbelt should just move to upper point. If still loose then you can get the sliding clip. Disagree with SP 7th lock out as that’s more track orientated. Surprised you’ve not mentioned the dreadful Helmholtz resonance when window down. The deflectors are a must have. Phone should go into centre cubby arm rest or magnet base attachment available to side of shift. Glad to hear you still love it, they are easily best choice for smile factor.
I pull my passenger seatbelt over the shoulder of the seat which prevents the knocking, or just plug it in. Also have a phone windscreen mount which is great, don’t buy cheap though as the phone will wobble like mad, needs to be stabilized.
my car did the passenger seat seatbelt thing but realised they had put a slot in where it goes inside the interior so it actually clips in so no more rattling and never comes out unless you have a passenger
if you are flat to the floor in third gear at the wrong road speed pdk will disguise your inability 😮. BTW the passenger seat belt buckle can be retained against the b pillar if you return to the top position, no rattle.
AHHHHHH I WANT TO DO THE EXACT SAME THING!!!!!! should I just get a Boxster S and take it to the top or stay with the cayman S? its a tough choice to make!
Point number one: pull your fingers out and lift up the buckle then it stops until a passenger sit then exits, repeat again! Point number two: buy a magnetic phone holder!!!! Point number three: then buy another car brand that gives you the gear ratios you desire, a pre purchase research reveals that this a well known criticism by those who know better than Porsche. Point number four: buy a manual if you don’t like robots / AI interfering with your driving, complaining about PDK is like looking for gold in a silver mine. PDK is excellent but there no substitute for a manual transmission for the ultimate Porsche driving experience. Kindly put your car up for sale in auto trader or let me know as members of the P car drivers club will gladly buy it off you to solve your problem, especially with the PSE. Thanks for the content!
Who on earth buys a sports car with automatic gearing??? Here in Europe 75% the used Caymans for sale is automatic gearing... When you drive hard and push it on roads with lot of turns automatic gearing can frankly be dangerous if it suddenly decides to change gear at the wrong time. Also I personally like to gear myself, it is part of the driving experience specially on a sports car.
@@JoshBatesYT we didn't buy a porsche to worry about wasting fuel. And in sport and sport+ you are supposed to be driving faster. 7th gear isn't really needed at that point. You can always buy a car with a 1.2L engine if you want to save fuel and go slow.
🤣🤣 I don’t care about wasting fuel when having fun. Sometimes I purposely take the longer route if it’s a more fun journey. But when driving behind cars on a dual carriageway there’s no fun to be had so I may aswell stick it in 7th. And then like in the video when the car pulls back in I want it back in sport + which is why I find it annoying
lol. overrated says that got driving a Honda Civic. What other car can you drive on the road, take it to the track, run 20 laps, without any brakes overheating or other issues and drive it home?
On mine at least, I just pull the buckle and the plastic thing that slides below it, to the top. It then doesn’t rattle. Or, plug it in. 👍
You beat me to it.
I do exactly this.
I’ve just found that little plastic thing in the belt!! Thank you for the help 👊🏼
Wtf

I test drove the 2.7 and 3.4 back to back and just felt the 2.7 was too slow for me. The 3.4 really shifts!! Both great though
When i drive my 981 S i dont use the stereo or the phone. Smile per mile and bang for the bucks
I do the same but sometimes I need to know where I’m going 🤣

Believe the kickdown switch is more safety, if you suddenly need maximum power for whatever reason you’ve got it at hand
Maybe 🤔
depends how much fun and love you get from it thats all that matters
Regarding the seat belt why don’t you just buckle it in as if someone’s in the seat and that will stop the rattling.
Paul 👍

The gearing is set up to give the car the fastest acceleration up to top speed.... Sadly that makes it a bit boring at legal speeds.

Kickdown / ‘button’ does that in many xats

LOL, why not just fasten the seat belt. problem solved
Fasten the seatbelt in the passenger seat?
I did do this a couple of times but every time someone gets in and out it's just a faff!
I’m looking forward to see what you do with the car. Cool cup holders
Just plug the seat belt in
the 5th thing i don't liek = the driver whiner.
Mate the video was about things I don’t like about the car not things I do like. Obviously im going to be complaining about stuff 🤣
Sell it to me mate
I never use 7th gear, period. If you want to use 7th gear get a civic
Sitting in 6th just seems wasteful

@@JoshBatesYT sport+ is supposed to be used on a racetrack not on public roads. you don't need the 7th gear on the track.
porsche overrated asf unfortunately
Not overrated. Perfectly good car just not something you see often
I used to think Porsches were overrated. And then I bought one and found out just how good they are 😍
