“Nice little mindless activity to do” *flash back to me having to pause videos and do it at night to number my months so I don’t get interrupted and make a mistake* 😢😅😂😂😂
It's really great to see that you've tried a bunch of stuff this year and found layouts that work better for you, I love when that happens Here's to us all becoming one step closer to planner peace next year
Jess! I just watched your video using a square journal for 2024. I think the algorithm gods sent me here to continue the square journal vibes. :) And I also commented on that thicc pen - it’s so satisfying to see all that ink flowing out into the pretty letters 🤩
i really enjoy expanded future logs, having that and only a super short list at the start of new months works better than both a future log and a full monthly for a lot of people
Paused when you got to your Instagram goals because I couldn't remember if I'd followed you over there or not. I love that this video is only like, 6 months old, and you were like '28k would be crazy!' Pop over to IG to make sure I'm following you... and you're at almost 38k. Grats! P.S. Your videos make me want to try the Distressed Oxide stuff so bad, and finding out there's an ERASER?! Has basically sealed the deal for me. Michaels, here I come 😂
I had also decided to replace my future logs with monthly spreads all together at the start this year and then have my weekly spreads later after all my trackers and collection pages, I think will work better for me too… I’m glad you did it!
Back to the Square Archer and Olive! Whoop Whoop! Is it weird that whenever I see one, I think of you lol? The stencils and stamps truly make setting up a bullet journal a breeze. Great set up. Cant wait to hear what works for you and what doesnt in the new year!
Love your setup! And when I saw that create a sticker… 🤯 GENIUS!! I like the future log having a traditional calendar and Monday start too. It’s a beautiful thing when you create your own BuJo to have exactly what you need in the right notebook with the right intentions and fountain pens. Great foundations. 🤩🤩🤩 Thanks for sharing 😊 this is amazing!
I enjoyed watching your setup! The brush with the distress oxide came out so well with that stencil! I use a discbound system and print most of my layouts but there is no rule against changing it up and doing that sometimes… I’m intrigued! That orange pen put down so much ink and it was stunning 🤩
Turned out great! That ink is beautiful and I like the new future log. That is another area of my bujo that needs an overhaul for the 2024 new journal, which will be a square again. I really love that size. tbh I don't want to take the time to reconfigure my layouts for a different size, I'm in my groove.
Ok I was thinking to do the whole calendar in the front of my journal for next year as well, but was planning to use B5 which would probably put each month across two pages. Buuuut now I see what you did here in a square… 🤔🤔🤔🙈
I use my future log for different things but I’ve thought of putting all 12 months at beginning as well. This was great to watch and….. now I’m thinking!!🤔😊
I do love square notebooks. I wish more stationery companies would provide more. Archer & Olive's square journals are only ever limited availability and I seem to always miss the damn dates lol.
They are becoming more popular. There are some availale now for black friday - just search by size and you will find a bunch. and extra money off with code MARKYOURPAGES. Save that money.
When I saw you start writing with your left I knew this video was gonna be exactly what I was looking for in inspiration. And I'm a righty. 😜 Anyway, I immediately went to check out your page and I was right (no pun intended) so I hit that subscribe button. Can't wait to check out your creativity and insight in your other videos. Who would've thought... Square is where it's at? 😊
Hi Mark . Greetings from Virginia. Which stationary places can you recommend me to visit in order to buy some goodies for Journal ? I am just a beginner in this field, although I don't know how to start or what to write about. However, that is the reason I am watching videos on UA-cam.
Hi there. As a beginner, any journal can work. It depends on what you want to accomplish. What are you looking for in a journal? How do you think you’d use it?
So excited to have found your channel today! Everything looks great and I love the way you explain and edit everything. I’m excited to check out a lot of things you’ve mentioned here, but I can already say that the B3 calligraphy nib looks like a great alternative for the brush pens which, as a leftie, I can’t seem to use in an aesthetically pleasing manner. 😂
Welcome to the crew! Glad we found each other as well. The nib is definitely a great buy, but it does take a minute to get used to. You can even see how its looked in my first page vs later on. But it's the most fun.
Mark it is so good!!!! (as usual but this one is amazing). I think I may do kinda like this in my b5 and just use my a6 or a5 as an everyday carry. I can transfer any important data to this. How many pages do you have left in the back? This could almost be a 3 year journal. I love the use of the stencils. I always forget I have them!
Go for it! It's always worth a try. Right now i will have about 148 pages left in this journal with all the pages. This is an older journal, so future squares I think would have 192 pages... but I am not sure.
Hello from Denmark - new subskriber here 😊 First of all, thank you for choosing a bigger notebook than the a5 everyone uses (its too small, when do ppl get it??)😅 anyways, question: 0:11 Have you made any videoes on how you organized your supplies? I love these containers ❤
I have some pen nibs like this and I cannot get them to hold ink. I have tons of experience with other nibs but the doubled up ones/ broad tips hate me. Is there a trick to it or a short video you'd be willing to make?
Oh interesting... hmmm, I don't know about why it's not holding ink. I would say make sure that it's clean and that you are getting enough ink on the nib. Sometimes mine will be streaky. Also, holding the nib at the right angle makes a big difference. These B sized nibs need to lay totally flat to get the right stroke.
Those monthly stamps though! Does anyone know where to get them? The ones that I have are all so small. I would LOVE to get them. Mark - I truly enjoy ALL of your videos.
Great video Mark, I love the theme and layout of your square bujo. I debated long and hard and have decided to go for a B5 this year as I'd like the extra space. But it's not from A&O it's from a little UK based company called The Ink Pot, they have beautiful journals that are on par with A&O and you can have your choice of 1 of 30+ designs stamped on the cover making them truly personal. I wanted to ask you for a little help, if you don't mind. I have a TWSBI Eco fountain pen a Kaweco Sport one, and I know my husband has bought me a Retro 51 one for my birthday in a couple weeks, what do you think of the Ferris Wheel Press fountain pens, and can you use their ink in a regular fountain pen or is it just for dip pens? (Have to admit dip pens scare me, I have a slight tremor and worry about ink splattering everywhere) Many thanks Julianne
Hey there. Thanks for watching. The journals sounds so cool! I need to take a trip to the UK just for the stationery. You can totally use the FWP inks in a regular pen. I was so nervous at first too but after going for it, I’ve been so happy. I find that. Medium or broad nib is nice especially for shimmer inks. Fine works well too, but you don’t get all that beautiful shimmer all the time. I hear you on the dip pens - and there are some nice ones that could still work with your tremor - like a kakimori dip pen cause it’s not your regular fancy nib. It’s thick and thin and just so much fun.
Watching a man journaling is so refreshing & unique ❤
I am happy to be that person for you. :-)
I just thought the same thing!
“Nice little mindless activity to do” *flash back to me having to pause videos and do it at night to number my months so I don’t get interrupted and make a mistake* 😢😅😂😂😂
Hahaha. Whatever it takes. I actually did the rest of mine while my daughter was doing her math homework
It's really great to see that you've tried a bunch of stuff this year and found layouts that work better for you, I love when that happens
Here's to us all becoming one step closer to planner peace next year
I feel like I’m reaching bullet journal maturity haha 🍻
Love that thicc nibbed pen; the January header in particular looks so great with it 💪💜
Thank you. Yeah the print looks nice with this nib and it’s easier to control
Jess! I just watched your video using a square journal for 2024. I think the algorithm gods sent me here to continue the square journal vibes. :) And I also commented on that thicc pen - it’s so satisfying to see all that ink flowing out into the pretty letters 🤩
Oooooh a square one! That's cool! 😍
I love the square sizes.
love how knowledgable you are about the different trying media like inks in your bujo!! very interesting to watch and i learned a ton!
That makes me so happy to hear. I love stationery, so anything I can share, I try to.
Not even done with the video yet and that create a sticker thing just BLEW my mind 🤯
The funny thing is I’ve had that for years and only just found good ways to use it.
The washi tape hack for the stencil is a good tip!
And you get to use any washi tape you don’t love. Makes it useful :-)
i really enjoy expanded future logs, having that and only a super short list at the start of new months works better than both a future log and a full monthly for a lot of people
I like the name of this. Expanded future log. I am really excited to try this.
The distress oxide demo makes my heart so happy! I can't wait to use mine in my bujo this year.
It’s been a lot of fun to learn how to use it more.
Paused when you got to your Instagram goals because I couldn't remember if I'd followed you over there or not. I love that this video is only like, 6 months old, and you were like '28k would be crazy!' Pop over to IG to make sure I'm following you... and you're at almost 38k. Grats!

The titles on your pages are 👩🍳 😘
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great vid as always
Thank you 😋 I’m not toally happy with the intentions lettering, but I did better on the rest. I love the monoline.
I loved them! Your writing looks amazing!
Thank you
I had also decided to replace my future logs with monthly spreads all together at the start this year and then have my weekly spreads later after all my trackers and collection pages, I think will work better for me too… I’m glad you did it!
I love that others have thought of this too. It's all about making what we need it to be.
I’ve adopted the same method and it makes my brain so happy!
Back to the Square Archer and Olive! Whoop Whoop! Is it weird that whenever I see one, I think of you lol?
The stencils and stamps truly make setting up a bullet journal a breeze. Great set up. Cant wait to hear what works for you and what doesnt in the new year!
I’d like to think I was a first… but I think it’s just cause I get so hyped about them.
Love your setup! And when I saw that create a sticker… 🤯 GENIUS!! I like the future log having a traditional calendar and Monday start too. It’s a beautiful thing when you create your own BuJo to have exactly what you need in the right notebook with the right intentions and fountain pens. Thanks so much!! I am really excited about the new layout.
I like the new planner ideas, like the monthly layouts, etc. Thanks for the new stuff, Mark! Good job
Thanks so much for checking it out

Thanks for checking it out.
the calendars right up front is one of my favorite features of my bujo :)
It's such a game changer
Beautiful work. It’s interesting to see a square journal. I really like the idea of the calendar in the front.
Thanks for watching. Square is so fun. Makes you think a little differently.
Thanks for sharing your ideas. I’m with you. The new year is exciting.
Can’t wait! Thanks for watching.
You’re a lefty too!!! I love it!!!
Oh yeah!
So many little tips and tricks in this video that I'd not seen before. Thanks! :)
So happy you found it helpful :-)
This is really functional 😍😍 the alternative for the year log is quite interesting!
Thanks. I’m really excited to get started

Ride that square wave 🌊
Ok I was thinking to do the whole calendar in the front of my journal for next year as well, but was planning to use B5 which would probably put each month across two pages. Buuuut now I see what you did here in a square… 🤔🤔🤔🙈
The square made all the different. I tried the layout in every size. This just worked and I was so happy.
Love that stencil trick with the distress ink! Great setup!
Thank you. Using stencils like that has been so fun. And fast!
I use my future log for different things but I’ve thought of putting all 12 months at beginning as well. This was great to watch and….. now I’m thinking!!🤔😊
Awesome! Thank you! I love when I can get others thinking about their approaches too.
Ooh love this, I've got so many ideas for my 2024 journal pages 😊

Square is where it's at! And thanks for the support. I appreciate it
Amazing. Thank you
Glad you liked it!
Great video Mark. Lots of great tips!
Thanks so much for checking it out.
I’m so curious about the capacity tracker. Do you have a video that explains how you use it?
Replying because this was the same question I had, so I can see if Mark answers you!
I haven’t done one, but it looks like a few people are interested. So I can certain share more on it.
Added to the ideas list.
Yay! Thank you, cause that was going to be my comment as well 😂

@@markyourpages well I’ve ordered it now, thanks to your link! I’ll be sure to practice on something less valuable than my new 2024 journal :)
Great channel name!
Thanks so much :-)
This looks great, I would have thought you purchased this journal as is! I’m loving the square journal too. May have to check that one out :)
Oh wow, thank you. I love making my own pages in my journal A nice custom feel. Square journals are a lot of fun. I really enjoy the size.
Just bought myself a very inexpensive (I’m talking Temu!) square journal to try before I put more $ into one. I am really liking it!!
Mark it is so good!!!! (as usual but this one is amazing). I think I may do kinda like this in my b5 and just use my a6 or a5 as an everyday carry. I can transfer any important data to this. How many pages do you have left in the back? This could almost be a 3 year journal.

Thank you so much for watching. I really wish I remembered where I got them from. Probably from a Joann fabrics or other craft store.
I believe they are from Kelly Creates.
Can you let us know more about the nibs you use?
Sure. I can share a bit more about the in a future video. I have one planned about fountain pens. I can include them in there.
@@markyourpages thanks! You made my day. I just discovered the wonders of fountain pens about eight months ago. Still very nervous to the FP scene.

Bonjour quel est la taille du carnet cat il a l'air plus grand que les A5 que je vois partout ?
Bonjour. Ce carnet est un journal carré. Il mesure donc 8 pouces sur 8 pouces.
I was too late to buy that square bullet journal and now it is sold out!😭😭
Oh no! There should be plenty more though. But this one is special :-) 🌞
