    Offered this to my daughter as well. She had surgery on her ovaries every year since 8th grade, des stated she may have problems even getting pregnant. After she married I told her I would be happy to carry a child for you. She had first baby almost 5 yrs after marriage and 2nd baby 5 yrs later on her own. Motherhood is the most awesome thing, and to share that with a family member .

      That’s the sweetest thing ever. Thank you for what you’re willing to do for your daughter. I’ve been in your daughter’s shoes. I’ve been pregnant twice but both babies were lost in still birth. We started when cars was in theaters. We’ve tried adoption but the moms decided to parent.

      Kinda surprised, not surprised, that absolutely nothing was mentioned, or even seems to be considered, on how that bacteria got introduced into her dilated cervix in a hospital birth setting with constant demanded “cervical checks” via hospital staff.

      @healthyhomefairy Місяць тому +7

      @@justawaitress8421 When a woman gives birth she almost always poops - there's just so much pressure in that region, pushing etc. Fecal matter most likely contains this bacteria, it sounds like she was saying it is a probiotic in the gut (but not elsewhere). My guess is that it was introduced that way, possibly due to tearing (3rd and 4th degree tears go into the rectum) - in this circumstance the bacterium could easily transfer through fluids in the tear wound and up to the cervix.

      @@justawaitress8421 It is a normal part of the GI and vaginal flora in a small percentage of healthy people. The infection from that specific pathogen, which also has to be a virulent toxin-producing strain, can occur. So it sounds like it is not a common infection that typically occurs postpartum. It’s linked to childbirth, abortion, and gynaecological procedures.
      It’s a rapidly fatal toxic shock syndrome. Overall mortality is around 70% but it reaches 100% once shock has set in.

    Oh and I just want to say, or actually ask, WHAT on Earth is wrong with some people?
    Some of the comments on here are absolutely disgusting. This lady almost died. Her husband almost lost his wife. Their baby boy almost lost his Mummy. Her parents almost lost their daughter and it goes on. So to those people being nasty and/or negative, you probably should have another think about what you’ve said because after everything is said and done, this beautiful young lady, wife, Mumma, daughter, sister, friend etc, has fought for her life and WON❣️ She actually lives, thank goodness, and another beautiful human being is coming into this world because she is alive. So PLEASE be kind and thoughtful. If nothing else, remember, if you don’t have anything nice to say, say nothing at all.

      @lienbijs1205 Its emotion, their voices change the more emotional they are, thus the common phrase ‘she/he got choked up’. They are discussing an incredibly traumatic time in their lives! I pray that they have been receiving counselling as it would be totally understandable if they both had ptsd and I would imagine that the Mama is at risk of Post partum depression. I can see the sadness even as she says that she is so grateful that her baby gets to hear her Mums voice - there is deep sadness that this is necessary and that she is missing out on the bond and connection with her baby girl in the womb.

  • @egancheez

    If the mother of this woman is doing gestational surrogacy, then they are doing IVF (in vitro fertilization), where the daughter donates her eggs and the son-in-law donates his sperm, which makes sense. Because if they did traditional surrogacy, which it most likely isn't because doctors said the woman's ovaries are still healthy, the grandmother would be the baby's biological mother, which would be so weird (the grandmother would be her granddaughter's "mother," and the baby would be her "mom's" sister. Essentially whack stuff if it was traditional surrogacy).
    Also weird that this news station doesn't mention IVF, as if that is a forbidden thing to say because of the news station's demographic. There is nothing wrong with IVF, people. Good grief.

    • @mariabunch3541
      @mariabunch3541 Місяць тому

      Mormons don’t have any problem with IVF. Your assumption is off base.

    • @yashathebelgianmalinois348
      @yashathebelgianmalinois348 19 днів тому

      We know how surrogacy works. That wasn't the focus of the story, so no conspiracy.

    • @mcpeewee68
      @mcpeewee68 19 днів тому

      Who are you talking to?
      It's made clear that her ovaries are intact & therefore she can have more babies of her own.
      Her mom simply offered to carry the baby for them

    • @egancheez
      @egancheez 19 днів тому

      @@mcpeewee68 Are you dense? This woman had a hysterectomy, which means her uterus was removed. It is possible, though rare, to get pregnant after a hysterectomy if you have a cervix. But it is NOT possible to carry the pregnancy because there is no uterus to house the baby.
      Her ovaries weren't infected, so she can still produce eggs. But that doesn't mean she can still carry the pregnancy. So she needs to do surrogacy in order to actually have children.
      And I wasn't going to answer your "Who are you talking to" question, as if the answer wasn't obvious enough that it was directed toward a good chunk of people who don't believe in IVF. But in educating you with the facts, I guess I am also talking to clueless people like yourself.

    I'm sorry, but I do not think this is praiseworthy at all. I think it is a gross violation of her own marriage and the marriage of her daughter and son-in-law. She is carrying the child of another man in her womb and so giving the appearance of impropriety, which a woman pregnant with a baby that is not her husband does make it seem like she engaged in behavior which is contrary to the Word of God.

      in the Bible when Naomi’s sons both die and Ruth the daughter in law married Boaz and had a baby she gave the child to Naomi as her own son. This way is fine but I’m not sure about the medical intervention side of things tho if ur gona say it’s playing God then any medical intervention is also.
