Puerto Plata is a popular tourist destination in Northern Dominican Republic. You can get a taste of the Dominican Culture and enjoy stunning beaches nearby. I like to call the beaches in the Dominican Republic 'friendly' beaches because they are very welcoming for swimmers and snorkelers. And the windy areas offer great kite-surfing opportunities.
There are many places to see in the Dominican Republic and there are tour companies that take you there offering food, clean transportation, friendly guide and bus driver, taking off the stress of having to drive.
The places visited in this video however, are all reachable on foot or by a short taxi drive.
