Lets be honest, I doubt many are watching this because they are going to buy it, we are all just curious to see the size of the thing lol
I’m going to buy it. I saw this video and was immediately sold
I would buy it
But I don’t have a model railroad... yet
I’m buying a couple to go with my Aristocrat SD45’s, my USA SD40-2’s and SD70’s models!!!
They are out of stock everywhere ;(
@@nexxxus7498 let me know if you find one. Already out of stock everywhere I look
Chief Brody sees that G-scale loco and while backpedaling nervously tells Quint, "You're gonna need a bigger track!"
Ya gonna need a bigger wallet.....too....lol🤪
"WHAT!?!? I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" The fact that you have to yell over the sounds compared to your HO & N scale reviews are testament to how crazy that sound system is!
About time we get some new g scale locomotives I hope g scale gets more newer trains
MTH has really improved in quality and offers a very detailed example...I like the sound module that is included.
Nice to hear you are getting into G scale
Welcome to the “club” as I run the same gages......and I’m broke!!!!! Lol
Nice to know I'm not the only HO train nut to buy one of these. I was beginning to question my sanity! Great review!
Love the sd70, good loco smooth to ride on just like that model 😀 gotta get me one of those! Great review
Another train review before my shift thank you sir
G scale what a nice scale to have as a outdoor decoration on the homestead
Wow that is huge
Ello
Hi crafty
hi
Lol hi Crafty
I had MTH in O scale and loved their products!!!
Thank you that was a great presentation.
I remember when he only reviewed stuff he actually liked and used. Now it’s all over the map. Different scales. Different roads. Just random
Who ever pays or sends him stuff. That's how youtube works. He'll try to deny it though.
Sorry is there an issue with this?
He reviews anything a manufacturer sends him, if you watch a few of his videos he will tell you that a certain model was sent to him literally just to review it and send it back.
James makes money doing this, I’m sure manufacturers pay him well for his time.
He has this G scale ACe because he wanted it, if you follow him on social media he was very excited about getting it and getting into G scale
That's actually a great looking loco. I have always liked that style on loco from U.P.
Wow that is impressive.🤩👍Nice detail.
Massive amounts of the remarkable train detail so Very Amazing Information yes moving Cool I hear all the sounds SD70 x over the best truly is Very rare
Wow what a beast!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!
I love this review
Great looking locomotive
Looks completely awesome. I hope the sound is better in person, because it doesn’t sound very good on my phone.
Wow! That thing is impressive!
Very cool! Thanks for the review
Man thats nice! I really would like to start a G-scale in my back yard
Awesome review
"Where does he get these wonderful toys?".
Edit: Bearing caps did not appear to rotate.
they do not. sad really that they cbf with such a large scale when you can get it n ho and n now
wow!! that's crazy huge!!!
that cool I want to start collecting modal train any day now I find that hobby interesting! 😁
Wish they made that in 1:29th scale. With weights and Aristo motor blocks that would be a great puller with body mounted couplers. . thanks for sharing the engine. Beautiful engine.
So what scale is this in?
Awesome 👍thanks for posting
Wholly Shoot, that is BIG AND LOUD AS HECK!!!
I wish I could have a locomotive like that on my g scale garden RR, but it's watching to long. But still cool engine, nice review :D
Great video thanks 🙏
I dream of owning a G gauge diesel. I just have a LGB 0 4 0 but I am collecting Ore Jennies which look nice with that as my best attempt to afford making my G gauge layout be a counterpart to the O gauge freight and diesel we take for granted.
If you get some Marklin 1 gauge track it would look even better (Far more prototypical for that locomotive). Nice review bro!
This video was a great G spot.
Saw 9096 leading a stacker In Dixon Illinois back in July
Dam, that things freaking big
This Sound is soooo coool
Good strong runner
Wow that is an amazing locomotive! Just absolutely stunning. Too bad the bell on the decoder is an E-Bell because the actual one on the engine is a steel.
Keep it up 👍🏻
It isn’t, 9096 has an E-Bell
@@zwmrailfan Ya I know it has an E-Bell on the decoder, I was talking about the physical detailed bell on the unit, it’s a steel bell that is detailed on the underside.
i got the Lionel union Pacific SD70ACe 9088 and its pretty big but i can only imagine how big that one is!
Now that is sweeeeet!
G scale is literally the best scale out there!! in my opinion of course I was gonna start building a g scale layout outside but I guess it’s to late...
I love g scale as well but it can be difficult
1:32 is actually the correct scale for the gauge of track. g scale or 1:22.5 is oversized for the gauge and hence why the axles on g-scale stock seems very narrow compared to the body.
Thanks for sharing. I pre-ordered one and hopefully will have it this month. I'm new to G Scale. What controller do you use?
Great video of too much size for the bench! Good model. Will MTH models like this survive the buyout?
Actually, 1:22.5 is Nerrow gauge in G like most Bachmann. Most G is 1:29 i.e. Aristocraft, USA trains, some LGB. 1:32 is gauge 1 which is true to G scale for standard gauge i.e. MTH, Accucraft, Aster, Samhongsa.. all of which share G scale track but different size profiles. In other words, your LGB or USA passenger car will look funny and massive pulled behind these MTH engines.
Just to piggyback on Utah UPman's comment, G gauge track is 45mm wide. There are several scales that use this gauge of track, and 1:32 scale represents the prototype standard gauge of 4' 8.5" (56.5"). Consequently, 1:29 scale models should actually be running on 49.5mm gauge track to be in line with the prototype.
agsin hoping mth rail ,king lives on in come form if mike wolf can sell it to someone. Great video. You need a garden rr sith your new home In the future.. 👍
This is beyond awesome!! I have a collection of USA trains G scale locomotives including a CSX sd70mac how do the MTH gauge one trains compare in size to 1:29? I’m guessing the MTH are smaller because the USA trains locomotives are massive I think my 70 is 30” long. This engine doesn’t appear as big but I could be wrong. Love your videos James and I’m jealous of your collection lol
Can I buy one off you?
This is Gauge 1 (1/32) scale as distinct from G scale (1/29) running on 45mm gauge track....
I wish they made F scale SD70ACes
wow thats a nice lookig box
Very nice 👌 👍 👏 😀
Buon giorno complimenti per il video, questo modello è compatibile con il sistema europeo LGB. Grazie.
I need a G-scale tracks and gonna get one of those with freight cars
That is awsome
🤩! Wow
The only thing that makes me wish I had money , is models like this . I would have a building just for trains like this
This makes me want to go to G scale lol
Man I love the G scale size I’m going G scale🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂
wow cool
I remember the LGB set you had
That sure is purdy
When are you going to have a layout James
So, one slight correction... MTH's Railking 1 series is "true" 1-scale, not G-scale. This won't actually affect much since they're very similar in size and run on the same gauge, but as this is a 1:32 scale model it will be slightly smaller proportionately compared to a similar model from one of the G-scale manufacturers like USA Trains, Bachmann, PIKO or LGB and will be more in-proportion with the standard-gauge offerings from Accucraft or something from Marklin's 1-gauge line.
For those that care, 1-scale is the more accurate scale for modeling standard-gauge equipment on 45mm gauge track, whereas 1:29 "G-Standard" scale looks better running alongside narrow-gauge (1:22.5 and 1:20.3) G-scale models, as well as on the far more common Code 332 track produced by major G-scale manufacturers.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍i love SD70
Are you planning to review the Rapido Horizons?
yes G normally is 1/22.5 which is EU narrow gauge it some times is done 1/24 which give EU / US Standard gauge. gauge 1 is 1/32 and wile it will run on G track the rail height and thickness will look over sized
I actually have this train and the same number but it’s a Walter’s and HO scale and it has sound
unboxing a G scale is a workout
7:24 if it was a real AH it should have a coolant level view window in front of the radiator intake by the lift lugs and dual sand fills on the back plus a bunch of other little details by the dynamic fan access panels were smaller
Nice Diesel Train!
MTH One Gauge (G Scale) I wish I could find some to buy but I cant find any anywhere. I really wanted the George bush 4141 or a UP. Anything I see doesn't come out till like late December.
I bought the George Bush 4141 and when I picked up the Bigboy the UPS store they brought it out to me using a flatbed cart
Like it.
Hey James great video but I have a question: what locomotive out of these do you like best: sd70ace, SD70ACu, sd70ah, sd70acs or sd70ace-bb
Forgot about the M-2 and the ACC
And the SD70IAC
The ACe-BB takes the cake for me. I really wish those ran over here in the US but oh well.
@@pokeyrailfanning thank you for that that's the two I was looking for
@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 them two :)
What dcc controller are you using for your g scale locomotive
Time to get a usa trains big boy
Nice Engine James ...You didn`t put it on the turn table (:
Get all the MTH stuff you can while you can. MTH as I hear it is going the way of the Do-Do bird.
not sure what you mean by undersized, 1:22 is narrow gauge. if you are on standard G gauge track with a track width of 1.75 in then you are almost exact to scale for 1:32 of a standard 56.5" width train rails.
How do you get the different sounds to play if it’s a DC locomotive?? I just ran a G scale today for the very first time and it has some “‘bells and whistles “ and we’re just using the conventional g scale power pack????
$700 !!!! OM Goodness
When I first got the notification on my phone, I thought it was an Ericstrains review!
As I said in one of my other comments to you....HO....O....and now G (1) scale.....just sign your paycheck over to Bianco.......🤪
how long did it take for it to come after you ordered it
Do they come with snowplows..?
Good Job ,I love it,Can you tell about the $ ?
Hello, can you tell me what power supply and what DCC controls are you running this engine, I know your not usIng DCS commands for this engine.also you have done one on Bachman C-19 engine and that one are you using your DCC power , please put a respond back. Thanks phil
7:55 sounds like flushing a toilet in an airplane. Hmm... I am thinking... this review of MTH comes right AFTER Scale Trains acquired it. Oh well!!
Any idea what brand of decoder is used? Hopefully ESU.
Did I hear you say that you are switching over to NCE.....I thought you are an ESU guy???
Do you have the 4141 to match it?
Sad MTH is no more...🥲
Jebus crust that thing is huge
My God imagine a g scale big boy
some one makes it i have seen it and its MASSIVE
Wowwwwwww
