"The Sanskrit word ā́rya (आर्य) was originally an ethnocultural term designating those who spoke Vedic Sanskrit and adhered to Vedic cultural norms (including religious rituals and poetry), in contrast to an outsider, or an-ā́rya ('non-Arya').By the time of the Buddha (5th-4th century BCE), it took the meaning of 'noble'. In Old Iranian languages, the Avestan term airya (Old Persian ariya) was likewise used as an ethnocultural self-designation by ancient Iranian peoples, in contrast to an an-airya ('non-Arya'). It designated those who belonged to the 'Aryan' (Iranian) ethnic stock, spoke the language and followed the religion of the 'Aryas'." With due respect to this gentleman, I simply fail to understand how he connects that with a 'Dravidian' term? The word 'Dravid' is also Sanskrit....

Beautiful and amazing interview! India needs more people like him to help highlight that is it is the amalgamation of different traditions and cultures that has made Indian civilization vast and comprehensive in both spiritual and cultural matters! Wishing or pushing a single idea or a view or a tradition on everyone is really the end of any adaptive civilization that can withstand the test of time! You just have to look at the past for so many examples of this! The comment about upliftment for women is so touching and is so needed badly for our country at this time. The so called "tribals" throughout history have had more respect for motherhood , women goddess and women rights than the so called the "non-tribals" of our country. I am still optimistic that we are headed in the right direction. Jai Hind!

A linguist only relies on other areas of evidences offered by experts of those respective fields to work around a theory of migration. They can not validate or falsify the theories from those other fields. AMT is old Indian academia consensus. Wish they left their protectionist attitudes to engage with new evidences and theories.
On medieval period, the same experts so callously dismiss Islamic atrocities across such vast geography of India and across such a long timeline saying it was just a form of "civilizational collaboration". Nobody is asking any blames to be put on present day Muslims, just asking them not to lay claims on our shrines, to acknowledge the tyranny of those invaders who brutalised our society and faith, instead what we see is gaslighting of Hindus like above and blatant dishonest negationism of history.

Here we have laws to prosecute people of higher calss3s but what about name calling like brhamnical patriarchy etc .thwy need to be punished as well.
Onlya balanced approach can eradicate issues .
