Seniority plays a massive role in LTL. Don't expect to come off the street and getting a 100k run off jump. Do your research, see which of the LTL heavy hitters in your area (saia, estes, OD, R+L etc.) Has the most available home daily runs. Usually, the larger the terminal, the more opportunities it has.
All of those companies are here in Chicago and all of them paying 100k starting.

Don’t let folks fool you. In today’s market & times guys that are bosses are getting company driving jobs to survive.

Get all endorsements. Also, get any "manual restrictions" removed. Lots of local companies out here but they gonna have cheaper equipment, older equipment. You want a CDL thats open to the most driving possibilities.

Not many are going to last doing it.

Well if you are willing to unload a full trailer of food you can make 100k a year. Dominos and McClain right now are 100k. But it’s work. Get your endorsements lol.
Yes I forgot about food service jobs. But I kind of left those off for a reason because most OTR drivers are not going to do it.
@@TruckingwithLoshawnParks very true. I’m OTR now. I used to do service jobs. I loved it. But I wanted to take a shot at being a lease operator. It’s cool but I miss food service. lol. It can strain you tho.
