Taylor Guitars Limited Edition 814ce with Blackhearted Sassafras | Full Review and Comparison

- Опубліковано 25 сер 2024
- Taylor Guitars has released new 814ce Limited Edition with Exotic Tasmanian Blackhearted Sassafras. Sassafras has a unique sonic profile with the focused clarity of maple, the midrange warmth of mahogany, and the top-end sparkle of rosewood. Its chameleon like nature means it’s very responsive to a players style, allowing each individual to elicit a unique sound from the guitar. The pairing with the Spruce top and V-class bracing provides a wonderful response and volume from the guitar that enables musical dynamics with bell like sustain. By comparing it with the normal 814ce, the nuances of the sassafras become apparent. Limited in number due to the scarcity of this unique tone wood, these limited edition guitars won't be available for long.

I am watching this in Tasmania :)
We use sassafras a lot for woodworking and instrument making.
Always a treat hearing you demo guitars. Very pretty and nice sounding Taylor. :-)
Visiting San Antonio next month. Can’t wait to visit the store!
Watching from tasmania haha I have them trees growing growing down the creek from my home.
That is the most beautiful acoustic guitar I've ever seen
Right!?
That's a beautiful ebony fretboard....it matches the sassafras well.
Drop dead gorgeous!
Just bought on of these - absolutely stunning looking & sounding guitar. I didn't know the wood was Tasmanian. I have another Taylor the 324CE that is made from blackwood which is also Tasmanian. The 324 is a lot deeper duskier perhaps muddier sound. The 814 is a very pleasant mid tone with crisp hints. Completely different guitars. I'd say I prefer the sound of the 324 but the 814 plays probably better than anything I have ever picked up.
Great looking guitar and you make it sound even better. Sassafras is a special tonewood. My five year old 714ce fltd is equally special and I am trying to get it up against the V class version to see how they can possibly have improved the sound (except for the V class). I love my Ltd and it is the pride of my collection.
I really love taylor guitars! And its a trear hearing you play with it
wow.i totally save money for my first taylor guitar this coming 2020 sir.
ur underrated.thanks a lot.love and support un channel from philippines.
Beautiful however I’m still lusting over that koa builder edition
I don't lose any sleep by NOT having a Taylor!!
I picked one of these up, played it for 1 minute, and that was the dumbest thing I could have ever done. I instantly fell in love with it but unfortunately I couldn't afford the $4,999. price tag. Unbelievable guitar.
Wow! That is slick.
its a masterpiece
Also watching from tas. Such an ornate timber.. guy whose aircraft I fly had 2 custom tray tables made from b’heart sassafras, cost about 5k. They look incredible, wonder what it’s like as tonewood tho
Compared to other Taylor’s I have owned and heard... sound came across slightly more muddy and with a bit less sustain. Still a gorgeous guitar I would be proud to own.
P.s our exchange rate sucks these guitars down her are retailing at around the 8-$10 000 range
Can you make a video on the 814ce LTD with Sinker Redwood? 🙏🏼
Man, I wish Santa would drop that off at my house!
How would you compare this guitar to the 614ce with the V class bracing?
Those two guitars are actually super similar. They both are Grand Auditorium, have Expression System 2 electronics, Venetian Cutaway and V-Class Bracing. I would recommend comparing the two of these on Taylor's sight and seeing if you can hear a big difference. (:

Sounds great Chris. How would this compare with Taylor's E14ce or the Sinker Redwood models? I've looked at those other videos, and they are getting to sound very similar. Well, not the Sinker Redwood. At any rate, it is not my (paid for) Taylor 812 12 fret V class DLX, which is also a super fine guitar.
Hi, Chris! Just curious: what tuning are you playing amazing grace in? Is it in DADGAD? I always like the stuff you choose to play, so I try to learn all of it by watching and listening. Thanks!
Oh yeah, nice guitar, too...🤘
It is just drop-D. Thanks for the kind words. - Chris
Thanks for the reply, Chris! I appreciate it. I'm gonna watch it a few more times to get the chords down lol ✌️
Hi Chris Just wondering if you ever think about sustainable tonewoods? Do you think Tasmanian BH Sassafras is sustainable?
Gordon Bradbury Yes, it is
Good job keeping a straight face saying sassafras so many times.
How much $$$?
click on the link .....approx 4k
band thank you, better than I thought it would be.
Do you also ship to Germany?
There is one question on my mind... Does this guitar smell like rootbeer? Sassafras tea? Asking for a friend..
Mason Metts thank you I was thinking rootbeer
Hi i have tried to contact you. But not able to get through. I just want to get a little bit of history on martin coletti acoustic guitar, American model number 406. If you have email please advise. Thank you Alan jones
Hey man, you okay?
You sounded a little sick in the video.
Nice guitar btw.
A little under the weather. I'm all good. Thanks - Chris
Sweet!
Please please please demonetize the videos on UA-cam, I love the channel, but is so annoying to have to watch 5 ads on long videos, such as this one
Shame so much sassafras is illegally logged for mdma/mda production
Wow! Cheesy! You're trying to sell us a guitar then you insert other ads back to back in the middle.
