Ig my thing with TotK is I'm so seldom rewarded for going off the beaten path compared to BotW. On the plateau, my only limitation was the borders of said plateau and there was only the king I was suggested to go to after leaving the cavern. I could go anywhere and find all sorts of items and materials. In TotK, I'm only allowed certain sky islands within the great sky island at a time and there's nothing under the rocks, little materials to find, off the beaten path, and no weapons off the beaten path. This is the same across the game. In BotW, I was told by Hestu to follow the river north to find him again, so I did. And all along the river I found all sorts of chests containing different materials and items. In TotK, there is nothing in the rivers, or the lakes, very very rarely any rubble to break to find any chests. The secrets are all relegated to being confined within caves. TotK has more content, for sure. But BotW, I find, is the better game overall. Because quantity is not better than quality.
Breath of the Wild>Tears of the Kingdom, here’s why. I feel that TotK was a lot more complete than BotW, in aspects like combat, variety of enemies, more places to explore, etc. I’m most cases, TotK would be considered the better game, which I agree with, but like you said in the video, the BotW experience was too good. I’ve also seen a few comments talking about how BotW would reward you for going off of the path unlike TotK which I totally agree with. Another problem I have with calling TotK the outright better game is that most of the game is piggy-backed off of what BotW built. While I lived the TotK story, it never felt like there was a clear path going on. It kind of felt like god of war Ragnarok in that sense. Also according to how OoT’s time travel worked the dragon thing shouldn’t have been possible. BotW came first so it just doesn’t feel right putting a basically more polished version of that game above it.
I’m playing tears of a kingdom for the first time and I’m literally forcing myself to play it, I don’t really want to play this game. I really liked breath of the wild but not enough to play it a second time basically.
With my job I'm pretty much just on call for 8 hours a day. So between jobs I would play TotK. But BotW is absolutely amazing can't pick one over the other.

Couldn’t agree more!
Literally had an identical experience with botw

A lot of good points. The experience was too damn good in BotW, but both are great games at the end of the day
I wish they put in some sort of zonai gaurdian type thing so that i could still fight gaurdians. They were some of my favorite things to fight in botw
Its just a matter of time until someone mods them in
Yet they disappeared without a trace in a bad story line.
@@20stacks11 yeah there's a ton of issues that didn't get solved at all, but I loved playing totk either way

They’re both in the running for a second playthrough in my opinion but more so for breath of the wild
I find both games very fun!

Not its not
totk feels too familiar to be a new game and the story sucks and has holes I personally like botw better
Something i really hate is that the dragon tear memories are not in order, so it just spoils the entire game.
