Facts i feel like they should judge what's there not if its not finished. Some unfinished tattoos look better than the finished and the unfinished tattoos still get eliminated

artists shouldn’t have to go home for having a canvas walk out, 90% of the time it’s not their fault.

@Chronic Blues you can't stop a canvas from walking out. That's their own decision and you can't make it for them. If someone wants to walk out, it's their own fault.

Exactly. Hers was the best, she got handed a shitty canvas. Oliver is talking rubbish, those little “green scribbles on the outside” are what artists call bloodlines, they use it as markings so if the stencil rubs off they still can see the original design. It’s very a common technique and they are ridiculously lightly done, it doesn’t even hurt, it’s more like an itch LOL. Sometimes these judges talk so much crap.

Pony is not a healthcare provider, she's an artist. She doesn't have a "bedside manner". That client seems like an entitled, insecure individual who wasn't ready to act like an adult and help her own self. Especially because Pony obviously isn't super comfortable with English, and Slavic countries like Russia culturally tend to be much more reserved when they interact.

I think the canvass was a little off. To say the least. Ridiculous
Pony was so kind and respectful of her boundaries too! Pony literally said,"I don't want you to feel that way, is it something I did?" When the girl said she felt uncomfortable, pony showed up and was like,"hey, im sorry, let me try and make you comfortable and if not, then you're good to go home" ive seen the way other artists react to REASONABLE clients unlike that one, and pony was above and beyond with her bedside manner
The canvas was wrong, like “you’re scratching me with the paper towel when you are wiping”. Uhh...
I think the canvas was too embarrassed to admit she bit off more than she could chew. She was in too much pain that she put herself through by signing herself up to be a canvas. She probably put the blame on Pony to avoid accepting her own role in causing the situation. Who wants to admit they are too scared and in pain for a tattoo on television?
Pony's unfinished tattoo was SO MUCH BETTER than all the finished ones.

you do realize there are parts on the body where tattoos hurt way more. the back and upper thigh and the cest, are the worst places to get a tattoo. as there is loads of nerves there.

For a tattoo artist I find it hard to believe he doesn't understand blood lines to help keep the stencil. They don't even hurt when they're done. The canvas was a mess and the artist shouldn't be penalized for it.
Finally a comment I agree with 😭 as a judge he didn’t point out and pros about the tattoo he only talked about the cons which I find really fucked up.
As someone whose has bloodlines they hurt hurt like hell when being tattooed over in the same sitting. It's essentially getting tattooed twice in the same day in the same spot. Like taking a pin and sticking it in an open sore over and over.

Pony is such an amazing artist, she punches in colors SO BEAUTIFULLY. even if i was in excruciating pain, i would never walk out on one of her tattoos. the canvas was kinda a brat though, she left bc Pony wasn’t ‘encouraging her’? like-

@@cryptidcutie164 just a heads up if you hate the bullshit itchiness and scabbing of tats. Check out a product called "saniderm". I put it on after my tattoo is done, take it off and wash it before bed, and put a new saniderm on. Then do that same process again two mornings later so you get all the goop out. Then I wear that same one for about 5-6 days.
Shits a lifesaver. Let's your tattoos breathe, not get infected, the color stays way better and, and you don't have to worry about itchiness or scabs(if there is any its mild, and usually just because of the hair growing back). It's basically entirely healed within that 1 week span. Just needs a bit of lotion after that to rehydrate it.
Only disclaimer I'd give would be if you do decide to buy it, just test it on yourself before you get tatted so you know you don't have an allergy too it, super low chance but you never know. 🤙

The only thing thing can stop me from sitting until Pony finish that rose on me is death. That tattoo is 100% worth dying for. The canvas lady will regret this once all her brain cells come back from vacation.
Pony was so calm and understanding with the canvas wanting to leave. That canvas is so entitled and should have expected the pain when it comes to tattoos
Pony's unfinished tattoo looks better than some of the others, especially the lips and bullet. It almost looks like an artistic choice rather than unfinished.
Ponys canvas had a bunch of unfinished tattoos..she's probably one of those that likes tattoos but can't handle the pain..she just didn't want to look like a baby on TV lol...the rose was next level

Outlined or not, Kevin’s tattoo was still by far the best. The judges are so inconsistent. I love this show but it’s so scripted
Without an outline that tattoo is not going to look nearly as nice in a few years. The judges are right, those colors are going to bleed together and those roses will look like some red smudges

Realism doesn't have outlines. I've seen tons of tattoos without outlines that last when using a dark color.
An outline doesn't hold all the color in magically. So if the color isn't packed in there it'll fade whether there's an outline or not.
It has to do with the way your body reacts to the carbon in black vs the the fighting the other colors. Black actually build a fence around the color holding the color in and protecting it. I have beautiful 20-30 year old tattoos that have barely bled. Of course they were done by excellent artists and not scratchers however they all are outlined, color or black and grey. Of course don't forget it's critical to always use sunscreen!

I give huge props to Pony for handling that canvas as well as she did. I would've handled it differently and probably not in a calm way because I get frustrated easily. That client probably has the worst pain tolerance and probably an attitude towards her artists. I say that because look at her other tattoos; they're unfinished as well. Like girly, you're there to get a tattoo. It is going to hurt, and Pony isn't your therapist and she isn't gonna baby you. She is also Russian, so she may not talk much because English isn't her first language, it's not because she doesn't like you.
That girl with the realistic tattoo.. I would rather my artist not. Talk a and just concentrate.. I always ask my artist if they want to talk or not, I don't find it uncomfortable to be in silence

Can we please give Kevin Laroy‘s tattoo the props it deserves? Drawing photorealistic is hard, but creating a tattoo as realistic as his? Man that‘s insane talent there. And saying the red will fade into its other shades in one or two years is possible, but not certain. Every skin is unique and if the tattoo is being looked after the proper way and protected from the sun it surely can still look stunning in two years

The “I know it’s not close but I can feel it in my penis” I FELT THAT. My chest tattoo is kinda close to my nipple but it felt like he was DRILLING my nipple the whole time. Getting tattoos in sensitive areas sucks.
Pony wasn’t even being rude or anything by she was really sweet asking her how she’s doing and really trying that lady was just in a lot of pain and irritated I think that lady will have a hard time trying to find someone to finish what pony started. And she is going to totally regret leaving!
Agreed. Pony was being very nice and polite. The canvas needed to take a Tylennol and suck it up. Roses are my fave flower and I wanted to see the tattoo finished. Another tattooer would tell the client to suck it up butter cup.

Getting wiped Is very painful especially after a long session on a sensitive area, but its something the artist has to do. She shouldnt be getting a tattoo if she cant handle the pain straight up not Ponys fault
@@50ulEat3r getting wiped is significantly less painful than being jabbed over and over by a needle. She actually bit off way more than she could screw and was so embarrassed that she wanted to put all the blame on the poor artist for not “being there mentally for her”.
The show also gets these people, like what were they trying to do? Sabotage a player by getting canvases that bail when the needles hurt too much or fight every which way about any aspect of the challenge? There is this dude who wanted color when it was a black and white challenge and left because of it.

Like do they screen the canvases before accepting them on the show??? If you can’t sit don’t sign up, if you aren’t open to compromise don’t sign up, if you aren’t going to listen to the person that tattoos who a living DON’T SIGN UP.
You do a questionnaire before you came on the show but it didn’t ask half of the questions it should’ve. They definitely make it seem like the client has more artistic freedom than they do since it’s a competition with themes and limitations

I always thought I wasn’t so tough, but I have 3 tattoos and It never hurt as bad as some of these people act like it does here. To me, it feels like I have a sunburn and someone is using a rough fingernail to scratch it. Irritating, but I’m not going to cry or quit.
Placement is a big factor for pain. Where are your pieces, and what size? Black and grey, color?
I really enjoyed my first tattoo it’s black and gray on my ankle bone. I also have a stick n poke on my finger. Felt better than getting a piercing that’s for sure. It wasn’t painful at all when I got my ankle done; it was just itchy like a bad bug bite for a few weeks. That was probably the worst part

The rules need to change they need to get canvases who are willing to handle the pain, we all understand they drama of a canvas leaving but we need to look on how the artist feels after not finishing a tattoo because of someone’s choice. Pony tattoos would’ve been fire.🔥

Well to play devil's advocate, sitting and getting tattooed for 6 hours is ALOT. A lot of times your body just simply CAN'T handle the pain anyone.
I sat for 5 hours on my back piece, and that was the biggest mistake I've ever made, I was starting to go into shock. Now I keep my sessions to only 3 hours max.
So I can understand to a point when the canvas wall out.

Some canvases come in knowing it is a TV-show and want to make everything about them.
I’m glad that there are tattoo artist who know that an outline it’s not necessary as long as you know how to put the ink in skin correctly. That statement that “bold will hold” is a myth.
