I agree regarding dishwashers, washing is great but having somewhere to put/hide dirty and drying dishes is the best. I loved seeing your apartment with all your familiar furniture. Love how you change it up to suit your space. Love how you simplify cleaning. I can take forever going one thing 🤦♀️

Hello dear, just popping by to say hi! So impressive how you've made a simple, older style apartment look great! Wanna pick up that Dyso sofa cleaning thingo! My darling Jack Russell (Woozle) is up there in Doggy Heaven now (with Wookie): Im still finding her little white hairs around the place! For example, on a black pashmina I hadn't worn for a while. I shed a wee tear and a wee smile at the same time! Sharing that I have a 'new' doggy companion now: a sweet 14 year old staffy; am giving her her best life, in her senior years!
Oh I’m so sorry to hear you lost your little Woozle 🥹🐾 we found little Woolies white hairs for so long after it was a happy sad thing each time 🥰🥰🥰 Jake would love to have a staffy that’s so kind of you to take an older doggo ♥️♥️♥️ they are still so sweet and have so much love to give in their older years 🐶

Hi Aniess, I gave up on the no dishwasher life in our rented apartment and bought a countertop dishwasher, absolute life saver, small but does the job, what i missed was the instant clean up with a dishwasher. You can sell it when you move to a new home with a dishwasher.

I do a nightly tidy before bed. When you walk into our home you go right into our great room so it has to be kept neat and clean at all times. Dishes are done, liviing room and dining area are tidied if needed and that starts off the next morning right. I have a wonderful dish washer but rarely use it. I just wash as we go, let them air dry sometimes or just hand dry and put them away. Ir's easy to keep up on it. There are 3 of us in our little family too. House work is easy if you keep up on it, as you said just a minute or so at a time. Easy Peasy. Don't save it up to have to do it all at once, then be exhausted. Thank you for the cleaning inspiration! As for dishwashers, we bought a bench top dishwasher when we were renting and it was completely worth losing the bench space!

Air cons in qld rentals should be mandatory.. so many years I’ve lived in units with no ventilation ceiling fans or air cons & it’s pure torture ..
Dishes .. if I don’t do the dishes x3 a day here it constantly looks like we haven’t cleaned the kitchen in weeks.. & that includes putting them away also otherwise at a glance you can’t differentiate clean & drying vs dirty. I agree
Air con or ceiling fans at least should 💯 be required this summer has been brutal 🥵🥵🥵

However.... when Nigel and I did the kitchen reno we decided not to put into a dishwasher or a microwave. We have a fabulous separate convection oven that does everything including air fry! So much better than a microwave. Ours broke 4 years ago and we never replaced. My tip... buy one of these ovens and you will never use a full size oven again. I love that cute cup btw. I bought from Bunnings a 1L rectangular basin. Brand - ezy storage. Size - 41 x 31 x 13.5 cm container. From the cleaning aisle. Use it every day

Great video! Ive lived in only 2 places that had a dishwasher and I stopped using it after once or twice. I used them for storage lol. Never lived anywhere with AC; always had a portable
So lovely to see you back! I needed this today. I started in a new role at work a few months ago and the house work has slipped a bit. I have no dishwasher either, it definitely makes it difficult to have the kitchen looking clean & tidy. I’ve been trying to get on top of most of the housework on weeknights, so this is the perfect motivation for me on this hump day! Thank you 🙏🏼

I cannot live without a dishwasher. I won't do the dishes. I hate hand washing. When I was looking for a new place a dishwasher was number one on the list. My coworkers made fun of me and told me to prioritize but that's a priority!!! And I have my eye on a pots and pans set that can go in the dishwasher too. Handwashing is the worst. And it doesn't get as clean. And like you said, there's constantly dishes on the counter. Dishwashers for life!!!
I caved and bought the cheapest model on sale at Black Friday - lugged it up two flights of stairs with Jake, installed it ourselves ♥️ and now we have to move out as the owner doesn’t want to keep renting 🤦🏻♀️

I just love that whole wall unit and how you decorated it. It's not crowded but just right so that you can appreciate what you have on it without any piece competing with another piece. I'm glad you're back and I agree 100% with the dishwasher thing. Is there anyway you could get a portable one? Even a small one would probably be a big help
It’s so lovely to see you back. We have also lived for over a year now without a dishwasher. It’s changed our routine for sure. I cannot imagine 2 boys and no dryer though. That must be tough. I hope your housing market is settling down.
