Their athleticism has always been unparalleled. To be able to land in full-split position...incredible. The fighting...if Kyokushin Karate can do full-contact with no pads, why not Wushu? Maybe the head-shots? All-in-all, a better sport than I expected to see. Nice video. Thanks.
Sanda is consider MMA because it mix and simplify the complex move of any kung fu styles, and present it in full contact situation.. In my personal observation Cung Le use punch blocking similar like i see in Kung Fu movies with circular footworking, rapid fire punches and kickes, simple throwing and grappling... But if Sanda practitioner trapped in prolonged groundfighting they will loose... Cung Le in Strikeforce/UFC could sustain and counter groundfighting because he actually a decent grappler he also mastering Catch Wrestling and Purple Belt Gracie BJJ as well... Any correction?
Hi my friend. Yes It is very effective if You train fight not show. One of the best styles in the world but they shoud train ground fight. It is useful in self defence. Why if we shouldnt do it on the street? Becouse knowing ground can prevent us from staying there. In kung fu choy lee fut schools they trai n ground fight but in kung fu they train san show, meaby it is part of it sometimes. And thank You for great video. Im fascinated.
If you believe it is......it is!....Practice makes perfect....like the Masters have taught us. Repetition my friends. Any Martial Art schools that practice sparring are good schools. Its very important to spar!!......Its kinda like practice fighting........where u learn to punch, kick, trip, throw etc.....and other fun things!......eventually they all become second nature.......Peace n Love Brothers n Sisters.......
Team lakay has held multiple one championship titles from the Philippines. They are generally effective against kickboxers however have difficulty with elite grapplers
The origin of Chinese " wushu武術 " can be traced back to primitive society. At that time, humans wrestled with the beasts with sticks and other tools, and gradually accumulated some offensive and defensive experience. Hunting in the Shang Dynasty is regarded as an important means of martial arts training. During the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, "wushu dance 「武舞」 / kungfu dance" was used to train soldiers and boost morale. Therefore, it is believed that martial arts can be practiced in the form of dance. The Zhou Dynasty set up the "Preface「序」", and the "Preface「序」" and other schools also included shooting Yu and wushu dance (習舞) as one of the educational contents.
Also there is military sanda and wushu include ground techniques unlike wing tsun is very effective and is a sport(competions, sparring) martial art(mentally, self defenceand way of life) and military/law enforcement system also along with the sport you learn self defence and even demo things if you want(good for flexibility )
Its not ancient ... Infact its a very new martial arts... Shaolin kungfu and wudang kungfu were ancient... When some segments of these styles got influenced by western kickboxing, wrestling, karate, taekwondo, etc , wushu formed ... So its very new
Chinese traditional culture and Taoist culture are inseparable, and the knowledge of metaphysics, traditional Chinese medicine, and martial arts is closely related to Taoist thought. In Chinese martial arts and dance, various techniques, including many spinning, jumping, various postures... are all related to the balance between the five elements in Taoism and the yin and yang.
Of course it's an effective art. Wing chun & aikido which is the most bullied martial also effective. Depending on who using it and what condition he is in.
Follow the howl I know. If you make it the most simple form of it. Something like kotegaeshi can be done without you moving at all. But not applicable to fighting scenario.
Actually no... Ur completely wrong ... Kalaripayattu is the foundation of all martial arts... Kalaripayattu gave rise to kungfu, karate, muaythai, wrestling etc... And when the Chinese martial arts got influenced by Western kickboxing, wrestling, karate, taekwondo, etc it gave rise to wushu... MMA on the other hand came from Vale Tudo... And another pit fight combat style

Chinese Kungfu includes attack, defense, and escape...It can test all kinds of skills, and is really used in real fights (not competitions, not arena, real fighting is chasing, not standing and being beaten), learning How best to protect yourself and prevent yourself from being injured. This is different from other countries' fighting skills. Japanese and Korean traditional fighting skills (karate, taekwondo, etc) are basically directly copying Chinese fighting skills, but they can't copy wushu because they are too It's too hard.
@@debanshumishra7279 Kung fu WUSHU - This is actual combat. The actual combat is killing, not a match, not a ring (no rules, you can pierce the eye), but to be chased and killed (somewhat like Jackie Chan movie feeling), fighting in the chase, e.g. if someone wants to come Kill you, you won't stand and be beaten. Wushu is the wisdom of the ancients, combined with actual combat experience and passed down to this day, learning to master various weapons (things that can be obtained at hand), flexible skills, various offensive, defensive, defensive, and escape... can achieve the best defense (If you fall to the ground, rebound immediately), minimize the damage, and you can escape if you can't beat them. yes and no. When they standardized it many core principles from TMA is gone, not to mention modern wushu which is totally different from TMA. Wushu took away the fighting aspect of TMA and made it purely for performance. Of cos there is Sanshou but then again that is not TMA
