((Though you tell some of them do also train actual Chinese Martial Arts.)) Contemporary Wushu is not actual Traditional Kung Fu. Very athletic and fun to watch... but not real Kung Fu. I remember watching this a long time ago on cable tv. maybe 15 years ago. At the time this seemed so amazing. Nowadays with the evolution of combat sports and mixed martial arts, self defense it seems out of date. Though the value o Traditional Martial Arts should be recognized specially in the fields of culture, history and arts (of martial arts). Such as the Kung-Fu Wushu - Taolu (Forms) or Karate Kata. But for actual fighting and combat sports you need physical trainning and fighting practice (sparring, BJJ rolling), then you can apply some of the techniques such as the ones displayed here.
I totally agree that you can apply the techniques such as the once displayed here but to be honest,i think the mma and ufc is a a step backward and that this traditional stuff really is the future and always has been for the persons that really put in the hard work and patients to become a black belt or werry skillful.to roll around on the ground and simplified things to the basic isnt the right way to go.Its thanks to this arts that even the mma and ufc exist.A master is a master and a fighter is a fighter.A suprise move in a tricky way wheter its a kick, punch or a throw will almost always knock your opponent out.
I like drunken rat myself! I am sorry but as a lifelong martial artist ( From 18yrs old to now, 66yrs old with 5 yrs of wing Chun, the rest in TKD and now Shotokan, I see wushu as more performance and gymnastics than fighting art, I am not saying they are all fakes but there are definitely more con men in Kung Fu than the arts of most other countries
For some reason I can't take the last guy seriously. This absolute unit could literally step on me and fold my ass twice but him yelling a lot makes me thing of DBZ and I can't take him seriously
You can see how some of these styles would confuse an opponent who uses the more popular basic style of fighting. Out of their elements when they prepare their defense for that similar attack style that they use especially if attacking real low is awkward. You see the real life monkey (or chimps) attacks against other monkeys or humans and you can see the viciousness they possess. If I were to use the tiger claw, I would even grow my nails long and cut them into a point. Fight dirty. Imagine a single swipe on a face that requires sitches. Go all out. HAHA. I know a tiger or cat claws are more dangerous but still. If I were to choose a style for myself, I think monkey style fits me the best. Not the drunken style though.

@@fuku-bj2rw no, he really isnt. I have seen many "experts" get their asses kicked in a real fight. In fact when ultimate fighting first came out it wasn't mixed. People fought with their own styles. They all got their asses beat by jujitsu and street fighting.
akbar ghifar it’s not a problem- these are forms- in a real fight these martial arts express have already mastered the fighting techniques- these forms are used to show off their skills I.e. balance, speed etc in a style of kovesets
akbar ghifar I can see monkey guy fucking someone up with his crazy agility and stamina.
For those MMA and self-defense junkies, remember that many of the ancient arts were developed in another time for different scenarios. Your modern techniques may not work on a Chinese Battlefield 1000 years ago...
Greco-wrestling(ancient martial art) is the basis for mma. Somethings never change huh?
Josh Thorpe mma is for all martial artist mixed martial arts not the stupid spot corrupted bullshit
@@MeanMustard650 Definitely an odd line of reasoning. Like you said, wrestling has a ancient roots, but boxing, Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, and other core components of modern MMA have long histories also. I'm pretty sure a good choke, punch, clinch knee or armbar would work in those time as well as now, and I'd trust my life to any of those above an obscure monkey or crane strike.
I'm a cat kungfu. Eat, sleep, lay down, doing nothing. Train hard bro
do you like to push stuff off ledges for no reason?
Cat kung-fu actually is a lot of hassle
You practice Lounge, leaps, speed, agility, flexibility, balance

I master the bear at winter style
While in county, I mimicked the lizards and did pushups along with them. They were sent by the martial arts gods to train me for my impeding war in captivity. It was (not joking about this part) as if they wanted me to see them do it. Whenever I would look outside, their eyes would already be trained on me and looked as if they had been expecting me. I learned of Ip Man's wife in captivity a year later.
-Everybody was Kung Fu fighting-
Tekashi is a master of the “rat” style
i just remembered the furious five
I like how everyone else was super relaxed and kinda quiet except Bren Foster😂 like dude... chill... you're doing a little too much there😅
Never underestimate a good Kiai
Im here because of the curiosity of mantis fighting style I see in a video about mantis
Amazing skill 🙏
Wu shu is more training for stylistic points. I would like to see these guys try their Animal styles in MMA./UFC.
Xu Xiaodong has all of these people on his list lol
Lol hes a pussy why hasnt he “exposed the shaolin”
This is interesting and all, but boy is it cheezy lmao
So many keyboard warriors down in the comments section. They have successfully mastered the art preaching rather than practicing.
Shankar Satheesan ; ikr?
True
Criticisms of the clip are very valid. Most of what is being shown is what known as contemporary Bejing Wushu. Performance forms.
((Though you tell some of them do also train actual Chinese Martial Arts.))
Contemporary Wushu is not actual Traditional Kung Fu. Very athletic and fun to watch... but not real Kung Fu.
This has been an major issue in the community the last few decades. Because there's a very significant difference between traditional systems (real fighting and self-defense) vs Contemporary Wushu (performance acrobatics)
A video like this will always bring criticism and debate.
Though as read more... There's certainly some ridiculousness going on... sigh...
@@bobsciascia I'm not a kung fu practitioner so I don't know whether they're practicing performance forms or otherwise, but I do recognise the importance of katas for combat and katas for demonstration and performance. The former focusing more on the combat application and the latter on the perfection of the form. But what I don't understand, is that there is a surprisingly large amount of "experts" in martial arts on the internet who like to "critique" other martial arts as well as it's practitioners.
My Co worker and I had a fun sparring match an he was like wtf when I started doing basic mantis movements
Did you won?I i bet you did cause if his reaction was "wtf" he probably couldnt understand how to block them so in his world it was probably something new.Suprise moves are always the hardest to block.Mainstream moves works just for awhile.
@@elvisjimpa100 I did, but it was still a challenge, when you spar with a new opponent, it's nerve racking cause you don't know the other person. Him and I spared before, but he's never seen me use styles before. Long story short, once I got him and twisted the arm to an arm bar, he had to tap out.
As an ignorant practitioner of karate, wing Chun and some other martial arts, I want to see these fighting styles in a real fight to see the effectiveness or if they could give demonstration for certain scenarios. I have no doubts about these fighting styles, but these can only be proven as "lethal" if they give a proper demonstration
So these guys are the real furious five
Animal: ima do ancient technique of the human

i wonder how much they paid these stunt actors to fool around on the set. bruh when i saw the "monkey" style climbing up the stand, i fcking lost my shits. and also the one where they trapped a man in a cage with a bunch of flies, i cringed so hard.
I've learned the crane style to avoid bullets in the war
????
I saw this video as a child. It marked me
This is probably a dumb question but is Dragon-Style essentially all the Five Animals combined into one? Viper teaches speed, Mantis teaches accuracy, Tiger teaches power, Crane teaches balance and Monkey teaches agility
It is
Dragón learns to get a throw fire
Then : Maybe we can learn something from then
Now : Lets's eat em all!!
Don't forget the Skunk style, the idea is to take your opponent to the floor and fart in his face, lethal!
Again the Crain. Very beautiful art form very fluid this is what you want
I don't know if it's me, but the sound keeps going in and out.
that's because this channel avoiding copyright strikes by muting some stuff
Good at breaking fingers and being laugh at
🙋🏻♂️ Like if you are here after watching Kong Fu Panda movies 😁
I am xd
Ok i understand kung fu panda now
I remember watching this a long time ago on cable tv. maybe 15 years ago.
Yeah same here. I started out with Aikido, it's not very effective against a legitimate grappler, I switched over to BJJ, I'm currently a purple belt.
@@elvisjimpa100 i want to learn shalolin kung fu but i am indian and i will learn all the animal type
I know this is supposed to be serious and everything. But I cant help but crack up everytime I see the crane guy🤣🤣🤣
I like Panda Kung fu only. The rest is Panda's poo
It's how you use the style not how it looks
I like drunken rat myself! I am sorry but as a lifelong martial artist ( From 18yrs old to now, 66yrs old with 5 yrs of wing Chun, the rest in TKD and now Shotokan, I see wushu as more performance and gymnastics than fighting art, I am not saying they are all fakes but there are definitely more con men in Kung Fu than the arts of most other countries
For some reason I can't take the last guy seriously. This absolute unit could literally step on me and fold my ass twice but him yelling a lot makes me thing of DBZ and I can't take him seriously
That's what you call true power ranger training
With a name like Wong Wei you have to be good
I guess you know Da Wei
