As a first year owner of a Troy Bilt 24 inch snowblower I found your videos helpful.I went out and replaced the sparkplug right before starting it.I found another site on youtube Garage Gear in Buffalo New York, that gave many tips to improve the performance and longevity my snowblower. After much searching I was able find engineered fuel that greatly enhanced the smooth running of my machine. Thanks for this 3 year update on your machine,it gives me peace of mind that I bought the right machine.

It is great that your machine is working and that you could fix it all. You really need it with all the Snow you have there and the cold Weather. But I think there are better snow blowers out ther then the one you have and dont make so much truble. Stay well and take care and stay healthy. Blessings Ilana Cachito!

Nice update. I think Kassie really enjoys supervising. I am surprised how little snow is there. I remember your first winter and how deep the snow was then!🫶🏻

Yes, it is so different and a little worrisome too. I think we will get a lot more in the next couple of months but maybe won't and then we have to worry about wildfires.

It is always nice to have the right tools for the job. I can see why you enjoy working with it. It is a satisfying chore when the machine works as it should. Earlier today I was watching how they clear the snow in Montreal. They load it in large dump trucks, and then they drive to a large cliff and some dump the snow directly over the edge, and some dump it in front of the cliff edge and then they use massive snowblowers mounted in front of big wheel loaders to blow the snow over the cliff edge. It was mesmerizing to watch the drone video. 👍 P.S. Today I received my Bosch AdvancedTemp digital laser temp gauge toy....I mean tool 😁. And I am glad that I ordered it. So easy to use.

Yeah, that is quite the process they do to get rid of the snow.

Hi Dennis and Kullike. Is this the same snow blower from last winter ???? Looks brand new. I was looking at them in Home Depot. I only found out new snow blowers they are making these days work on a battery which needs to be charged. The price and sizes differ depending of the number of hours it will work on battery before it needs charging. Looks like your snow blower works extremely well. So pretty up there. The snow is so white and pristine..

I think a battery operated snow blower would be good for an urban residence or for a smaller area to keep clean. We have a very large driveway and yard site, so need the gas power for now until the batteries get better. Would like to try out a battery chainsaw, though.

It's all personal preference, but usually they are designed so you can adjust the chute w/o stopping. Some are easier to operate than others, tho. My old one didn't have an interlock, so I would just keep the drive going, stop the impeller, adjust, and start it again before too much snow built up in front of it, lol.
Any blower can have problems. I had 3 problems on my new Ariens when it was new. The light connection melted because some one plugged it in incorrectly, it would make a "bang!" sound because the belt would grab due to an incorrectly bent belt guide, and the transmission would slip in 1st gear under load. Luckily, I was able to still reuse the light plug with a few tricks, I rebent the belt guide, and the drive disk start working with age either due to heat cycling or maybe there was just some grease on it, who knows.

Ya, the carb caused that. Something was plugged and causing it to run rich. I'm assuming, with your meticulousness, that you don't run it with the choke on. ;)
Kinda surprising the shop caught that, must be a good shop. Probably saved your motor from a shortened lifespan.

Yeah, I don't run the engine with the choke on for too long and Yeah, I didn't even know something was wrong with the carb. I took it to a farm equipment service center that is also a warranty shop for these snow blowers.

@@rdreamhomestead1451 It kinda makes me question my blower, lol. I've had mine just over a decade, and it runs fine, or seems to.
However, while it starts great cold, it doesn't like to start warm.
