@@williamjohnbennettiii haha you're doing it well. How do you think this jag compares the the equivalent Jazzmaster. I've always preferred jazzmasters, but the jags look so cool with the block inlays...I'm torn
I honestly tend to prefer Jazzmasters, I think they’re a little more versatile and I prefer the standard scale length. They’ve both got their thing though. I went with this because I already had a nice JM that I love
I've owned an American Vintage '62 Reissue Jaguar for about 20 years, it is perfect and I have no use for another Jag. That being said, these things are gorgeous and I can't help but lust over them.
You do great demos, man! We need more of these types of videos. I’m also digging the more unique options you mentioned. Did you see the sonic blue JM with gold pickguard?!
No? It’s not normally a look I’m big on but I was really struck by how sharp it looked contrasting with the black finish. An updated 60s model would be sweet. The older ones are available at pretty good deals right now though
Hi William, does the part you play @ 5:08 is from an existing song? I really love it!!! 😀 As a beginner, I admit I had to spy your fingers and to zoom and slow down the video at half speed in order to understand the chords you’ve played (and so I’ve discovered/learned sus2 positions (hope it is 😂)! Thanks for this!! 🙏🏻 ) Great playing and nice video! Cheers!!
Hey thanks! That riff is just something I wrote for a Three Sounds demo track a little while back. There’s no proper song version of it. Here’s the original video: ua-cam.com/users/shortsjcNxgheD1Uc?si=wXiy0s8wfl-v8qqp
@@williamjohnbennettiii Thank you so much for this reply and the associated link! This is really great and I really love the feeling of it! 👍🏻 (reminds me the « sound color » from my 90’s!!) NB; the Tallon dual drive seams to sound really good! But you’re right the Civil Math seams to be a must have!!! 😍
Heads up. Many of the Vintera 2 offsets are being shipped with a threaded collet in the trem. It should be a pop-in. Fender’s remedy is to exchange guitars. Be very careful that you have the right trem system before purchasing.
Just based on memory (it’s been 3-4 years since I had the marr), the neck on the Marr felt a little bit fuller in hand. The bridge is an upgrade. I also prefer the switching/wiring on the Marr The Marr pickups are quite a bit lower output, for my playing I prefer the ones in the Vintera. Playability wise the vintera feels on par, to what I remember of the Marr and to how my 62 AVRI Jazzmaster plays
It’s playing really well as it is right now. But I haven’t taken the neck off to see if it’s shimmed from the factory. May need to investigate next string change
@@williamjohnbennettiii Odd. I just bought the exact same model and the pop in arm will NOT go in. The collet on my copy is threaded. I’m starting to see reports on Reddit, etc., of arms and trems in the Vintera 2 line not matching. This apparently is happening with the V2 Jazzmasters as well.
So many imports are over 1k. I understand from a marketing perspective that these are aimed at people who want but won’t spring for the American Vintage II line but still…
I’m not the only one that hears the signal interference when he puts his hands off the strings right? 6:37 Not a sign right? Just bad power supply in your studio I assume?🫣
Thank you for not just wanking for 8 minutes in the blues scale. I wish there were more like you, my friend xo
Haha just doing my part! Thanks

maple fretboard with the black block inlays.... fantastic. sounds great, if i wasn't a cheapskate, i'd get one.
Sounds and LOOKS fantastic. Nice playing and excellent discussion of the tones. Love to pick one of these up to go with my '60s Vintera Jag.
Incredibly well done demo. Congrats man.
killer video! Great playing WJB!
Keep coming back to this video, now that a few of these black ones are popping up on the used market, I might have to pick one up.
They’re a good time for sure, I love the look, and the pickups have such a great bite to em
You deserve more subs beautiful sounding signal chain and playing and great delivery of video
Holy shit. Thats a fuckin guitar. Love the tone and the black block inlays on a maple board
Such a great video, Will! Awesome sounds! ❤
Thanks Man! Glad you dug it
lovely playing man, and a lovely little rock machine
Thats a fantastic guitar, I'd love one of those. I own two Jaguar's, and I love them, but neither of them are like that.
Nice playing dude
Appreciate it! Thanks
Nice video, always anted to know more about it, you did it justice, thanks
I really want that guitar but $1500 I can’t see not buying the Kurt Cobain Jag for the price. Idk I need to go play it for sure!! Sounds great!
Amazing demo, really appreciate ya dude!
Thanks so much

Thanks Sean! That blue JM is beautiful. It was definitely tempting but I really wanted a jag back in the collection
You deserve more subs man!
I appreciate that!
the vid drops and tunes been bomb man, keep goin
Thank you! Really appreciate it
This was a great choice for you!
i'm near to betray myself towards a jaguar instead a Jazzmaster vinter😅 you are amazing !
Wow, sounds amazing! I hope they make a 60's version, don't love the maple block inlay.

Great video. That guitar looks and sounds sharp!! I have a squire bass 6 rented right now. Should definitely check out the hunters 2 bass VI!!
what chords is he playing at 3:11

I just want it for that neck! I like the off white/ yellow one. Hard to resist. If i could find a American with blocks i would get that
That intro track kicks assssss, do you have it on any platform ?
Thanks! I don’t have it anywhere else, usually just write these for the demos, so they typically don’t get expanded on. But so glad you dig it
Great video!!!
Thank you!!
bro tysm, sick playing
Thanks for checking it out! Glad you enjoyed it
If you're into making dreampop or shoegaze music, this is the guitar for you
Right on. That's why I'm getting one. My buddy has a Jazzmaster, we've agreed to swap them out as needed.
what's the difference with the squier classic vibe?? dang there are way to many types of these guitars. why???
Heads up. Many of the Vintera 2 offsets are being shipped with a threaded collet in the trem. It should be a pop-in. Fender’s remedy is to exchange guitars. Be very careful that you have the right trem system before purchasing.
How would you compare it to Johnny Marr?

@@williamjohnbennettiii Thanks, thinking about vintera as 2nd guitar on gigs, for different tunings than my Marr. It might fit!
It sounds much better than the Vintera I
Does it need a neck shim?
It’s playing really well as it is right now. But I haven’t taken the neck off to see if it’s shimmed from the factory. May need to investigate next string change
I feel that the squier classic vide jagu sounds cooler, more surf like sounds. very hard to decide there are too many.
Great video. Is the trem arm a pop-in or a screw-in? Just curious. Thanks.
Thanks! It’s a pop in.

Ngl you can get a lot of guild starfire for way less than this.
Sure can
I like it a lot, but $1500 for a Mexican Jaguar? I will pass.
New guitars are getting pretty ridiculous these days
So many imports are over 1k. I understand from a marketing perspective that these are aimed at people who want but won’t spring for the American Vintage II line but still…
Get a Squier CV, set it up properly and put an American trem on it for about 1/3rd the price. Or get a leftover Vintera I for 2/3rds the price.
Agreed, waiting for a used one with some figuring in the neck or Ill end up with a Squier Classic Vibe
That's what I paid for my American Vintage '62 Reissue Jaguar, granted that was nearly 20 years ago. It still seems like a lot.
Had one, thought it was an totally unnecessarily complicated version of a mustang.

Yea my basement gets a lot of rf interference, happens with all my guitars.
