This is DEFINITELY the most didatic channel on calisthenics you could ever find in YT. I've been following the excellent THENX, JumpRope Dudes, Calistenia Brasil, Pinho Calistenia, BarBrothers e so on for months, but FitnessFAQs is by far the most concerned about detail, form and injury avoidance. I can only appreciate this such wonderful job done here and share with my people. Bless you, Daniel. I hope life can be always good to you. Cheers.

This is the best video I've seen on the subject. I'm 6'2" 190, I did the eccentric movements with the pike push ups first also. I had a major shoulder injury a few years prior. I was in decent shape when I started, take your time, it's worth it. I was standing shoulder pressing 80lb dumbbells for sets of 8 after doing these hand stand push ups for about 4-5 months. This exercise, with pull ups and pistol squats will get you in GREAT shape. Don't drink too much alcohol and take boron.

I can do no HSPU at this stage - I took about 18mo off of any exercise due to injury (turns out to be OA) and hadn't done any strength training for 5+ years. Now I weigh 111kg, but in January I pieced together a simple general fitness routine based on your beginner upper/lower body videos and am now at a stage where I do 3 x 9 pike pushups and am beginning to get my feet off the ground. I'm still a heffer but it feels great, and the OA is well under control in terms of chronic pain, no more sudden onset of weakness, and maybe most important, I don't avoid movement anymore. Love your work, thanks.

Always move consciously and controlled so that you can stop when necessary and that you know when it is.
Try to tense all muscles throughout the relevant chains to stabilise your joints.
You can train conscious control of your muscle tension on the side throughout your day by merely tensing it without resistance.

Great video Daniel! I used to do a lot of pike pushups (ground and elevated) until when I tried wall handsand pushups i could do about 3 reps. Though quick tip ALWAYS warmup your wrists! I fucked up my right wrist even when I did only 1 rep and a wrist injury could heavily affect your push workouts but I'm all good now. Goodluck everybody!

Hi Daniel, it’s a great video helping me with my handstand. I only started recently practicing for the handstand as it is International handstand day on the 23 June 2018, so something to practice for.
    Thanks Again

Suggestion for topic of a future video - push pull vs upper lower split - I own both LL and BBR - great resources. Ive noticed in a few videos you’ve touched on upper lower - would be great to hear some of your personal experiences using the different schemes.
