Which Marilyn Manson moment wasn't the craziest?
My days listening to Manson ended after Holywood.

Marilyn Manson was my very first concert. I saw him at a small venue in 1995 or 96 when I was 14 years old. I convinced my dad to take me and three of my friends. This was right when he released sweet dreams as a single. The show was the craziest thing ever! Cutting himself with broken bottles, touching himself on stage. My dad had no idea what he signed up for LOL

Me too! I was 12 or 13 at Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio. Also, 1994/1995 time frame. My dad was mad bc my Mom let me go, but they were not with me. She dragged him along to a White Zombie concert around the same time frame, and he also got the shock of his life. He was a Jehovahs witness at the time, and my mom had left the religion, so she wanted to have fun and live her life.

if manson is sober, he puts on an amazing show. i saw him in knoxville about a month ago and he put on an amazing show. you also have to realize the guy is nearly 50 years old and is still writing music and touring. that by itself is amazing, especially given that he’s spent the good half of his life screaming and beating himself up. he’s one of the last true rockstars.

I mean, the entire band of Metallica is older than Marilyn. And James Hetfield has been to rehab like four times, idk about the others. But they at least still put on a damn good show when you buy their tickets and go to their shows without it being a coin toss on if you will get a bad day performance. They beat the hell out of themselves with drugs and alcohol in their glory days (not that those have entirely ended tbh), but there's a difference between a bad performance and someone's ability to use their skills/talents literally dying before your eyes on stage. He's ruining himself, be it because of his own demons or otherwise. Pretty sad to watch. I don't think it has to do with age.

I'm so tired of people talking shit about Manson. It's clear he's past his prime but give him the credit he deserves at least. Everyone thinks he should retire, well he put on a damn good show when i saw him a few weeks ago.
It's just annoying to see people jumping on the hate Marilyn Manson train. I just lost my brother. I can't imagine how he feels losing both his parents, having to kick out twiggy all in a year must feel.
Yea, he is not as good as he was in the 90s, he's still better than most of the shit that gets pumped out today.
I think he needs some time away from touring and recording and acting to just deal with whatever issues he has.

Aisha Arellano First, you could have done a quick Google search to see that he is worth $25,000,000, so if that's what you call "semi rich" you live a very different life than me.
Secondly, why would he retire when he's still selling tons of records (most recent debuted #8 on the billboards) and selling out shows?
      He has a huge following.
The guy obviously has either mental issues or addiction issues. I think he should take some time to take care of that personally..
I wasn't aware though that you knew him and his personality and motivation behind doing what he does. Do you two talk about deep issues like that often? Smh

xXKhAoSXx84 PSNPro256 I think that would be an awsome first concert! I went mainly for Marilyn Manson, I've been a huge fan forever, but Rob Zombie was so fun too, better than I expected.
I think it's true, Manson isn't as amazing live as he was 20 years ago, but he still puts on an amazing show 95% of the time. These channels only talk about the few fuck ups that happen, not all the other great shows he does.
I think Marilyn Manson was better on this tour than he's been in years. If you can go, and you're a fan of Manson, definely do! Don't underestimate Rob Zombie either though, he was awesome too.
So yes, I say go for it!
I would honestly love to hear what you think after going too.

xXKhAoSXx84 PSNPro256 I saw him like 4 times back in the day. It's never going to be that. It was insane, there were protesters, it was just a different time.
His voice though was better than its been in years. I was legit surpised how he could still do that classic scream so well and hit those high notes.
He gets a bad rap, but he kicked ass when i saw him. Oh my instagram there's a video of them playing 1996 i think.. i might have a few if you want to check it out.
But I'm a semi fan of Rob Zombie too. I do love his movies, but just don't really keep up with his music. I was though pleasantly surprised at how good he was. He played a lot of white zombie songs and it even though it he was not why i went, i actually was going to leave after a few songs, but ended up staying...
I'm excited to hear what you think.
The prices went way up as the show got closer so keep that in mind...

Honestly, the people who are hating are ridiculous. Yes, he's aged. Yes, he's been through a lot. I don't think he ever dealt with losing his father. But, the fact that he's still going on and making music is a huge testament to his drive and passion. I don't care if he's not as good as the antichrist superstar he used to be, he's still one great rock star and one of the few real rock stars today.

Sadly, the closest ive evwr come to meeting him was in Denver, Co at the mayhem fest. I was front row in the floor area and he grabbed my sunglasses and performed with them on. That was back in 2009. I recently saw him in Austin, Tx this past august with Rob Zombie. Personally, I think he still puts on a damn good show. I still would love to meet him one day.

I was there at the club Trees in Dallas, January of 1995 when he was accused of killing a chicken onstage. Later in his autobiography, he said the chicken got out of the cage and died in the crowd, but I can tell you that he threw the chicken into the audience, twice. I was on the balcony above the stage. I’d been there since the afternoon. The chicken flew around the crowd, ended up back onstage and back out again. Soon the chicken quit flying around. I’m sure he didn’t intend for the chicken to die that way, but I will say that the show and energy in that place was like nothing I experienced in all the concerts I attended in the 90s. From Nirvana to NIN (twice with MM opening), Marilyn Manson’s were the best concerts I ever saw in terms of energy with the crowd in a trance. This was all the Portrait of an American Family days. Their peak in my humble and meaningless opinion.

I never had a problem with Marilyn Manson I just like 5 years ago or was it 4 years ago I was a little disappointed when I saw him live at a concert because I heard so much gets stories about when people go see Marilyn Manson and then concert that was a lot better in the concert than the music videos but I was sadly wrong but instead he got drunk on stage cussing everybody out and throwing beer bottles at people and then he didn't really played all the songs because later on he left the stage and everybody got really disappointed, I mean yeah he should retire because he's getting older I mean old but he still a famous rock musician yeah he's been through a lot of crazy s*** and yeah he's been to court a lot because of his crazy s***but I still love the man.

John Michael Patrick It’s not really that special, it’s just an anise liquor high in alcohol (around 66%) and with a lot of sugar that is usually served mixed with some water and with a caramelized sugar cube. Actually, absinthe can contain substances that to an extend can cause hallucination, but in general, those aren’t sold and very hard to get. You can try Manson’s one absinthe, Mansinthe.
