My cat won't stop meowing literally every 2-10 seconds non stop. She's very spoiled, has a good diet with a schedule each day, she has toys, she has no medical issues.... she just talks constantly and it's starting to drive me insane!

Thank you so much for this video. I was getting so discouraged. Ignoring it and not getting up and letting my cat in and out at night or screaming at them because they're making a lot of noise and the cat litter box to get my attention is hopefully the answer. My cat Mama starts waking me up at 6:30 in the morning for food and if I won't get up then she goes for the cat litter box where they scratch for like 15 minutes super loud and I don't know where else in the house I could put it because my house is not huge and I don't really want it in the kitchen. It's just me and I have one indoor cat, one indoor outdoor cat, and one outdoor cat from the neighborhood that would never leave and doesn't come in because he fights with the other two counts, so in total I have three cats plus a dog from the shelter that has issues that I would not have got had I known. The problems mainly my indoor outdoor cat Rufus. He's staying in more than ever because he's had problems with my other cat and just a whole bunch of other outdoor situation problems so he wants to stay in more now and make noise all night but he doesn't want to stay out either. If I don't let him in in the middle of the night rather than going in the garage like he used to he'll stay outside and make so much noise at my door.as he possibly can. Not to mention he's torn up all of the insulation at the front door that I put up every time from scratching it all up. Sorry if it sounds like I'm just venting I'm at my wit's end. He also wants in and out in and out all day long. I'm googling that next LOL I'm really glad you can look things up now

My cat meows constantly at night when I close the door to prevent him from being inside the room. I do that because I don’t want him jumping on things while I’m sleeping because he usually makes noises when jumping on stuff and it wakes me up. Usually 30 min to an hour before I have to wake up he wakes me up with his meowing. I try to ignore him but he never stops. He will continue to meow and scratch the door and it just gets really annoying. I think it is because he starts to feel lonely. My other cat doesn’t do this at all. I keep him outside in the living room at night as well. The cat that meows will stop meowing if I open the door and keep it open. Is there anything I can do besides ignoring him and waiting for him to stop meowing?

I can easily sleep until 9 am on the weekends and he's calm and quiet until I come out then the music starts
That doesn't go on for too long he's pet, fed, watered and windows open

My cat rarely meows. I learnt the reasons for his meowing. If next to litter, indicates that he wants to poop but litter not yet cleared. If next to any of us, he wants to be carried and pet.

The first 4 months I saved the cat from a Rescue, so she was fixed. She never ever made any noise, and that is why I adopted her. Around 6-8 she is able to entertain herself by running back and forth non-stop and pouncing, etc. But syddenly for the last 3 months from 11:00-12:30 she meows.

Has something changed in her territory or circumstances? Cats always respond/react to change.
our burmese cat's companion of 10 years died a few weeks ago and now he is only demanding attention at night. He just doesn't seem to want us to sleep. He has always been vocal but he doesn't meow during the day that much... he sleeps most of the time and he isn't demanding but as soon as we go to bed he is on the bed demanding attention and will even meow the whole time you are petting him. I feel bad to lock him out of the bedroom but we need some sleep! We know he is lonely but we just aren't in a position to get another cat right now. Any other ideas?
Anyone who knows how to deal with a cat that meows excessively everytime just because he wants to go outside? Im afraid i cannot give him what he wants because its too dangerous for him but im also afraid with him not pooping (but he urinates tho) except for outside. I just wanted my cat to poop even inside our house idc tbh, but because of this behavior i let him go outside for a while and he went 7 days missing after and i regret it. Soon as i found him, we immediately decided to make him a total indoor cat but im afraid he will push himself not to poop again. Im too worried :(

My cat came to me in February2023. She was already an adult, and simi-feral and didn't know what a litter box was. She was also pregnant. I guess you can say that she chose me, because as I was carrying in my groceries, she slipped in and then when I tried to put her back out she totally refused to go out. I'm one of those who believes in fate and destiny and cosmic attraction, therefore I believe that everything happens for a reason. She chose me for a reason. Before her kittens were born she came and went as she pleased. Then her kittens were born and she stayed inside for the duration. During this time she learned how to use the litter box. Then that's when I decided that there was no reason for her to go back out to chance getting pregnant again. Lately, she has been meowing constantly. Last night she kept me awake until 2 AM. I have been practicing ignoring this behavior and wearing wax earplugs which drowns out most of her noises. I have also discovered that she is in heat again. Could this be the reason for her meowing?

Hello there, I have a question my cat is meowing in a very strange way I have never heard of that and she keep meowing every time and I don't know what is the problem,how can I find the problem with the cat?
1st of all best to visit the vet 1st. Because at times cat can suffer from medical condition they give them pain or episode of meowing. To add on to this, cat that are not spayed or neutered will also experience such episodes.
Do also not that different cat have different meow sound. So it might also be nothing. Hence best to visit vet with video evidence just to be safe.
With cat behaviour issues, there are alot of detective work need to be done. And such question that we ask ourselves when trying to solve the issue is:
1) What changes before the 1st occurrences
2) When does it happen (night/day)
3) What are the possible triggers points
Above are just some brief questions.
From there behaviourist will have an action planning to eliminate the trigger points either permanently(where possible) or temporarily. And offer an alternative to the cat as a solution for both humans and cats to leave peacefully.
I'm here and I haven't even watched full of it but i thinked and i get my older cat and make it look at the new cat and show dominance to it and the new cat stopped and slept
My cat usually sleep around 10pm after playing around, but the thing is he start meowing around 3am. Sometimes I feed him but after 10minutes feeding, he start to meow again. I don't know what to do.
Best to put your cat in a routine. Once they understand the routine, they will eventually tone down. But all this take time and consistent effort, to as not to confuse the cat. Meanwhile, you just have to listen to his "Singing" [meow ]voice

I still can’t get my cat to stop meowing at night. Maybe I should go to a vet?
My cat is two years old so she’s definitely in her toddler years I’m gone all day for work but when I’m home we have a good solid few hours together for playtime and cuddles before bed but she never wants them I feed her and play with her but she wants cuddles in the middle of the night when I have to sleep she meows and cries on and off throughout the night because I have to leave her outside if my bedroom door cause she doesn’t sit still at all I just ignore it and hope that with time she’ll get this routine of mine
My cats do poo and pee in various places in our house although we have proper litter boxes. None of us actually gets why this happens, as well as why one of our male cats (one year) keeps meowing loudly and run to random places like he's in panic.

Edit: meowing loudly could be that he wants to mate or want your attention, running into places could be that he's having zoomies

I agree with 천사의 . Cats that are not spay and neuter tend to spray marking territory and meow excessively. It is made worst they are on heat (mating season).
Cat behaviourist will suggest:
1) Get cat spay or neuter
2) Vet visit to unsure no medical issue
3) Dive into cat issue and environment to get down to the source of the problem and provide a plan to follow up with.

My cat cry’s all night at my bedroom door he’s 8 months old and I had to start shutting him out my room at night because he’s spraying everywhere. Even when I did let him in my room when I was sleeping he would cry beside my face .
my cat literally wont play with anything, ever. this has been an issue since he was a kitten. i have zero way to tire him out ever, ive tried every toy possible, he just sits there, ive tried multiple cat behaviorists and vets and they couldnt find an answer. he alsp doesnt hunt, and instead "befriends" other animals that enter the yard, ive seen him have birds land on him and the squirrels will sleep next to him outside. the issue with this is he is obsessed with going into the back yard, and he is never let out ther after dark. well for the past 5 years he has cried as loudly as possible every single night by the door to be let out. he even bites me awake then cries as he walks towards the back door. the house i live in has bad accoustics and i can hear him literally anywhere in the house. i havent had a decent nights sleep of more than 4 hours in years because of this. im at my wits end honestly ive even tried putting him in another room with the doors closed but he knows how to open the doors. ive literally slept in my car tons of times to get away from the noise
I experienced this exact issue as well when I adopted a young cat. I could not figure out why the cat didn’t know how to play,I tried everything and watched every video. He was completely unresponsive with everything and any toy. I honestly had to let someone else take him because I couldn’t sleep thinking about his happiness and if I was doing something wrong or considering if there were mental issues or something. To this day I’m afraid of adopting because I don’t want to possibly go through that again. I would say you might consider finding someone to take him because your sanity is worth it. I was relieved when I found him a place. I’m sure you would feel the same but make sure it’s a good home.

My cat meows all night for no reasons
I have two kittens (9 months old) one meows throughout the night, we leave the door open, play with him a lot before bed, let him sleep with us if he wants etc. But he is very loud. I think generally it is because he wants his sister's attention. She prefers to sleep with us most of the time. Is there anyone to change his behavior if his sister is reinforcing it?

The same step applied plus vertical spacing. Cat tends to get a lot of physical activities outdoors like climbing and hiding. Best to catify your apartment with vertical spacing to make the indoor environment more enriching to your cat.

Not night time meowing, but she meows non stop in the kitchen. She doesn't even know why she's doing it. It started with her brother doing it (he wanted outside), and now she does 2 years after hes been gone (since 6m old). She's clicker trained with lots of things but i can't find a method that doesn't reinforce the meowing. Also she is never fed in the kitchen, she's fed upstairs in the office.

Another cat or kitten might help. But understand that bringing a new cat/kitten mean that you are bringing everything positive from that kitten including whatever negative with it. Make sure you are able to screen the new cat/kitten well before adopting it 😀
My boi just looks at her like she cray. She's special needs mentally and needs pretty constant stimuli. I'm just waking up constantly swinging her "fish on a stick, tossing her stuffed mouse and feeding her catnip. All her fur is back and she's a bit of a chonky monkey now, so, I'm happy but damn! Well, i found this video after my cat won't stop meowing through the night for 3 days. The second day I fell into despair and ugly crying until my brother had to take my cat away from my bedroom. He won't stop meowing when he hears another cat meowing. He once woke me up at 4 am bcs a cat was passing by my bedroom on the second floor. I tried to get his attention by giving him a feather toy for him to chase, he loves that game. Playtime is over, I brought him back into my room and he starts meowing again. I've thinking to rescue another cat so he won't feel lonely but my mom objected to that thought. He still crying and begging me to let him out of the room by clawing at my bedroom key chain as I'm typing this, just so he can sniff at the mesh door and meowing again. I don't think I can survive ignoring his loud meow, my morning shift is no joke
P.s : he's still clawing at my keychain and meowing. His silent only last two minutes before he starts all over again
