The motor on the trolling motor is very close to the live scope mount. I don't know, but have heard that the motor on the trolling motor can cause static/interference with the live scope system.
@@russellparker9231 I don’t run this pole anymore! The handle was too short! (Yes I know they finally made extensions). For the price it’s not worth it! Spend a few extra and get a turret style or an all aboard marine mount
You can raise the pole to whatever height you desire with ease. You just have to always ensure that the pole mount handle rests just about the head of the motor to allow it to turn

This mount wouldn't cause any additional hang up in mats versus a typical TM shaft mounted transducer
Probably not, but one could always raise the pole mount to get out of the way of the mats if having an issue
