Thank you Puella for your kind comment! The toys clothes are really cute, I agree 🙂 And ‘Alfred’ is happy with his new outfit. I’m looking forward to warmer weather so that I can start wearing my knitted Ranunculus Summer jumpers. Have a cosy weekend and best wishes from Belgium, Marjam 🌷
What a beautiful way to start my day here in Brisbane Australia. Alfred I think you are simply dashing. Marjam, everything you create is absolutely beautiful and so stylish. Wishing you a wonderful day and thank you for the sunshine you bring to our day 😊💛🌻
Hello Christine, thank you so much for you kind comment! It's such a joy to make these knitted toys and it's always a surprise to see how they turn out. And Alfred turned out all right, he's cute. I'm hoping to be able to wear my summer garments soon, it's still too cold here in Belgium. Have a lovely weekend and see you next time! Best wishes from Belgium 🙂
Hello Mona, thank you for watching and for your nice reply! Happy Easter to you from Belgium. Have a lovely weekend and see you next time. Best wishes, Marjam 🌷
Super cute is the only way to describe Alfred. His clothes suit him very well too. As for your 2 summer Ranunculus jumpers Marjam, they are stunning. I love the red one the most. Sorry to hear about your lap top and Internet woes. At least that's behind you now. Watching from New Zealand
Hello Emma, yes... I agree, Alfred really is a super cute companion! Thank you so much for your kind comment! I'm really happy with my two Ranunculus jumpers knitted with the Drops yarn. Waiting for better weather now so that I can wear them. Have a wonderful weekend in New Zealand and see you next time! Best wishes from Belgium 🙂
Dear Marjam, you are creating such wonderful inspiring atmosphere with your podcast! It activated me immedeately , to work on my projects with a peaceful happiness inside. I m so lucky, I discovered your channel by a recomendation by Lisa from soulful spinning. Thank You so much and please go on! Christiane (from Germany)
Hello Christiane, thank you so much for your lovely comment! And I'm so happy that I was able to inspire and motivate you 🙂That is the reason why I make my videos... to help you to trust your own creativity and find a happy creatice space in life. I'm already working on 2 new upcoming episodes, so stay tuned. Have a cosy sunday evening! Best wishes from Belgium.
Those clothes for Alfred are adorable! I just made a jumper for a teddy bear and it was so fun. I haven’t gotten the courage to knit my own stuffed animal, but I want to. I know they are a lot more work thank it may appear. Your trousers and sweaters turned out so well and all coordinate beautifully. Thanks for posting and I am so glad your Internet/Laptop problems are gone for good. 🤗
Thank you Lisa! I think Alfred is very happy with his new set of garments 🙂You're right... knitting toys is quite a lot of work. After knitting all the body parts it takes a lot of time to sew everything together and embroider the face. But it's so much fun to do. I'm very happy that my internet/laptop problems are solved now, it was a very stressful experience. And I have to catch up watching youtube videos that I like to follow... like yours! Have a cosy and creative weekend and see you soon! Best wishes, Marjam
Hello Pia, your English is very good. Your little dog is adorable. I also love making toys. It’s so fun to create a gift for a child. I just ordered a little mouse from Barrett Wool Co. I also love to crochet the animals in the Toft collection called Edward Menagerie. So fun!
Hello Teresa, thank you so much for your kind comment! It’s so much fun to knit toys and be able to give to a child. (Or even an adult 🙂) I have never made a crochet toy but from watching UA-cam videos I know the Toft collection. Really beautiful designs! Happy Easter (if you’re celebrating) and enjoy a cosy and creative week! Best wishes, Marjam 🌷
Hi again Another lovely podcast. Alfred is gorgeous and new clothes and sweaters has he been asking for them?? Love your colour choices for your Ranunculus's too. Have a lovely week and hope your laptop keeps working and doesn't break down again as there is nothing worse is there? Take care Hugs Amanda from Lincolnshire UKxxx 🧸🧸
Hello Amanda, thank you for your lovely comment! Alfred whispered his name in my ear and asked very kindly to make him a new outfit 🙂... and so I did. Yes, internet and laptop problems are very frustrating. I hope everything keeps working... fingers crossed. Happy Easter (if you celebrate) and have a lovely week! Best wishes from Belgium .
Dear Marjam, I just found you here and I love the things you make. I enjoyed this video a lot and I am looking forward to the upcoming ones. By the way, your English is perfect. Happy Eastern 🐇🌷🐣
Hello Carys, thank you so much for your kind comment! I'm glad you have enjoyed my video. I continue practising my English and I learn a lot by reading all of my viewers comments and replying to you all :-) We can learn so much from each other. Happy Easter and have a cosy and relaxing week! Best wishes, Marjam 🙂
Dag Mieke, Dankjewel voor je berichtje, het abonneren en je waardering! Inderdaad, heel leuk om een landgenoot hier te ontmoeten 🙂vrolijk Pasen (als je dit viert) en alvast een fijne week!
Pia thanks for this lovely video! I was knitting an easy project while watching yours! Alfred the Doggie is adorable, and the tiny sweater is so darling😍. I want to knit the elephant from the same designer, in fact, I want to make them all! Your pants look great, maybe next time you can show us more details, like the zipper and the back. Happy Easter (if you celebrate) and see you next episode
Hello Raquel, thank you so much for your kind comment! Yes, Alfred is a very good companion and I enjoyed knitting this tiny sweater for him. Great idea to knit Little Cotton Patterns… me too I want to knit them all 🙂 My pair of trousers is made with an elastic waistband, zippers are not my favourite things to use in my projects. But next time I will show this garment a bit more in detail. Happy Easter and have a cosy and creative week! Best wishes, Marjam
Hi there friend, thanks for another wonderful video, I do so look forward to your uploads, I love your accent, you speak so softly, very relaxing video, excellent English, you are a very skilled knitter, I just started knitting my very first sweater and can only dream of reaching your skill level, blessings from Cheshire in the UK, Deb x
Hello Debbie and thank you so much for your lovely comment! I’m glad you like my videos. I really enjoy creating them for you. So happy to hear that you are knitting your first sweater!! We are lucky to have the internet and be able to learn so much from each other through videos on UA-cam. I have learned to knit with circulate needles with the working yarn in my left hand by watching UA-cam videos. I started in 2019 and practised for a whole year before knitting my first sweater in the round. Just enjoy the process and before you know it you will become ‘a master’ 🙂. Happy Easter Sunday (if you’re celebrating) and have a lovely week! Best wishes, Marjam
@@thepiaknits thank you Marjam, I learned continental knitting (holding yarn in left hand) by UA-cam tutorials too! So much knowledge and love in this knitting community, blessings xx
I have the same book 👍🏼😀my husband bought it for me for last Christmas, I haven’t knitted anything from it yet because I’m not sure what yarn thickness to use and what garment to make. At the beginning of the 1st Covid lockdown I started knitting again after about 30 years and I knitted squares with two different colour yarns and each square had a different motif, all inspired by Arne and Carlos, Norwegian designers. I can knit with two different colour yarns, but I don’t know what pattern to use for a shape of a garment. Please post me if you get any ideas. Kind regards from Jadranka.
Hello Jadranka, what a wonderful Christmas gift from your husband! AlterKnit Stitch Dictionary is such a nice book, full of beautiful Fair Isle or colourwork motifs. I think you can use a variety of yarn thicknesses. Knitting with fingering weight with needles 2,5 up to 3,5. Or a yarn like Rauma Finull knit with needles 3 or 3,5. I find knitting two colour motifs are easier knitted in the round with the working yarn held in my left hand. You could knit wristwarmers or a headband or a cowl as a first project. And for a garment you could place the Fair isle pattern where you don't need to do increases or decreases? What do you think? Have a nice weekend!
That was just lovely
Thank you for sharing your beautiful knits. 🙏🏽💚🕊✨
