    For those interested in the temp of that NVMe drive temp that is placed on the back of the motherboard, we have the following:

    Hello there,
    After seeing all you Dan A4 SFX videos, you convinced me to go for it. I will try to go for a gaming build ( probably i7 / Nvidia 3080 or something similar).
    At the end which is for you the best solution regarding Cooling/Noise :
    - CPU: Blackridge heatsink ? with any mod (like with noctua fan)? Or Asetek AIO? with any mod ? Other?
    - Case cooling: any additional fan are worth or not (is the additional noise worth for the x degrees saved? intake or exhaust?
    Do you think i should wait for DDR5 that are supposed to be released next year?

    • @Glob3Tech
      @Glob3Tech  3 роки тому +1

      Hi there. Glad to hear and thank you for the feedback 🤗
      Ok, so after all of my tests and experiments the best possible conclusion for cooling in the A4 is the following combination:
      - Aio with the fan to blow air upwards
      - bottom case fan to blow the air outside the case
      - side slim fan 92 or 120 mm (depending on how tall the vrm will be on your motherboard) as an intake - blowing air inside the case to help the motherbaord cool the vrm, chipset and the M.2.
      The Black Ridge is better than the L9a but a bit noisier even if you use the Noctua fan. The true potential of the BR comes alive when you use the slim 120 mm fan but only if you can find VLP Ram and if the motherboard accepts the bigger fan. A lot of hassle and compromises and still the AIO will beat the BR setup even with the slim 120 mm upgrade.
      The GPU having its own chamber per say, it takes care of itself.
      Hope this answers everything regarding the cooling👍
      With the DDR5, well it depends when you need the PC to be ready. If you can wait that long for the newer generation, then yeah it makes sense to wait but bear in mind with RAM it takes a while until we get kits with the best combo of frequency and latency. Who knows what will happen with the CPUs and motherboards.
      But if you needed now, then grab the best stuff you can afford and enjoy 👍

    • @Xandrae
      @Xandrae 3 роки тому +1

      @@Glob3Tech Hi again, I ve been doing some research, and I would like to know if you tried "blower" type GPU on this setup instead of "open air" type. It is apparently more efficient in exhausting the heat in small cases like the Dan A4. If yes what have been your results?

    • @Glob3Tech
      @Glob3Tech  3 роки тому

      @@Xandrae Yes I am aware of this scenario as well but I don't have any modern blower type gpu at hand to fully test this. The main reason I use a 3 fan card is for the low noise ouput.

    Why are you running Ryzen 3 3100 here when you were running Ryzen 7 2700 earlier?
    Any suggestions for this case on the current/mid-2021 highest end safely air-cooled AMD Ryzen CPU + motherboard + fan combo in an RTX 3080 w/ SF750 PSU setup?
    I take it there is no way that a Ryzen 9 5950X under high load can be air-cooled in this case! :)

    • @Glob3Tech
      @Glob3Tech  3 роки тому +2

      For the first part, I responded in the other clip.
      So far as you saw the 3700x and 5600x will work just fine even in stock form and/or with my manual OC undervolt, even on air. I would guess a 5800x should be viable as well only with the Asetek AIO. A 5900X would be pushing it even on the AIO. But need those chips on hand to fully test these. Anyway, don't go higher than a 5600x with the L9a with the undervolt just in case.
      Indeed, way too hot of a chip for any air LP cooler in the A4.

    I have a question, I'm about to build in a Dan A4 and am gonna be using the 645lt as well. I will also be doing the losercard mod so I get better thermal headroom and don't have to worry about air getting in the pump. When installing the AIO you have to remove the side panel clips to fit the cooler, Do you put the clips back or just leave them out? If I remove them what holds the side panel in place? I will be traveling with this pc and would rather not have my side panel fall off.

    • @Glob3Tech
      @Glob3Tech  3 роки тому +1

      Hi. When the AIO is installed there is no way to put the front clips back in. As far as I can tell, the remaining 3 on each side should be enough to hold it into place even when travelling. 👍

    Hey, I have a crazy idea. Can you cut and shorten the water-cooling tubing so the water-cooling radiator can be where the side fan is, and then have the side-fan moved to where the radiator previously was. I wonder if that improves the temps because that radiator can expel heat easier.

    Hey, so the air on the radiator is pushing hot air towards the cables of the PSU + PSU + the tube of the AIO, isn't that a very bad thing to do? specially if it hasn't got much space. Wouldn't it be better to push air towards the bottom of the case?

    Question about the AIO pump position: Have you seen the videos about having the pump above the radiator will get air into the cpu pump and will run much hotter than having the radiator above it? I know that you don't have any other possible space for the radiator but I wonder if thermal benchmarks could be run with the case upside down to test that? Unless your AIO is full 99% now, but with time in one or two years it'll lose air.
