Internet outage across South Africa: Arthur Goldstuck

A cable repair team has been dispatched to respond to the damaged ACE and WACS subsea cables, this after damage to the cables near the Ivory Coast caused disruptions for internet users in SA. There we fewer outage reports on many platforms by Friday. 9 undersea cables make the internet work in SA, and four of those are currently damaged. Mr Arthur Goldstuck , CEO of World Wide Worx joins us for more clarity.

Nonsense, it's office 365 and MS Teams which went down on Thursday, not internet. Google was up and running, only MS services went down, so Microsoft should take responsibility and stop covering up. Most of the companies lost millions during office 365 outage, so Microsoft is avoiding to be sued. London also experienced office 365 outage. Finish and klaar!

Point of correction, here. Google has its own dedicated fiber cables which is being deployed across respectively. This is not the first time and its way beyond now and might take several weeks to be restored.
