@@AceSolomon94 Nami and Zoro have always had an interesting chemistry/relationship but not one that stood out as much in the anime. I haven't cared about one-piece in over a decade, but hot damn this casting is so perfect that I actually want to watch the live-action version. They're all great together. XD
I feel like adding a romance side story line would make this show look so cheap. Every Netflix show that is not horror always has romance. It has been done so much that they have run out of ideas and just reusing them, most notably love triangles and jealousy. By subjecting this show to adding romance won’t just make it look cheap but also very busy. With searching for the one piece and everyone’s independent goals, adding romance will take away from these main story lines and maybe even character building. And lastly the realistically of it. I feel as though none of these character would be even interested in anyone (except Usopp of course) until they meet their goals and can finally focus on that romance aspect that some of them may want (I don’t think Nami or Zoro want it). So yeah, that’s my two cents.
Its not the netflix LA's decision it's the mangaka Oda who won't allow it. For good reason, it makes more sense in the manga but they are more family/siblings than romantic.
