- In this video I use the Dysmetria to create different percussion sounds and rhythms, which is perhaps its original purpose!
At the end of the video I combine the techniques to create some dynamic techno/industrial beats - here the Dysmetria really shines and produces sounds that get close to the Basimilus Iteritas Alter!
00:32 Introduction
01:03 Kick drum sounds
04:01 Hats and (almost!) a snare
10:08 Modulating using Random Stepped CV
12:28 Industrial Grooves
this is the best exploration of the Dysmetria that I have seen anyone do, period. I am LOVING at his series. Thank you SO much.
Sounds superb. Excellent demo. I'm tempted.
If Trent Reznor ever sees this video he’s going to be ordering a soldering iron and one of these.
Trent is almost god-like when it comes to music in my opinion. Thanks for your positive comments 👍🏻👍🏻
Im about to get one of these...do you still have yours?
Sorry I missed this. I actually sold it recently to free up some precious rack space. I loved it while I had it though!
Have you ever owned a BIA? I don’t think it’s very comparable.
I see you have a video featuring one. I totally disagree with your videos title. The bia is much more brutal and versatile. I’m trying to think of a good analogy…. Dysmentia is like the BIAs fat great great great grandpa that took a long time to change what he was doing. Idk..
@@decapitateallcops3214 thanks for your comment. I agree the BIA is a beast and more brutal, I do think the Dysmetria gets really close to the BIA in many ways though.
