- In this video I explore the analogue wonders of the NLC Divide & Conquer and its partner in crime the NLC Bindubba sequencer.
This video took me much longer than expected to create as I would often get enticed into spending hours playing with each patch!
00:59 Divide & Conquer run down
02:49 Divide & Conquer demo
03:42 Bindubba run down
06:25 Bindubba slew demo
07:18 Patch 1
08:33 Playing with the Jump inputs
11:52 Sequencing other modules
16:36 Bindubba as a drum sequencer
18:44 Audio rate clocks
fantastic video. Thank you!
Thanks! Glad you liked it 👍
Excellent run through. I don't have Bindubba and you make it look essential.
I think the unexpected behaviour with the div by 4 is down is due to the fact that you didn't reset both modules.
....but Div & C doesn't have a reset.
If Bindubba does then maybe put div by 16 or 32 into it....things may normalize.
.....but that wouldn't be nlc
Hi thanks for your comment. Actually, one thing I didn't show in the video was the Bindubba reset functionality.... If you send a high signal to both loop inputs at the same time it will reset to step 1. I was thinking of including that to demonstrate changing the length of fixed length sequences and also to see how accurately these could be used to sinc the vertical and horizontal movement.. but I opted to keep the video duration low - maybe I should do a "Bindubba revisited" vid at some point!
There is also a Divide & Conquer mod kicking around that describes how you can sacrificed one of the jacks to have a reset input... Maybe I'll do a vid on that too!
I watch your videos in the day to learn things and a night to chill me out! Wait until you become an unintentional ASMR legend.
Thanks so much for sharing! Glad you're enjoying the vids 👍
Well explained and very nice patching! Great to see a more melodic demo of the Bindubba.
Thanks. That's what I was hoping for - to show the more musically focussed features of the two modules.

Thanks! I love your channel BTW, keep up the good work!
My first two NLC builds. Great demo. Bindubba is also great as a modulation source.
Thanks. Yes good point! There was one patch where I used Bindubba to modulate the decay of a hihat, but I chose to remove it to keep the video relatively short.
Maybe a part 2 will appear at some point.
Btw, how do you use Bindubba as a modulation source? What are you driving with it?
@@ModularExploration works great to modulate filters on my Moog and parameters on my Plaits
Good shout Paul. I love pushing sequences into filters.
