Nick I'm not surprised that you're also an incredible UA-camr!!! It's just a matter of time before this channel blows up. Keep on helping people, brother. Hope you're well.
Tom! Good to hear from you buddy :) And thanks for the encouraging words. Back when I first started writing online (~2018) you were the most important voice for me-both as a model and source of inspiration.
Mental aggression!! I mixed that with the emotion. Very hard to tell them apart as they happen together! Brilliant talk!
Thank you!
So interesting that venting is helpful even though it feels so good. Quite profound!
Yup, very counterintuitive!
Great video Nick! Thank you for sharing

You bet!
Thank you so much for this video 😊
You're very welcome!
Makes sense after hearing this, but I never thought about resentment as anger.
I tend to think of resentment as a member of the anger family of emotions, but reasonable people can disagree :)
@@TheFriendlyMind Thank you. The more I think about, it makes sense, though.
I would love to see content on assertiveness. Thank you for your very helpful material!
By the way, you might really like the guide on assertiveness Nick has on his website. I’m finding it quite helpful.
@@maryannnichols1043 I did not know about that, thank you!
It's on the list :)
In case you didn't find it: www.thefriendlymind.com/assertiveness/

Thanks @Nickwignall. Do these strategies work for other emotions as well?
In general, I think so, although some of the terminology might be different.
