Targets baked good aren’t very good. BUT they do have these seasonal cookies that I thought were very good for target brand. They had these pumpkin shortbread cookies and maple caramel cookies and they were great seasonal cookies. Trader Joe’s is just the best imho. I love their products and grocery and they tend to get a lot of produce from local farms and are relatively affordable for organic food and they have great cookie butter and cheeses and their pantry items are not expensive.

I’m not sure if this video was edited maybe after it was posted but I’m having THE WEIRDEST EXPERIENCE. On my phone this video plays perfectly, but from my TV UA-cam app there’s a line where Kristin says “it’s like a puckered butthole” at the beginning and it completely messes up the audio for the whole video. The reason store bought baked goods often taste metallic is because of the baking powder they use, majority of small bakers do not use the aluminum baking powder since quite a few people can taste the aluminum however the regular aluminum baking powder is cheaper so often biggers corps will use it anyway
If you ever make a trip to Canada, I think you should do a video trying all the Presidents Choice (PC) foods. Of which there are soooo freakin many! And most of them Pretty Good or Really Great.
OK so the best thing from the target bakery was these caramel one bite cookies they had. I have not seen them in a long time but they were amazing. They were packaged like the one bite brownies in a little clear tray, and they had this buttery shortbread cookie kind of cup shape and inside was this delicious salted caramel filling. No joke it was like some of the best Caramell I’ve ever had and it was gooey and delicious without being too sweet and with just the slightest touch of salt to set everything off. They definitely did not taste like they came from target they were incredible. no joke it’s got to be like five or six years since I’ve seen them but every time I walk into the target grocery section I always look hoping they’re back.

To be fair what most people don’t realize about cinnamon rolls they’re purchasing in the grocery store or target is that they’re intended to actually be eaten warm, a lot of times if you say microwave your store-bought cinnamon rolls for even just a few seconds it makes them completely different because the ingredients in them are meant to be heated and therefore they soften.
Same thing with the scones, they’re literally meant to be eaten with tea, so it’s like biscotti you’re supposed to dunk it! They are hard and dry so that they stay together when you dunk them in your tea.
Taste of Inspiration Dark Chocolate Hummus bought at Hannaford in New England is excellent. Plus it's soy free! Hard to find chocolate 🍫 products without soy. (Trader Joe's has some chocolates without soy, plus Enjoy Life brand does, as well. )
I recently tried dark chocolate hummus (made with chickpeas). It’s…interesting? It’s not good or bad, it’s just there and I can’t figure out what it tastes like (definitely not chocolate).

I love chocolate but agree with Kitchen about store bought chocolate cakes not being good. Vanilla seems to be really easy to make good and you can get decent vanilla cake anywhere, but I haven’t had too many good chocolate cakes. Chocolate ice cream is similar, but decent vanilla ice cream is also harder to find.
There could be some version of the bean boozled challenge- y’all could have an array of really great and penalty box foods and take turns eating them at random
