Those chocolate stars and cookie stars were there last year, the first time I shopped at TJs....you wouldn't believe what I spent. But it lasted me a few months. I like the Jingle Crunch, because I had never had and fell in love with chocolate covered potato chips. You guys have me sold on those batons, though!
as someone who worked in various bakeries for a few years, the product packaging say "enrobed" so much because the piece of machinery used to cover things in chocolate is called an "enrober". that's literally it lmao.
I went to pastry school and during the chocolate block of classes I learned that's what the actual term is for when you put tempered chocolate around fillings, so yeah it's insistent nomenclature across the industry.
I'd love to see you do an only Penalty Box episode, with a theme of the 9 levels of Hell. (i.e. different levels of bad lol) You should re-try every single Penalty Box food from the past few years and rate them from Bad, Really Bad, Gross, Horrendous, and Inedible! Or even an only good episode of all the really great food you've had! Btw I love your guys's channel!
Every time you two have chocolate orange flavoured things I think of the moment when Kristin cried over a chocolate orange in the first iteration of this video. I know that it was for the ~other company~ but it was such a sweet moment that made me emotional and I think of it often
I also have emotional reactions to chocolate oranges and I think of Kristin every time I see one and hope that they are also enjoying a chocolate orange
@@lixak6307 It's so heartwarming to hear stories about the pivotal role that chocolate oranges have in so many of our lives! I remember having them at my dad's house every year for the holidays!
I so love Friday's. At the hospital getting my weekly transfusions. I can't think of a better way to kill the time than watching you two. Thank you for the great content
I love that Trader Joe’s didn’t even try to do a Hanukkah sufganiyah. They just went for the gelt (chocolate coins) and decided “That’s enough!” Edit: they apparently sold a pack of eight candles in the Hanukkah section called “Eight Candles.” You need more than eight candles for Hanukkah: you need candles for a total of eight nights where you light one more candle each night. So that’s a total of 44 candles (if I’ve done my math correctly) if you only light one hanukkiah. And even on the night you light eight candles, you need a ninth for the shamash (middle helper candle that you use to light the candles).
Jen, you could literally wear anything and pull it off. That outfit worked so well on you. And Kristen, you looked like you were ready for the Red Carpet. I would love to see more of these videos of the two of you doing outfits. But honestly, I just love watching your videos because your dynamic reminds me of myself and my best friend.
These are so fun to watch, as someone who isn't American. Like. We don't have Trader Joe's. We don't really do Eggnog. Most gingerbread is different, too. But I love to see all the stuff, and especially you two being hilarious.
I wish there was a master list somewhere of the good/better/best & bad! I never remember or have time to watch through vids before I go shopping to figure out new things to try!
I've been having a really terrible week and an especially terrible day. I just finished vomit sobbing because I'm sick on top of everything else and saw there is a new video. Thanks for cheering me up ❤
One of my favorite things about Kitchen and Jorn videos is that the chaos levels start at 100% and continually increase from there untill the end of the video 😆
As someone who just recently tried American style thick gingerbread (and hated it), I'm really curious if Kristin would enjoy the Swedish version. It's thinner and crispier, and often served with a bit of blue cheese. Or just like a slice of flavorful hard cheese and a bit of marmalade or jam. Actually, I'd love it if you taste tested IKEA, whether it's holiday themed or just in general 😄
Yay! thank you for being my sweet lil heartwarming safespace on this here UA-cam hellscape 💜 Edit: I have those same adorable pants that Jen got through thread up & I also love slip on shoes, how fun 🙃
i’m so glad u guys like the trader joe’s cocoa truffles bc those are literally my favorite thing.. i stole a whole box from my nana over thanksgiving 😅😅 (okay, *steal* is a little extreme, my aunt told me i could take it)
hello, kitchen and jorn!! i hope you two are having a wonderful friday so far because you guys deserve it!! make sure to take everything one day at a time. i am so incredibly proud of everything that you guys have done. you guys are absolutely phenomenal. always know how worthy you two are. always know that you guys are loved. always remember to let out your feelings because your feelings are valid. always know how much i love and care about you guys!! i hope you two have a wonderful rest of your night because you guys deserve it
I don't know if it's the type of content you would do, but I would totally watch 'jen throws packaging for x minutes', 'jen knife stuff compilation' or a 'sorry kelly compilation.' basically I would love kitchen and jorn compilations whether that's kitchen and jorn content for fan content
Jen saying "I bet these two have crazy f*cking sex" about the cute chocolates made me laugh way too hard. I genuinely love both of their energy. They help me feel better when I'm having a bad day or just need a good laugh.
just moved into a new place recently and have been missing the feeling of others around/having company and just wanted to say how much this has improved my day and made me feel exponentially better
Literally sitting here eating the mini dark. chocolate mint cookies and was like "they're definitely gonna say really great, these are really great!" 🤣
Every time Jen sings the little ditty of "Jen no do, Kristen do" I laugh so hard, it's one of my favourite bits of the channel! Reminds me of the inside jokes that develop between friends and other loved ones when you spend a lot of time together 😂
Fun fact! Chocolate coins are also a UK Christmas tradition. It's inspired by the deeds of St. Nicholas (Santa himself), where he would give coins to children. Traditionally, they are put into Christmas stockings or hidden in the tree for kids to find
Kristin's outfit is amazing!!! I love ThredUp and get so many deals there! Plann a trip to TJ's to get snacks for a holiday party so this episode was super timely!
OK, I'm commenting while watching. We have non-mint Chocolate stars as a Xmas season tradition in my neighborhood in Brooklyn. But they're graham-based, not shortbread.
Thanks for always giving upbeat fun vibes beautiful beans! Especially during the holidays. You've helped me and others feel better so many times, and I can't thank y'all enough!💯 I hope you're going to do a 'Holiday Slay' outfits vid. Maybe with 🥰Brie🥰
The mini mint chocolate stars are my favorite. I guess because I don't care that they are shortbread. To me they taste like thin mints. Also, they are eight years old (at least).
I'd love to see a Bizarro Kitchen and Jorn episode where it's all the Penalty Box Bad items retried and ranked on a scale of "Just meh, Pretty crappy, Really awful, and Cease and Desist Immediately."
There is an Italian tradition where the 6th of January the befana, it's kinda witchy, brings sweets in the children socks and that chocolate coins are a classic. Pretty sure is where socks hanging American tradition comes from
My older brother had those cocoa truffles as wedding favors lol he bought boxes of them and put 3 truffles into each wedding favor box. We did eat some along the way though because they were pretty dang good lol
Darn, I was hoping you'd do the gingerbread chalet. We have one sitting on the dining room table waiting to be assembled. They were next to the holiday ornament cookie decorating kit at my TJ.
Gingerbread is the worst. I did a quick poll before I even watched this, of my family and literally none of us actually like ginger bread 😂. I love you guys so much. Your videos have brought me out of some very dark places in my life so thank you for the laughs!! I appreciate you so much ❤️
The regular darks chocolate star cookies are absolutely my favorite thing on the planet and I CANNOT have them in my house bc baby Ima eat that entire box in like two minutes 😂
My local trader Joe's has the mini star cookies but not mint, and they're in a different box. It's so confusing because I definitely had the mint ones last year and I really liked them
I remember watching when you did this the first time. I was in the hospital with pneumonia at the time. 🙁 I just paid off that hospital stay this spring. Yay 'Murica! Hot chocolate is much better with milk! I don't like gingerbread either, Kitchen. 😂
It's been four years, are the deserts getting better?? Thanks to Thredup for sponsoring!!
Hell yeah! ❤
yessss!!!
I’ve always been curious, do you slowly eat everything you buy or just give it away?
You didn’t have to eat the drywall merengues this time so that already is a win

Jen: "There's no way *this* could send me to the ER" The glare from Kristin after omg, I cackled!
With Jen I wouldn’t be surprised if a cardboard box sent them to the er
I adore Jen’s chaotic energy! And Kristin is just as chaotic but can control it a tad better.
my partner looked over at me with the same exact expression, because dyspraxia is nobody's friend
as someone who worked in various bakeries for a few years, the product packaging say "enrobed" so much because the piece of machinery used to cover things in chocolate is called an "enrober". that's literally it lmao.
Wait REALLY?!!?
The enrober sounds more like a supervillain than a candy making machine 😆

Have I ever been to trader Joe's? No. Will I probably ever shop there? Probably not! Do I watch these religiously? Yes!
Same! 😂😂😂 They’re hilarious and weirdly fascinating.
I walked into a TJ for the first time last year, and it was so sensory overwhelming that I turned around and walked out. 😂
The closest one to me is like the next town over, but man do I enjoy these
My country doesn't even have a trader joe's! 🤣
Kristin's winter outfit is giving Oscars and Jen's is giving VMAs and both are valid
lmaoooooo I love this analysis
You are 100% on the money with that one!
Jen’s looks like the outfits all the early Disney channel stars wore on the red carpet lol

Yes I would love both of these ideas.
We are doing more penalty box bad cookout challenges!
I love the 9 levels of hell penalty box bad idea!! That would be super funny!!!

Jorn calling Kitchen ‘baby’ is my new sexuality.
Jen saying baby in general is mine 🤌✨️
I was so caught off guard by it but in the best way
Jen really opened that biscotti like a beyblade 😂

One of my favorite things about Kitchen and Jorn videos is that the chaos levels start at 100% and continually increase from there untill the end of the video 😆
This was honestly the most informative ThredUp ad I've seen on UA-cam. Now I'm actually a little interested in trying it.

No one else on UA-cam brings the certain type of energy Kitchen and Jorn bring. The chocolate treat wild sex comment from Jen brought my soul joy. 🤣🤣
On the next “Lil’ Food Fight”, Jen makes leeks enrobed in chocolate!

I love that the cookie kits actual description on the box is “cute little candy sprinkles” not Jen describing them, like I thought at first 😂😂

Love Jen for using perfectly cromulent for a cookie review. It embiggens the review :D
When Kristin opened the bag and pulled out another bag...I'm dead.

A little late to do this for the holidays, but maybe you two could plan and throw a party catered with Really Great items.
