You made pretty good points but I don't think that the problem is necessarily organised religion, I feel like the problem is what's going there in America. There are pretty good sound Churches out there tbh, it's just that the churches that push those ideas (like the mark of Cain one) get the most attention. All sin is sin in the eyes of God so we're all in the same position, we need the healing of Christ, it's just that a lot of people think that homosexuality is bigger that other sins like lying, but it's not true
Heyy, love that you touched on this topic so i would like to recommend a book called "how(not) to read the bible" by Dan Kimball and he touches on a lot of things in the bible the seem confusing/questionalbe and gives them explainations, as well as ofc learning how to read the bible without misinterpreting it!😁
