    Finally, THANK YOU. Definitely more of these cuz they are easy to approach, follow along short studies that are handy for learning the tools and features inside Mixer and getting used to it, while the streams have been great they have been overwhelming from a learning standpoint, and a follow along structure is way more comprehensive at teaching the tool imo.
    Then we shall hopefully enter more, longer focus studies as a video tutorial series with more complex projects where you get exposed to all the nooks and crannies of Mixer and build complete production ready assets, truly unlocking its potential in the process!

    Is all the stuff in the Local Library that comes with the Quixel Mixer 2020 installer free for non-Unreal use? If we have downloaded Megascans for use in Unreal Engine but are currently using Quixel Mixer for a different engine, how are we supposed to distinguish between what is free for all content (I assume the stuff that comes with Quixel Mixer) and what is "Unreal use only" in our Local Library? Regardless of what account you're signed into, it all gets downloaded to the same local library so it's impossible to distinguish between them.

    Hi Quixel. More I work with this more I like it. But I have a question. I couldn't find levels node alternative like designer and sharpen tool. I used both of them almost in everything for masking. What I found instead of levels is 'gradient remap' but doesn't give me all the flexebility and may be I am wrong but it feels it works a bit different than what levels are doing in substance. Do I miss something here or it is not implemented yet? If so do you plan to implement them?

    • @theadnart1
      @theadnart1 4 роки тому +1

      I think the closest thing to the level node would probably be a combination of Gradient Remap + Brightness/Contrast components. But I agree, having a fully-fledged curve editor to control your grayscale values would be even better. Duly noted!

      @@olli3008 I would recommend going to Udemy and try one of the blender 3D courses there. (Try waiting till they go in sale ~$20 instead of $200CA). While not directly mixer learning the basics from the highest rated courses there is a nice jumping off point and will give you the core concepts needed (and more) to understand these tutorials. Also in some quixel examples they go to Maya or 3ds max to edit so to follow along using blender as a free option ties in nicely too. Also quixel blender and UE4 all work together so it's a great use of your time.

I formed the impression that it's a 3D model painter but now I have it open it doesn't seem to be anything like that. There's no tools and no way to do anything.
