Wow this is my 2nd video to pass 100K views thank you everyone for supporting the channel new and old. im so glad you guys like it because i love making them.
and you deserved that, and much more!!!
Because they're amazing!
@Snake Plisken the sparrow is also known as the Cataract
@Snake Pliskenand some nukes. but yeah they were really basic.
I'd REALLY like to hear your response to the idea the NX Ent didn't exist in the original TOS/TNG/DS9/VOY timeline...that it's a result of the Temporal Cold War ua-cam.com/video/IpATLp5cPK0/v-deo.html
I wished that Star Trek Enterprise continued to wish all 7 seasons, not stop a 4. It would give more insight of this war and anything for this time line.
yeah season 4 is so strong. if it had been like that from the start, they might not have cancelled it.
I would have liked to have seen the series version of the Datelus class ships.
I agree .STE was my favorite show, after TOS.
Enterprise is really good, it just understood it’s place too late
Agreed, thought the xindi arc and he’ll even the temporal food war arcs should be kept. Just not what ever they did to Flox in “Night in sick bay”…
Archer is a legend, more proof that enterprise was legit. Masterfully done my friend, well told and if I may say.... Very entertaining
Yes & he's the 1 who have bring the Vulcans, the Andorians, & Tellarites united as 1 for a common cause that which it will become the most powerful space nation in the galactic history. That which will be as the United Federation of Planets. For Archer - 1. Retired from Starfleet & became ambassador for Andor (Andoria) & 2. The 1st President of the United Federation of Planets - Both the head of state & government.

This story would of been a perfect season 5 of enterprise. Shame. Good video
Fith, sixth, seventh, and eighth.
Show gotten better as Manny Coto helmed the series and yes he understood Star Trek. The proposed Season 5 is and was a exciting Season if Paramount and UPN just renewed it. And they would have profited some more via overseas and reruns!!!!
Stephen Arseneau in another dimension.
@@digipeeper You misunderstood. The Romulan War lasted four years. The only good season of Enterprise was the fourth and by then it was too late. I found the Xindi arc annoying and so did a lot of other people. A race never heard of before or after. A "new" race just thrown in just like the Suliban. The first three seasons should have focused mostly on the conflicts and resolutions of the Vulcans, Telarites, and Andorians and they could have made a far more in depth story than the condensed version we got from the series. But instead they bored us for two seasons straight, and just threw the Xindi out of nowhere. Earth didn't even have a proper fleet by the fourth season. They only had two NX class starships by then, and the Romulan war was supposed to start next season. So unless Starfleet started mass production right away, Earth would have no fleet in which to fight the Romulans. This is why Enterprise was a silly series.
Stephen Arseneau Your telling me nothing that I already do know.
It all started with the mysterious Futurian and the “Temporal Time War” which they failed to even wrapped up!!!! The Klingons where too soon introduced and ignored the history of their First Contact which was a violent bloodbath!!!
The Xindi was a inferior mimic of the Dominion. And the resolution was a button from the Future!!!!!
Enterprise is a great idea as a prequel and gave us what it was like before pre-Federation Starfleet.
When the cancellation was proposed by Paramount there was the ultimate bullshit of a episode called THESE ARE THE VOYAGES and lets not even go there.
For the sloppy scripts
Guess whose to be blamed......
Rick Berman and Brannon Braga!!!!
And this is before Alex Kurtzman is the destroyer of Star Trek!
Sucks that Enterprise ended after 4. Would have seen a refit NX-01 and a hell of a good story. It's not too late
Dude. Why doo you have only 2230 Subscribers?
A channel like this with soo much high quality content deserves a lot more than that!
I always Michael Martin's books would had made a great movie! The Romulan war has never been covered on screen. However in Martin's novelization there were many months that had nothing written about it. But the Telecapture device was used in the infamous Kobiashi Maru no win scenereo in his novelization. And also TRIP NEVER DIED!
Aerospace Cadet I just wish that was the version that was filmed. The novel’s version of the events would be a lot better than the filmed episode.

Sci-Fi military history. Brilliant!
Great video! I particularly like the battle description of both fleets. And "Admiral Archer" leading the way!
"Induce instability by more direct means" I LOVE that voice.

@@weldonwin "You may fire when ready."
Good commentary, pretty clear even without having read all the background material. At first I hated the idea of the NX class fighting alongside Daedelus class because, well... they are pretty damn different. On the other hand, you can kind of look at the NX as the first experimental race-car and the Daedalus is a higher tech but more mass production friendly design, somewhat modular in nature allowing for rapid assembly, and deploying into the midst of a war makes that a little easier to swallow.
It is really nice to see the daedalus class ships . i remember from decades back when it was announced and that the Enterprise was a Daedalus class shipp but never saw much on them until now. Thanks for sharing
You have the Centuries wrong, the Romulan War startet in 2154 (22nd Century) not in 2254( 23rd Century) what would have been Kirks Time.....
with nukes and no viewscreens
Well told, you definitely have a skill for storytelling. Keep it going! I look forward to your next chapter.
Like watching a WW1 documentary. Freaking coolness.
Make more of these war stories man I love them
Yes the Four years war😎
You know...any video that gives the Daedalus some fame is darn rare. I am going to have to fly mine around in STO just for that, thanks for giving 'Ol Soup Can' a moment in the sun.
couldn't not, its such a classic design and loved by the fandom.
@@venomgeekmedia9886 The classic is the best, I'm not a fan of the modernized STO versions, they look too much like a high tech marital aid.
Loved it! What a great video. I’ve always wanted to hear more about the Romulan Earth war.
It’s a shame that Enterprise didn’t go into more seasons as they seemed to be building up to the Romulan Earth war in season four.
The problem was that they refused to dump the time travel plots. The series should have started with season 4 and the war should have been its prime focous.
This was awesome, thank for all ur hard work. I thoroughly enjoyed this. To bad STE never told these stories. This would have been the story to make everyone get on board the Enterprise series.
yeah i think season 1-2 just turned a lot of people off. if they had started doing things like season 3-4 we might have seen more.
I was and still am onboard.
Excellent (please pardon the out of date references) as a Romulan from the days of Star Fleet Battle Manual and when SFB was a "pocket game" very much appreciate your perspective on the Romulans. Looking forward to future installments, as I lack the skills, talents and originality to attempt something like this myself. My hat is off to you!
Plus a hybrid of recent novel info, and the Starfleet Museum fan website...

Im driving back into the ENT novels. Love them. Wished we could had seen Star Trek the Beginning. It would had turned into ENT's later seasons perfectly
I miss the old Star Trek, it had so much potential that was wasted.
Good back story that compliments the original Star Trek series and Star Trek Enterprise, which never fully explained the "history" that lead to the present state of affairs for both.
Very well done, future story telling at it finest! Bravo and thank you!
Great video!!! ,Its like watching a History channel documentary.

It's not that different now - both they and you have aliens...

I really enjoyed this dude. Thanks for making this.
Really enjoy your work and hope to see more!
That was pure pre TOS classic trek!!!! Wonderfully well written and excellently well narrated . THIS IS TRUE CANON and The Romulan Earth conflict SHOULD have been the basis of a series based on this period of time in the history of the United Federation of Planets ,The Vulcans alliance The Andorians and the powerful Romulan Empire...Instead of the rapid inconsistencies of Star Trek discovery
As The Klingon Empire's Commander Kor once said.on organia.. "It would have been Glorious!!!!"
Could still be. The could make a series playing 30 years after ENTERPRISE were use the the Earth Romulan war as baseline. Look the new PICARD series - where full parts Play 14 years before. The whole Mars scenery is retrospective. I would imagine a great Story: You see the space battle of Berengina from the view of the Young cadette and fights fearless and dies. Suddenly we learn it's just a virtual reality System and the Young cadette is the son of Captain Malcolm Reed who is Chief of the Defence at the Berengina Station since after the war where he was a war hero but unlike his son he doesn't like to remember that time. Like in our time war veterans often didn't want to speak on their time at war while the Children wanted. Let's say Reed's son is called Jonathan in Honor of his fathers friend Jonathan Archer. If Scott Bakula would agree I would make him as a Special guest in the Pilot - as retired Admiral Archer visiting his old friend Reed at Berengeria. Archer is now working as dilpomate for the Federation and arrives at Berengaria with his staff which includes a mystrious Young Woman called Jane. She Shows interest in Jonathan Reed and his skills and his Knowledge About the past war. During their first date she uses a time device to kidnap him back into the Time of EARTH ROMULAN WAR revealing she is a temporal Agent like Daniel was and the TEMPORAL COLD WAR is still going on. She asks Young Jonathan Reed to help her to repair Damage of time line and fight with her to save it.
i love the series that this kicked off, and i enthusiastically hope that all the battles featured in the intro will be made into their own videos.
Amazing how "Enterprise"-period tech is more sophisticated than TOS-period a century later.
(Yes, I know.)
Venom,
I have a few ideas for you. One is short series based in SW. The second is a series set in ST-TMP era.
1) Voyages of the “Yellow Hammer”. Yellow Hammer is military upgrade of a Minstrel-class space yacht in service to the Rebel Alliance. It carries 6x HH-87 Starhoppers, and 2x Eta-class shuttles. It’s story would be based off of a combination of the CSS Alabama (US Civil War) and the SMS Emden (WW1), ultimately suffering the Alabama’s fate by an Imperial task force.
2) Klingon Civil War. Based on the English Civil War (1639-1653). In this scenario the Royalists win.
Archer's speech feels very churchill in nature. Very cool.
What are the names of the military marches he uses. I know they are common in the us military for parades. But for some reason i have a better chance of developing a warp drive than finding it on youtube
Shran is like Q....every time he shows up, its a treat
Take a drink every time he says "however."
...oh shit I'm drunk 🥴 😂
As someone whose been in a Star Trek hole for the past week or two, this is one of the best story reading of the lore but dawg: 1) Compression 2) EQ 3) Gain 4) Limiter and use a VU meter to double check

yeah sorry. your not the only one to point that out.
This is the kind of thing that would have made Enterprise so much better!
Frackin' AWESOME!!!!! Does UA-cam have Oscars?
One small--and I mean small beef--never been a fan of the Maseo Okazaki/Starfleet Museum/EAS Romulan ships and their silly names, but aside form that, this is pure genius.
Well done.
Also, last time I was this early....................nope, sorry, thought I had something new.
yeah the Okazaki ships are a bit odd but they had only TOS to go on. i've mostly gone for the supposedly later designs because they fit better with what we see in ENT. the Clavicle i think does fit with romulan design but the chowder and cabbage are very odd. but the names really are silly. although so are some NATO reporting names.
As I recall, Okazaki wasn't a big Enterprise fan, and kind of took things in his own direction...
I was given to understand that we as a society agreed to forget the year everyone said frak....

15:41 woah.*I just wanna see another series of this war even if its not really good compared to the old star trek series like dsc as long at it gets the story right
The nx pre dates the dauntless class.
That class was the 1st product of the coalition.
Indeed, the Daedalus class came after the NX class. They were larger and more powerful.
Those Daedalus ships look exactly like the human ships from "Star Control" which also have guided nuclear missiles.
That was exciting and gripping.
With out even a shadow of a doubt this image is from Star Trek Kirk in command "Balance of Terror" 13:32

It would be as easy to say that planets like Khitomer which were used later in Startrek were original Xindi planets conquered by the Klingons. After the expanse was not protected by the sphere anymore they become a easy target for the more aggressive species. While the reptilians and insectiod Xindi became extinct by Klingons and Romulans some Arborians and the others might survived in few numbers but under the occupation of the Empires they are not allowed to travel.
For a new series how easy would be to make a Statement to use them as example of the REFUGUEES of our days. You could say some hundred thousand Xindi got asylum on Earth Living in the Cold Canadian Forests.... the possiblies were endless.
Romulans just didn`t realize they were fighting the most aggressive species in the quadrant, shoulda studied Earth history lol

How was it that an alien planet, with a totally different ecosystem than we have on earth, would name one of its warships after a species from Earth, the Sparrow?
It's translated. Earth-based english translators automatically substituted whatever looks closest to the original word.
Did u know that ST: Enterprise was the second highest rated Trek series on IMDB. Total episodes rated over 7.5 or more divided by total episodes! DS9 was the highest with 60%. Ent rated @ 51%, FYI TOS with 50% and TNG & VOY with 47%. Too soon to tell about recent Trek and/or not enough episodes!!! In the past, 7 seasons was considered a success but now maybe with 10 episodes a year, 5???
you should check out oculas imperia. he does a sort of in cannon chronicle for 40k and i feel a federation chronicle style would boost ur channel

Thunderbird 2 goes to war!
I tought it was called the Earth-Romulan war?
depends who's referring to it.
@@venomgeekmedia9886 You do have a point there.
Few centuries later 'disgraced' commander has warbird class named after him? Remote capture - kind of Mary Sue device...
the story of Valdore is not over...
This is excellent. Keep it coming!
It is interesting that ships in star trek used to be models they used for filming and it meant lots of supposedly different ships looked the same and could be recognised. When they started using cgi it should mean you dont get the same models used but that does happen. The ship parked at ds9 in the intro is used so many times its sad. But the cgi models are reused too. Even in other sci fi shows they do this. One example i bet noone recognised is that stargate atlantis has wraith hive ships. There are no models its cgi but in stargate universe the drone carrier ships are wraith hive ships with a new skin. It saves money and i like to spot these things. A documentary called ancoent aliens used the cgi model of a stargate earth ship in a clip disguised as an alien craft.
Please take note of over-using the word "however".
That happened in the 2100's not 2200's!!! As in the 22nd century not the 23rd century...
The 3 however really threw me off, but excellent video.
This is good. This is very good
1:38 if Romii is meant to be “Rom II”, as in “Romulus II” or Remus, like in that one TOS episode, isn’t it a bit far away on the map?
the map isn't to scale its more illustrative. and remember systems took longer to reach in the 22nd century so distances are presented as greater.
Venom Geek Media 98 I’m sure planets would still be in the same places regardless of how fast you could get there, but I’ll take that it’s just for illustration purposes.
Not knocking the video btw, really enjoyed it and your delivery! Shame that with apparently dozens of Daedalus ships available during the early war, we never got to see or even hear about them during the last seasons of Enterprise. Not even in an episode called “Daedalus”!
I tend to treat Romii as a separate system these days, going off a reference in the Lost Era novel, The Art of the Impossible...
I Love this!!!! Please do more....
I like this. You have other episodes planned in advance?
yeah so probably 2 more episodes on the romulan earth war. maybe some episodes on star wars as well. and the 4 years war.
He was in gamma Hydra?! Isn't that Klingon/ federation space along their border?
Great telling of the battle. Only thing I'd say needs to be changed, don't need to say "however" so much. Hear it so often that it breaks the picture of the story just as we are getting back into it from the last "however" Otherwise, please keep up the great work.
Great Videos .
So where were the Vulcans and Andorians in this mess?
Share that Sparrow Commander didn't have a bit of Klingon blood
Overall, well done... Though if the federation had so many "friends" why did none fight with them? A few Vulcan or Andorian cruisers would have finished things quickly.
early days bear in mind this is before the federation was formalized and as such while the other races might support earth its another thing to stick their neck out for them.
Enterprise needs more seasons!
Star trek new series crisis and conflicts in the 22century featuring scott bakula as archer Connor o trinner and Jeffrey combs as shran and many More guest star many enterprise cast like Linda Park etc
If the Romulans had the cloaking device, there is no way Earth and their allies could have won this war.

im presuming its after Andrew Probert although that breaks the 4th wall.
Any source for the pictures of some of the Daedalus-class ships? And their registries?
Sounds like a replay of the battle of the Marne.
Great Story, would love to see a movie based on the Romulan Earth wars.
Very good
11:53 why have the Romulans named one of their ships after a bird species (Sparrow) indigenous to earth when they hated earthlings. Yes yes i know you will have some amazing explanation, but still you got to wonder.
Why would the Japanese in the 1940s name their fighter aircraft English names and numbers (Frank, Zero, etc.) when they were at war with English speaking countries? Oh, wait, yeah they didn't. Those names were just American military codenames to simplify recognition for English speaking soldiers who couldn't speak or memorise Japanese.
Not rocket science.
Ding we have a winner, know it all of the month with sarcasm to boot.
Not a bad video but you need to really work on your narration. You're often leaning in to the mic a lot and/or raising your voice for inflection, and it makes it seem like every fourth or fifth word is practically shouted. When speaking on a SUBJECT your standard SENTENCE comes across like THIS. A more naturalistic pace and steady volume would greatly improve the quality.
50 seconds in you stated the year "2254" was when Archer figured out the Romulan planning. the TOS episode "The Cage" was supposed to take place in 2254 according to Wiki.
I think you meant to say 2154?

There is one thing that has always confused me about Star Trek. The Federation is made up of many different alien species but whenever they have a battle (like Wolf 359) or go to war (like the Dominion War) the only ships we ever see are Starfleet ships? Why is it we never see Andorian, Vulcan, or Betazoid ships etc, etc?
because by that time andorian and vulcan ships are starfleet ships. they all contain technologies from the member races like the Eurofighter typhoon.

Around 9:20 you say the Dadealus Class has a draft of 48 feet? Did they put these ships in water?
D Sloop the understanding of term draft, in this meaning, is the depth of the vertical height of a ship, be it seagoing or spaceflight, ... draft, (even in auto racing means to fill in an area, with the body of another vehicle), ... so to put it into a context terminology status, the area being filled is comprised of the ship’s whole vertical height, rather than the displacement off a portion of the hull, ...So, when putting a ship into dry dock, be it on land, or in space, it needs to be secured from front (forward), to rear (aft), and to encompass all within that realm, ...
Does anyone have stats updated for the current timeline for the Marshall class Destroyer?
Admiral? Really last episode of enterprise he’s still captain ?
Can the daedalus class ships detach their sphere in the stories.
Yes it can
