In '95' I took my daughter to Paris, France for the first time. I did not know the language. My first sight of the Eiffel Tower was from a bus in soft rain I can remember that vision every time I close my eyes. We had a great time. First time on the metro. In AZ we have buses only. WE took the metro everywhere. My dad fought in WW1 in France. I have his discharge papers. I had no idea how we were going to make it to Sacre' Coeur Montmartre where the hotel was that first night. But 5 hours later my daughter and I made it. Spiral staircase to the second floor, I slipped and slide down to the ground floor. Memories i will never forget. I hope to make it back with my granddaughters. I am so glad to hear of your site to learn more about Paris, France and places to eat and for kids to play. My daughter loved the bread, I really loved the food it was so delicious. We got lost so much, but it was awaking to new things we never thought about. We met an older gentleman that asked if we needed help. I said no we are ok. I hope to bring my grandkids to Paris, France someday,
I too have soul memories of Paris...can close my eyes and just like that I'm there❤ wish to go back and trace my Dad's steps there shortly after Paris was liberated... I have his pictures.
Thank you so much for your awesome videos, my friends! Drinking my coffee and watching your videos on Saturday mornings was my lovely, relaxing routine in 2023 and will continue to be in 2024::)) From the bottom of my heart, best wishes for a happy and a healthy new year and please continue sharing your joy and experiences in one of the best European capitals!!
Over two hours of Frenchies? Yes, please! ☺️ Happy New Year Colleen and Antoine! 🥂🍾 Thank you for another wonderful year of sharing Paris with us! Cheers to Olympic 2024, looking forward for your videos! ❤
Wishing everyone a joyful and healthy new year. Many thanks to Colleen and Antoine for a fabulous year of the best videos of Paris and the outskirts anywhere on the Internet. You are so hardworking and thorough in your tours -- that Les Frenchies is truly a one stop site for informed and honest suggestions for what is on offer in Paris! Your site has become my Saturday morning (with a second cup of coffee) routine here in New York City.
Wow! Two +hours. Loved it. This was our year to go to Paris and it was wonderful. Spent my 70th in Jardin du Leuxmbourg. It was the perfect place for such a day. Then had dinner on Le Calife! What a day . Thank You Colleen and Antoine for All your videos. As we waited and prepared to visit, they were invaluable. Now that it is a wonderful memory, it is so lovely to watch different videos and remember how we enjoyed being there. Wishes for Good Health and happiness to both of you for the New Year, and also to all those around the world who so enjoy all your videos every week. We feel we are all a part of a home village in Paris and France. Thank You and God bless🥰
🇫🇷❤️Fabulous video Colleen and Antoine, merci for an amazing year of enjoying a "quick trip to Paris" every Saturday morning. I did something on my last trip to Paris that shocked all my friends---I went to a very touristy Paris attraction and had the time of my life. A night filled with joy, lots of champagne and new friends. Oui, I went to the 11 pm Moulin Rouge Revue. I am so sorry I listened to other people's negativity and stopped myself for 20 years from checking out the Moulin Rouge. The 11 pm show is very affordable. The venue, dancing, costumes are spectacular and very very French. On y va!❤
Thank you so much! It was so fun traipsing all over Paris and environs with you two. I experienced exhaustion with you on the bateau trip/excursions! What is so charming about you as a couple is how kind you are to each other, it's obvious how much you enjoy each other's company and that fun and sweetness rubs off on us, your viewers. Happy New Year!
Was excited to see The Viking Radrid...will be doing the Paris/Normandy cruise 7/2024. The Califfe dinner cruise looks wonderful! This is such an amazing video.😍 There is so much to do in Paris, so much more than I ever imagined. Thank you for all you do for us.💕
We are neighbours from Spain. My husband and I are learning so much from your videos and marking down places to eat and visit when we visit France a few times a year. Many thanks fro you informative videos. Happy New Year to both of you.
@@LesFrenchiesTravelI’ll be visiting Liverpool, Manchester, South of France and Paris and I know I’m gonna have fun in Paris ! Merci ! Cheers from Austin Texas . Claudia
@@acbc3543South of France is pretty wide and varied and vague. I am from the south myself (south west). I hope you are not there for only a week. Also, if you meant the South East of France, i would advise avoiding going there during August. Sometimes, it reaches 43° C (110° F i guess) with around 80% humidity. Beyond sweltering. I don't know if the humidity is the same in Texas. Unlikely. But i hardly know anything about the place. And we barely use AC, too, since it is so bad for the environement. So, better be prepared.
Thanks so much for this. You’ve done all the hard work for us. I just discovered your channel in the past few months. I look forward to Saturday mornings, curling up with a coffee and watching. You are both, by far, amongst the best UA-cam channel that I watch. Merci et bonne année 🥳👋🇨🇦
I love all of your videos. When I go there with my husband, it would be soo so cool if we just kind of saw you two out in the wild. :) Thanks for all you do!
I initially fell in love with the language, and now I'm totally interested in the nation itself. I'm glad I found this channel. Thank you for giving us a great list of places to go when I finally get the funds to travel there! Thank you and good health and fortune to both of you!
I can watch and rewatch this again and again. You two do an amazing job capturing Paris. Thank you so much for allowing us to “ escape” our daily lives. Happy New Years! I hope your 2024 is full of love, peace, and adventures.
I just wanted to take a moment to express my deep appreciation for Antoine and Colleen DuPont. Your dedication, time, and effort in sharing such an intimate and authentic perspective of life as a couple in Paris have been absolutely invaluable. The way you showcase the ins and outs of visiting this incredible city-from the can’t-miss restaurants and attractions to the hidden gems-is simply inspiring. Your practical tips, like navigating the metro, avoiding pickpockets, and making the most out of every moment in Paris, are a true gift to travelers like me. The energy and positivity you bring to each of your UA-cam videos make me even more excited for my upcoming trip back to Paris next week. I feel so much more prepared and eager to dive into the city, armed with the insights and tricks you’ve so generously shared. Merci, merci, merci for all that you do! Your passion for Paris shines through in every video, and it’s clear that you’re helping countless people make their Parisian dreams come true. Looking forward to more of your fantastic content!
During my visit Nov 2023, although cool and rainy, I saw and fell deeper in love with the top sites in Paris. I deeply desire and plan to return to tour more of France 🇫🇷 within two years. We had guided tours which I recommended. However, self guided, meandering is good because it is impossible to not stumble upon fabulous surprises. ❤
You came up on my feed yesterday and I've been binge watching your marvelous videos. In my travels I have treated large cities as something to get through on my way to the countryside. You make Paris come alive and you are a charming couple. Good company.
A lot of places to see - most of them, understandably with an entrance fee (How else could the maintenance be kept up in those fancy palaces!) - then add food and transportation, and people must pay a ton for only a couple of days of traveling there!!! That said, it looks like such an iconic City - huge, with so much to take in - i DO wish I could go!! Thank you for taking us along!
Bonjour Antoine and Colleen. Tres beaucoup de choix 😀 another Saturday morning another great video. Have a marvelous new year. Can’t wait to return France
