It was so much fun to meet you both personally in Montmartre this morning! Thank you for all you do! It is a joy to watch your channel! Mark & Michele from Phoenix, AZ
When Antoine said "I love you" and Colleen replied "I love you, too" and they both looked at the sunset... oh, holy guacamole! Like a Colleen, a Frenchman also captured my heart. Aren't they so sweet?
Don't think I've ever watched a 4 hour video. Truly a wonderful experience seeing these amazing places. Cried with you at the American Cemetery, laughed at how many times Antoine said "sh*t" in the mud and enjoyed seeing 2 people so in love just as they were in 1999. ❤
Good morning! I watched all about your pickpockets guide so I am ready for my day trip in Paris. Thank you very much for your videos and your time reading this! ❤❤❤
Loooooove the video. You are the one who motivated me to go back to France after 6 years off. Now since 2023, we go there in May. Tried all the good restaurants and visit the museum. Thank you. One day we will meet you in Paris
I love youuuuu! He plays symphonic music with his piano and flute gestures when the food is good and tasty and she claps her hands like a happy satisfied baby and becomes all goowey 😂😂😂😂😂😂
let say that the mont saint michel is quite something i agree ( i know what i am talking about, i walked twice, bsrefoot on it, the better tips : never stop moving, if you stop, it's the end of everything !)
You two are such a great couple! After watching several of your videos, I found myself naturally saying "Allez on y va" now whenever I need to get myself going, lol! 🙂
I’m watching this on D-Day 2024. Eleven years ago I visited Normandy Beaches with 2 of my sisters. But the U.S. government was in one of its annoying shutdowns, so we were unable to see the American Cemetery. Thank you for filming this and sharing it, as well as your very honest emotional reactions. I’m sharing those as I watch.
What month did you do your day trip in this video to Honfleur? Oh my stars…Dupont Calvados is the best! We love your channel thank you for all the wonderful videos, hoping one day to do a food tour with Vincent in Paris
@@LesFrenchiesTravel we always try to travel during low season so it usually ends up being April or October. Did you all stay in Bayeux? If not, and you ever decide to go back for a weekend do stay at the hotel Villa Lara! 5 stars and the owner Rima is an incredible hostess.
On Chagall's tomb, there were lots of stones, which is a Jewish tradition whereby the act of placing visitation stones is significant in Jewish bereavement practices. Small stones are placed by people who visit Jewish graves in an act of remembrance or respect for the deceased.
Oh, that's interesting as I remember the Jewish people doing that at the end of the Schindler's List film. I shall watch the video again as I missed seeing Chagall's tomb
Evelyne 🇨🇦
I am watching this on Veteran's Day, 11/11/24. I encourage everyone to see the movie "The Girl Who Wore Freedom" about the love and care the French have for the American servicemen and their graves and their families who visit.
Hi I stumbled on your account and I am obsessed with you guys I have so many things book marked for future travel visits!!. We are from the US and my husband and I will be traveling to London on June 19th for a wedding. We will have 3 days to ourselves and would like to make the most of London. Are there any tips you could share or AirBnb’s you could suggest? The hotels I have found are between $500- $600 a night! Hopefully look forward to hearing from you!! 😊
My hubby and I cast it to our bedroom TV on Sunday mornings and watch. I've been to France have French DNA , he hasn't so I am hoping he sees what d'adore. One day but if we don't go because of circumstances beyond our control, we go through you. Nous sont Australiens
@@LesFrenchiesTravel the flower show is called Novafleur, I think, and it starts on Sept 25. I'm not sure how long it is, possibly through the weekend.
So good!!! I will be there in September and cannot wait! This is giving my hubs and I so many great suggestions for our two weeks driving around France! This is amazing! I am a low-carb, no-sugar vegetarian (I beat Type 2 diabetes with my lifestyle change!) and am very anxious that it will be hard to find meals I can eat. The research is really disappointing me. I hope I can maintain my health journey while on vacation. 🤪
There are a lot of new vegetarian places popping up all the time. And more and more vegetarian options being offered in traditional restaurants. Also, traveling in September, you should still have lots of summer salads and heavy summer vegetable meals on menus. For Paris, we have a vegetarian restaurant guide available on our website.
@@LesFrenchiesTravel thank you!!! I will check out the vegetarian dining guide! We have four nights in Paris. Two nights on either end of the trip. This will help so much. Thank you so much for the encouraging comment. I’m less concerned about what I will find for meals, now. This is so helpful. 😊
No I wouldn't recommend it. We regretted not staying both night in Honfleur. The hotel room was much nicer and also cheaper. The advantage of sleeping on the island is that all the tourists are gone. We were so tired from our travels that we ended up going to bed by 930pm
We are searching for day tours more for the English/Australian troops history at Normandy. Most of the day trips seem to be to the American memorials - no offence to Americans - but living in Australia and of English heritage we are looking to explore that side. Any suggestions?
Ironically, Day 1 of D-Day had more British and Canadian troops than Americans landing in Normandy. Look for tours that focus on Sword and Juno Beach but it's hard to find tours without the American side of it.
@@LesFrenchiesTravel thank you. When I looked at all the organised tours they only mentioned American troops!! Not any other nationalities - which lead to our wrong assumption!! Will look for the areas you mentioned. Your videos are very informative and helpful - I am gradually watching them all in readiness for 2025!!
@@LesFrenchiesTravel So 4 hours have passed. Not really as I realised quite soon that I had seen all the videos before. Made me realise how much we need to get back. After all Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder! I'll get my coat😂😂
Alain, how in all that’s holy did you manage to skip the entire Arsene Lupin connection to Normandy and L’Aiguille crease by Maurice Leblanc? 😮 And while you are at it, correct the typo for the Bordeaux accommodation: JardIn public, not Jardon, pretty please!
this is a compilation of all our smaller videos. Some people like to have everything into one place. But all those videos already exist in smaller videos
The moment you realize this is a 4 hour video! 🎉🥳🎉

Id really like to see you explore some of the great bookstores in Paris, and especially the English language ones.

I like the shirts Antoine wears. Maybe you guys should do a video about your fashion.
ha...maybe some day...
The hotel Saint-Pierre had iffy reviews. Musty rooms, noisy streets, shower issues. Would you recommend this hotel after staying there? Merci!

Claude Monet garden and house is a short visit though, expect between 1 and 2 hours at most. Not worth coming from far in my opinion.
I had to laugh because next summer we hope to be part of the “ river cruise crowd” that gets to enjoy the place ( fingers crossed ).
Colleen loves her stripes and scarves. 😊

Napoleon in the 1920's?
