Magazine and Firearm Break in

Well said, as always.
IMHO best rifle break in is add plenty lube and do some mag dumps. The dirt, voilence, fouling, and heat helps wear in. Same with racking and dry fire. Run it like you paid for the whole hour. If I can I like to use grease for the break in. It makes a gray slurry that burnishes everything in. After she feels smooth, blow out and go with lube of choice. Your life may depend on function. Work the kinks out early. If its not running beautifully in one range trip, you need to diagnose and repair.
When I add new mags, I like to load them up and let them sit on the shelf loaded a week before I even fuck with em. Help the spring take the "working" set. Also clean your fkn mags dirty ones can be more hateful.
