Quitting Youtube
Yeah, I am done. All content will stay up and I still encourage you all to go back through and learn from it, there is quite a bit of knowledge in there. This channel has always been a bit of an experiment and it has failed in my eyes. Instagram is going to be my main platform for the foreseeable future so if you aren't over there and need your Nocturne Kinetics fix, head on over there and check it out. Thank you to all of my supporters, keep your mags jammed up and your fighting positions dry.

Black and Gold Plan (Patrol Base)

One of the first things an element leader needs to do after occupying a patrol base is establish the black and gold plan for the duration of the element's stay at that location. Casualty Equipment Bags

A simple but overlooked piece of gear, think of the casualty equipment bag as the bigger brother to your belt mounted dump pouch. It prevents you from leaving sensitive gear laying around after you strip it off a casualty in order to work on them, and any random large items that you don't want to carry by hand off target can fit in the casualty bag. I know you mentioned it in the video, but will the land nav taught at basic training be enough?
Good ideas. This was not covered in my training. LOL
It covers virtually everything. Thanks!
I have to say, this has been one of the best video’s I’ve seen on this topic. Honest and down to earth with no BS. I’m so sick and tired of video’s with guys running around with a bunch of kit like they’re “operators” and that doesn’t make any sense, at all, for civilians. It’s down right ridiculous. Thanks for speaking the truth and well done, well done.
I’ve heard you should be shooting for 80 pushups, 90-100 sit ups, 10 pull ups, and a 35:00 5 mile to truly be competitive. Any thoughts or input on this? I would like to know where to set my personal goals to truly be a worthy candidate. Also, Thank you for the video. This helped clear up a lot of my questions
they do 5 mile runs at a 6:45 pace in pre rasp
yeah I'll stay with the 28
A lot of dudes that have a lot of experience in this matter have said 28-29 people like Larry Vickers who have a resume longer then anyone in the business. Do what you want, I think it just alleviates the very real risk of certain magazines not seating properly and falling out at the worst time possible
What is on the top of your head??!!??!!😂
I have stairs that go straight down. The thing im worried about is my whole body being exposed before i can even see the room
Then why do US Marines load 28?
Great question that I don't have an answer to. In my experience they also like to repeatedly charge straight at machinegun squads in wargames instead of manuevering on the enemy, which is also something you shouldn't do.
Just came across your channel. Sorry to see you go. It sucks because there are a lot of good creators out there but their channel just never took off for one reason or another.
bummer drag my man
The "hook" is called an Emerson Wave I believe
What bracelet is that?
KIA bracelet
Went from running 1 mile taking break running 1 more mile to 2 miles consistent to 2.5 miles consistent on beach over dunes. I’m not where I need to be but I’m taking it day by day and hoping it pays off
Same here bro
Thanks for the advice.
Agree, I learned this playing call of duty…. Haha. But I still run a top mounted red dot for passive aiming through nv(as a backup to my laser) and just as a backup if my scope goes down
People will believe what others say according to anecdotal stories of being in combat or at courses
Works well with practice.
Is Atibal made in USA

What's long range to u ? 50m 100m
The point of the video is not a specific range, it is time. You can easily engage a threat at say 500m on 1x initially, giving you time to get behind cover, get in the prone, etc and decide if you want to dial up the magnification. You don't have that time to dial down if someone conducts a near ambush on you (35m and in). In the general context of shooting, long range is beyond 400-600m depending who you ask, but this also varies based on the gun, caliber, and optic. Long range for your CCW gun is different from a 5.56 AR which is different from a bolt gun in 300 Winmag.
Ever considered a patreon?
I have not, but if people are willing to pay for that, I might consider it.
The whole point of 1x is to eliminate the need for offset. I swear people just want to burn money.
What about exposed railings
If you can see it you can clear it
Do you have to use your issued ruck and boots or can you use your own as long as they follow army requirements of course
Issued
I'm leaving in October with am option 40, just hit a 37 minute 5 mile, getting a ruck soon so I cam start practicing that, in your opinion is the 5 miler or the 12 mile ruck harder
It really depends on where your strengths are fitness-wise, prior to the military I ran XC and ran consistent 31 minute 5 miles, but I was very skinny and moving under weight was more difficult so initially rucking was more of a grind, although still easily doable. Sounds like from your 5 mile time you are more on the other end of the scale and should focus on the running. Your rucking will be built up over time anyway and passing the 12 mile should be easy by the time you get to it through basic training, Pre-RASP and the earlier weeks in RASP. Try to get your 5 mile below a 35 minute time consistently, you need to remember you are going to be doing this PT tests while already tired and run down from weeks of selection not when you are fresh under ideal conditions, the weather might suck ass that day, etc. Basically you would have to be pretty out of shape to not pass the ruck, but the 5 mile gets a lot of people who over-estimate their running fitness.
@nocturnekineticsweaponsand470 Yeah I'm about 190, I can squat 455 so I'm not so much worried about the leg strength just the endurance aspect, i guess I'll stick to just plain running tho to build that up
@@spicyjuice1434 Yeah you are plenty strong and that is great for when you actually get to your battalion, I would mostly focus on the running part then for you.
@@nocturnekinetics Are you allowed to bring your own ruck and boots ad long as they comply with said standards or do you have to use what your issued
My Atibal 1-10 has a circle around the center dot.
They offer it in a couple of different reticles now, the one you are mentioning is the XV2.
Cool trick! tho flipping it open out of my pocket and near my thigh would have me a bit nervous
Open away from one’s body.
What flags you for your psych evaluation in pre rasp
Asking people questions like this are a definite red flag that you aren't going to pass your psych evaluation.
@@nocturnekinetics I’m actually curious cause people passed with criminal charges and some with minor anger gets dropped I was wondering is it just random
@@garygraves5699just be honest. If you need to prepare your psyche to pass, you should probably rethink. These guys bullshit meters are very accurate, so just be real.
I agree not only because of cost but because of weight. In a cqc environment it’s the fractions of a second that count and if you shoulder the rifle a bit off you may end up missing the eye box. I like the versatility but I am not sure if this aspect is a deal breaker for me yet since I recently started playing with the lpvos but I can tell you the rds is instinct for me after using them for years. I think like anything you are running it’s about your training.
Obviously if your role is to do CQB then yes a red dot is a must but everyone else that isn't doing CQB the 1x is good enough and if you really want to cover your bases get a LAM. 5mw is bright enough to be daylight visible in any interior of a building
As long as you have a decent LPVO, the eyebox should be fine, especially at 1x. I grew up on irons, then learned red dots when I was first in the military, and then transitioned to LPVOs with no issues. You just have to actually use it.
thanks, i’m all about eye relief & EB and you answered my question, some reviewers don’t put enough weight into eye box when they learned on a 1.5” eye relief ACOG
This is a shame as I _just_ found your videos ...
Yep. Great content. My son is in regiment, and going through Ranger school right now and what you're saying is spot on. You said what you said and then guys are asking you for specific workout advice and asking you what surface pushups are on...😂
Yeah, those people usually drop day 1 anyway, everyone is glad to not have to hear them anymore after that. Hope your son is having fun in Ranger School, that place sucks.
Snaggle tooth tactical also makes a neat little piece you should check out.
I dont dial in until at least 300 yds. I stay at 1x most of the time
This ain't it
You have a comic book character for a bio picture, your opinion is disregarded.
@@nocturnekinetics You made a video about leaving UA-cam because it was too hard, then came back to talk shit on the internet to a guy who had the audacity to disagree with you. Your opinion doesn't mean shit.
@@CredibleHulk10 Lol. Lmao
@@nocturnekinetics 😉 All jokes aside, I'm digging your videos; lots of good stuff presented in a solid way.

Good video, 👍
Horrible video brother cant lie.
Phones, really?😆
I don't know if you check the comments on UA-cam anymore, but I wanted to say thanks for the tip on the Surefire g2x. I ended buying a BCM 1" m-lok ring and a used Surefire g2x tactical light for a total of $75. It's incredible value for a high-quality light setup.
Glad it is working out for you and that it saved you some money!
AS an Airborne grunt in vietnam(173rd) and 150 lbs soaking wet and considerably less after humping the bush,I know that size does matter, basically a 200lb guy carrying a 80-90 lb pack will wear down less than me with more than half my bodyweight on my back. Got any hints for the smaller guys other than just have to tough it out.
Get really strong, go full gnome mode. Can't say I have much personal experience with this bit it seemed to work out for others.
"your going to have time"?? Let me introduce you to MR. Murphy. He is going to ensure you dont have time.
It's called you suppress on 1x. Mr Murphy can get fucked.
