Damn X-ray engine is fucking monster! For me The only better thing in unreal engine (in this footage) is nature, moving trees and grass and sum textures. I dont like lighting compared to x-ray, too bright. But im sure stalker 2 will be way better than chernoblyat, what we saw in teaser, atmosphere is captured pretty well.
As much as I love Xray, chernobylite does look technically vastly superior. However the performance in chernobylite looks horrible, 50 FPS on a 3070 ? oof.

Hexagonal lens flares are such a trash idea. Literally "photorealism" (as in, looks like a camera) - but whose eye is a camera? Eyes are eyes. We don't get polygonal lensflares.
Unreal Engine have strange gameplay, very arcade physics, not accurate, smaller maps, i dont like much... X-Ray engine are full of bugs, but they look more real physics at least. Lets hope Stalker 2 dont be a trash because this crap child unreal engine. 50% of all games @ unreal engine, soo generic, games of all types. Yeah, def is a crap engine. Good graphics... waiting for stunk gameplay with a deficient player that cant jump and making headshots at shooting foots and vice versa.

Unreal Engine 4 looks like every other game coming out while X-Ray is unique and still holding its own despite its age.
I mean as long as it's closer to life so i can immerse myself even more.
I personally think Chernobylite looks amazing, and they did a great job at NOT looking like every unreal engine game.

How do you get so good trees and foliage? In latest RCs it's very crispy also with AA +smaa + nvidia cp AA tweaks for me
Kepp in mind how old is xray engine and how new is UE4! I think xray engine was ahead of its time.
