If you are doing a side by side comparison or "VS" as you say , why would you NOT have them doing the same type of froth??? Hot vs cold is like comparing apples to oranges. You are not comparing anything so this video is pretty pointless.
Not a fair and a professional way.,,apple to apple comparison,...you can't determine which model is better while using two different cold and hot functions to compare the result for this experiment...also using metal spoon on non-stick surface will ruin the life of any appliance!!
I was looking for capacity info myself and found it on the Nespresso site. They're virtually identical: Plus: Maximum capacity if preparing milk froth: 130ml, Maximum capacity if preparing hot milk: 250ml. #3: Maximum capacity if preparing milk froth: 120 ml, maximum capacity if preparing hot milk: 240 ml.
Brian, have you compared any of the aeroccinos versus the steam based frother of the Latissima Plus? I have not been able to find such a comparison and I think it would be interesting.
can you use half & half or creamer instead of milk? or is there a preferred milk to be used? I heard the units wont work on a specific kind... Please help!
I would definitely recommend a coffee steam wand from a espresso machine. It gives much better micro foam. For cold milk, the aeroccino probably works better
this was excellent - having used both frothers regularly, I have to say the 3 is marginally better in my opinion and agree with all aspects of the video review. Thanks for the video!
When the Plus first came out, I ordered the new style whisks for my original model. That made a noticeable difference in the foam. These can be ordered from Nespresso when ordering capsule. It looks like the only change for this model is the handle, so I wouldn't expect much of a difference between plus and #3. Would have like to see apples to apples comparison.
One major thing was not mentioned in this video: the type of milk greatly influences the amount and density of froth... the lady at the Nespresso store told me to use 2% regular milk. (not the micro filtered one, or skim or 3,25%) I bought the areoccino + yesterday and got AMAZING results (hot froth) with standard 2% milk, while the microfiltered one (also 2%) produced almost no froth... the advantage of the aeroccino+ is that it often costs 50% less when bough with a Nespresso machine...
Been wondering if the whisk on either of these units can be used interchangeably? I've heard the new cold/latte whisk on the 3 works better than the Plus, can u use the newer whisk of the 3 on the Plus?
This is not a fair comparison. The whisk used in the aeroccino plus was not the frothing whisk. I have the plus version and it is no different in making froth or just whisked hot milk than the aeroccino 3
If you please Can you tell me to my question about the device, whichever is best milk foam: Secura Automatic Electric Milk Frother and Warmer or: Nespresso Aeroccino Plus I've found in the Amazon site and Thank you very much On your videos I am from Saudi Arabia =)
I have the aeroccino plus and it’s froths very good just like the aeroccino 3. It also depends the milk you use. This is not a good comparison video imo
I was willing to buy one since I saw it on Nexpresso.com but now it doesn't seems that awesome. It looks like to take that spring thing out the hand won't fit very easy. Looks that is for slim or small hands. Though it probably can be reached with the tips of the fingers. And, in the other hand, you had to use a spoon to take the froth out!!?? it doesn't come out that easy like in Nespresso videos? Disappointed.
Actually, having the chance to test both devices many times at friends I consciously went for the Plus version. The stylish aspect and the convenient handles on the spinning parts of the 3 were not persuasive enough as I like lots of milk for myself and when I have guests sometimes I get enough for two capuccinos at one go from the Plus which has a slightly bigger capacity...
Using these dedicated frothers is OK. But I have much better way to do it. I didn't exactly invent or devise this method. I sort of stumbled into it. Let me explain. I've had espresso machines for about forty years. I've struggled with getting enough foam for much of that time. My big old semi-auto Starbucks espresso maker (an unsuccessful and discontinued model I got on sale) was never that great for foaming with its simple steam wand. So I got a ten dollar hand held foamer. Or rather I got a series of them. The maids tended to put them through the dish washer. They worked more or less on the same principles as the Aeroccino machines but cheaper. They were basically small electric hand mixers what we once called egg beaters. But the original Italian milk froth on your cappuccino was not whipped. It was the product of a stream of steam. I think it was a happy accident discovered in some Italian coffee bar. It was discovered that the steam used to to heat up the milk also made a pretty foam. But making good froth from a simple steam wand takes some skill. Fortunately the espresso machine makers created an invention that allowed air to enter the steam stream low down and then anyone could get good froth. That's what I found when I bought a new Breville Roma espresso machine (only about $220 on Amazon). It made great froth but poor coffee. Maybe my grinder was finished. I priced grinders and found that for the price of a decent new grinder I could get a new Breville Nespresso machine and avoid grinding altogether - only about $100. But what about the froth? No problem. So now on my counter I have two brand new Breville machines. The Nespresso machine to make the coffee and the Breville espresso machine just to froth the milk. It works great. I recommend this configuration. It's a little more expensive but steamed frothing is better. It is more authentic of course and cleans up easier. Espresso machines are now obsolete. The single serve pod machines are much much better. On the Seattle Coffee site there are machines that cost up to 8 or 9 thousand dollars. They sell simple tampers that cost more than a hundred dollars. You have to have a bang box and an expensive grinder. Worse yet you have to practice and fuss. I did this for years. I used to also have a color TV with a six inch screen and tubes inside. Nespresso machines and huge flat screen TVs - that's the ticket. My brand new Breville espresso machine is as out- of-date today as my first computer (an Altair) is.
I'm really surprised that of all the review videos, NONE tell you the capacities of the units or take the temperature of the milk when it is complete!! Or test out different types of milk to show the frothing capability. The website and the user manual doesn't give any of this (seemingly basic) info either...
A very unfair comparison. Who does not know the devices and watches the video, will certainly think that Aeroccino with handle does not work porperly (which is not true). Even you saying that the two are great, what counts are the images shown.
No put the metal spoon inside !!! The life of Aeroccino will be short. Bad comparaison. Hot milk vs cold milk. You can try make some video for hot vs hot and cold vs cold milk. This will be sure a good comparaison.
Are you drunk what kind of compression was that ? Not useful dude. When you compare things do exactly the same. It's like you asking two people who is getting to you first one should walk in cold winter and the other hot summer lol😂😂
This is one of the videos that explain " how do not know....to do a Cappuccino" Is hard to see someone to use perfectly this aeroccino with the right milk and the right coffee! Thats why cofee and cappuccino is an italian tradition! Its funny...all these guys are dressed professonal but they know nothing about how to use correctly! Puahh!
If you are doing a side by side comparison or "VS" as you say , why would you NOT have them doing the same type of froth??? Hot vs cold is like comparing apples to oranges. You are not comparing anything so this video is pretty pointless.
Stratoblaster 😂
I have aeroccino plus in hot (red) made a lot frother and I love it!!
Not a fair and a professional way.,,apple to apple comparison,...you can't determine which model is better while using two different cold and hot functions to compare the result for this experiment...also using metal spoon on non-stick surface will ruin the life of any appliance!!
I just used my aeroccino plus for hot milk & it makes tonnes of froth. Also I like the handle to help pour. This video is not a fair comparison IMHO
I was looking for capacity info myself and found it on the Nespresso site. They're virtually identical:
Plus: Maximum capacity if preparing milk froth: 130ml, Maximum capacity if preparing hot milk: 250ml.

Very helpful! My husband and I thought the plus was the new one, thank goodness we watched this video!!!
Just found a great deal on the Plus frother but I am so torn because this review didn't compare them equally! Why not do a hot to hot comparison???
Yes. Whole milk is harder to froth but it delivers a much more good taste than skim or other milks. 2% works pretty well.
It's not a good idea to use a spoon of metal because of the covering on the inside. But use a more smooth material...
Why didn't you do an apples to apples (hot to hot) comparison? Otherwise, useless.
Brian, have you compared any of the aeroccinos versus the steam based frother of the Latissima Plus? I have not been able to find such a comparison and I think it would be interesting.
I wanted an equal comparison and since you used cold and hot milk I felt I did not get a proper comparison.
You're right. I did not understand.
I know it's been said before in the comments, but I just don't understand why you'd do cold milk in one and warm in the other
can you use half & half or creamer instead of milk? or is there a preferred milk to be used? I heard the units wont work on a specific kind... Please help!
I would definitely recommend a coffee steam wand from a espresso machine. It gives much better micro foam. For cold milk, the aeroccino probably works better
I just got an Aeroccino 3 from Nespresso. The base is different, there is only one whisk, and no storage. Is it an older model that you demo here?
Katherine Orloff I too have only one whisk. What is your experience so far? Did you need to buy the other whisk?
That aeroccino 3 doesn't look like the current aeroccino3. The current one doesn't have the whisk compartment in the base nor the second wisk.
Can I use the aeroccino plus base with the aeroccino 3? Same form factor?
this was excellent - having used both frothers regularly, I have to say the 3 is marginally better in my opinion and agree with all aspects of the video review. Thanks for the video!
Does the 'better' Aeroccino 3 whisks fit the older Aeroccino Plus?
how one comparing with different parameter. Just failed!!
Could you make video how to make a flat white with aeroccinos and Latissima +
Hi I have a nepresso frother and the whisk pops off when I start it do I need a new whisk or?
When the Plus first came out, I ordered the new style whisks for my original model. That made a noticeable difference in the foam. These can be ordered from Nespresso when ordering capsule. It looks like the only change for this model is the handle, so I wouldn't expect much of a difference between plus and #3. Would have like to see apples to apples comparison.
Why is it that I click on the link and it takes me to o a coffee club, and not the reference materials?
One major thing was not mentioned in this video: the type of milk greatly influences the amount and density of froth... the lady at the Nespresso store told me to use 2% regular milk. +Sharon Gulaszewski Yes you definitively can!!
Not a fair comparison. Not sure why you didn't do hot with hot and cold with cold. This didn't answer anything for me
Not an equal comparison.....
Sure, I would have preferred if you did both hot or both cold.
This is not a fair comparison. The whisk used in the aeroccino plus was not the frothing whisk. I have the plus version and it is no different in making froth or just whisked hot milk than the aeroccino 3
If you please

or:
Nespresso Aeroccino Plus
I've found in the Amazon site
and Thank you very much
On your videos
I am from Saudi Arabia =)
We never try Secura. So we can't tell you at this moment :(. Read reviews at Amazon and it will give you some ideas. Enjoy your cup, www.aromacup.com.
@singlelayer I would say Yes.
how i find the 2nd little metal thing? i only have 1?!
I have the aeroccino plus and it’s froths very good just like the aeroccino 3. It also depends the milk you use. This is not a good comparison video imo

Can the Aeroccino 3 make hot milk without the froth? Also is the interior stainless steel?
just got an inissia combo pack with the PLUS...i guess thats where the old stock goes to
Actually, having the chance to test both devices many times at friends I consciously went for the Plus version. Thank you so much!
when are you going to make a review on the areoccino 4 ?
@dtaylorus Thank for the comment. We tried to show main functionality and at same time don't make long video.
Do you have the capacity information?
Using these dedicated frothers is OK. But I have much better way to do it.

Would have made a lot more sense to compare both units in the same mode... hot. Also not a great idea to use a metal spoon with a nonstick finish.
I have watched several videos of this dude and what I gather from the comments is that he doesnt get one video right lollolololololol
Very helpful. Thanks.
Good point. We do test temperature with latest reviews :). Enjoy your cup, Aromacup.com.
Where is Brian ?
Thanks. Enjoy your cup, Aromacup.com!

Great comment. Will cover this info in next videos. Enjoy your cup, Aromacup.com
@brianbotkiller Agree :)
This comparison is not useful because you didn’t do the same temperature on both units.
awesome videos, thanks very much
thank you, this was very informative...Christmas is coming! ;)
A very unfair comparison. Who does not know the devices and watches the video, will certainly think that Aeroccino with handle does not work porperly (which is not true). Even you saying that the two are great, what counts are the images shown.

@heinygore2 Thank you.
Thank you. Enjoy your cup, Aromacup.com
Great. Enjoy your cup, Aromacup.com.
...NOT a good comparison(...should test both ...hot then cold...would NOT be much difference .
totally agree. Sticking a metal spoon in a non-stick frother is almost barbaric
Were you intentionally trying to make the Aeroccino look bad? For a fair comparison, you should have done both cold or both hot. Boo!
:). We are getting there. Please check out your new videos. Enjoy your cup, Aromacup.com.
I haven't followed the video, but comparing cold vs heating is stupid
Are you drunk what kind of compression was that ? Not useful dude. When you compare things do exactly the same. It's like you asking two people who is getting to you first one should walk in cold winter and the other hot summer lol😂😂
