Loved seeing all your books! I’ve read a lot of books over past 2 years but my shelves are full of more unread than read but i try not to worry about it! I love seeing all my books around me it’s a wonderful hobby reading and collecting books. 😄😱
The Great Circle, a long but very fine read and I am reading, and enjoying The Secrets of Hartwood Hall, thanks for the tip. Winter is coming, and books are good insulation.I have been culling and organizing my collection. Taking the ones culled to the Friends of the Library.😮😂
I'm trying very hard not to focus too much on the number of unread books that I've got. I think that if it brings you joy to have many unread books, that's what's important. But I do think it's very easy to get stressed about the numbers 😱
I love that I have many books to choose from in my home. I buy books, and sometimes I read them very quickly, and others are to sit and wait on my shelves for when I'm in the mood for them. I would not focus on numbers but on what is reasonable for the space you have available. Your bookshelves look like they will not take much more, so you might need to think of unhauling some you've read or what I do when I get to that stage is buy another bookcase😂 I like to have lots of books available, both read and unread, in case I get housebound due to my disability or the weather, or as we saw 4 years ago, shops/libraries having to close due to the rona. You do what makes you happy, Emily. . Ps I am never counting my books😂😂
I think I have definitely been collecting more since covid. I read a lot and like to have enough of different genres to allow me to mood read. Have started looking more at my read books to work out which books I will re read so I have more space..
Thank you for the tour! You have so many books I have never seen before! 😲 You're ratio is waaaay different than mine. I think I have somerwhere around 500 books and have probably read less than 10%. I tend to get rid of them after I read them unless I really love them or intend to reread. Also, I read very slowly and love collecting books. I say we should do what is fun and makes us happy.
😂😂😂 my non booktubey friends did not get this - i told them I had 248 unread books - they nearly staged an intervention! I have not counted my read - maybe I will! I think you need to ask yourself what you want. Are you happy? If not why, want do you want your home library to be? Fun questions Emily 💜💜💜📚
📚 I definitely have more unread than read.
I was very surprised at how different my numbers were
📚🙀🐈⬛
