I loved the colors on the steelbook and was STUNNED when I realized there was no special features! Then no bluray! It was hard to justify the price, but it looked pretty enough for me to grab.
I would so rather read subtitles than watch a dubbed soundtrack.

I used to not mind when I was younger but as I got older I was like subtitles are the way to go lol. The voice actors doing the dub are always just flat with no emotion loll. The price was tough but I wanted to review it and at least it looks great lol
I agree, I had already bought the this 4k and hadn’t played it, I didn’t know of the non extras until THIS review. Guess I have to live with it 😂
La femme Nikita had 5 seasons and Nikita had 4. Not a bad run for both

That’s the French import? They did get more extras but i’m not sure if they have subtitles.
Man I FREKEN hate when they give us no material on the film and that sucks and then it's expensive! That really grinds my damn gears
The price should be at the minimum $10 cheaper and that would still be overpriced. This was cheap and lazy.
Deep Discount has it for 29.99 and I believe their free shipping is over $25. Very underrated site for movies. Very good prices and they have alot of Arrow stuff and some other boutique labels.

UK version just postponed until December!! Amazon just sent email, not happy, US version for me.

That’s more than likely the cause but so late is disappointing.
I think the UK version gets extras. I really hope this isn't going to be a standard approach from the studios with bear bone extra expensive 4k limited edition sets.
Me too! This was way too high of a price just for the movie. Hopefully the only reason there is no extras is because of the languages but they could have done subtitles? And they charged like they gave us more.

@genelewisjr It’s just how it goes sometimes. Unfortunately some extras are locked to the distributor in a certain region.

lol yeah that’s my mistake. Always feels like 96. I was actually talking Bond today.
I’ve never watched this film but definitely not picking it up for the price lol. Sony also did a fine 4K upgrade for The Raid: Redemption Steelbook which is also pretty pricey, but my Digital HD copy was upgraded to 4K for free on Apple TV and it blows away the video and audio of the Blu-ray!
They do have some of the best transfers and this was no diffrent but that price is a tough pill to swallow!That was nice of apple to do that.Wb would of charged you twice lol.

I went ahead and upgraded my Guns of Navarone Blu-ray to the the same 4k steelbook in a heartbeat😎
I have that Lawrence of Arabia 4K and it’s phenomenal. I’ve wanted to talk about it on here for a while but haven’t had the free video to do it lol. But Summer always makes me think of the film.

Movies like Lawrence of Arabia and 2001 can only be fully appreciated in their theatrical presentation on a big screen, so the next best thing is viewing it on the biggest Home Screen possible in its best home media release😎

I also don’t think this movie is going to be a big seller for Sony at all. One of the only releases from Sony I will not be getting. Also the film is in french which will turn off 50% of the people. Not surprised Sony didn’t add extras or anything else to this release. It will drop very quickly in price do to not being able to sell it
You’re right about that. They did add the english dub which a lot of studios won’t do which I guess is to attract english speakers. I still love the visuals but come on with the price of this to start lol

I agree the plot is riddled with holes. The biggest problem for me is, no one would ever get a job after killing a cop, ever. Maybe in France though
That’s the only conclusion I can draw is maybe in France but realistically they would want to kill her in the spot not give her a job and a life lol

I might put this movie on my watchlist, but I doubt I purchase it. Oh, by the way-and I’m sorry I’m being THAT GUY-but it’s “too” expensive, not “to” expensive (again-sorry! Just thought you might want to edit that!)

Yeah they really cheeped out on this one. I can’t figure what went into this decision making.
My steel book should arrive any day now....looks good though why u have to explain to me the story and plot...spoilers. I am more interested in picture quality Bitrate mbps , Audio sound quality....plus listening to u is full on, pause in between sentences and paragraphs.
I’m sorry you feel that way. Unfortunately this is how my reviews are structured and you are warned about the 4K review so you don’t have to watch the film review. There was a time stamp and there always is so you missed that and it’s a 34 year old movie so there isn’t going to be a warning for that section unless it’s recent. Again there’s a time stamp in the video. I also won’t be doing nitrate stuff because that’s not fair to other viewers. Maybe my style isn’t for you but that former make it wrong it’s just not for you. I appreciate your criticism but it’s not valid.
The French edition is a 3-disc set. Probably need to speak French to understand the extras though. U.S. steelbook cover looks better than the import.
